@Gianna Carter Are you taking the piss rn? If you aren't, then your statement is wrong since Mia isn't dead. Nobody in the Baker family is "dead". They're not undead zombies, they've been infected by the Mold, which doesn't kill its hosts outright. And assuming for a moment that the video was taken in the past, before Ethan arrived, this begs the question of why it exists? Why would Mia ask after Ethan in a video when she clearly establishes that she didn't want to contact Ethan (she says "You shouldn't be here" when Ethan arrives to save her). The only reason she would is if Ethan was already there.

But even that aside, given she was surprised to see him the first time they met up in the cell, and directly mentioned him having been supposed to stay away (as per her “last” message, the second we saw in the opening), she _probably_ didn’t future-proof _that far ahead_ and just ‘forget’ by the time he met her in the cell.

Ethan really frustrates me as a character. Instead of telling the cop "I'm looking for my missing wife, her name is Mia, I was attacked *show arm*, please get me out of here and call backup." He's just like "You gotta gimme your gun!" and "You wouldn't believe me if I told you!". I just wanna throttle him, he's so dumb.

Stitched with gigantic staples and an obvious spot where it has separated, a wound on his face. He didn't actually explain anything, he just says there are people trying to kill him. Which, ok fine, probably should have given the cop a hint but buzzwords are the way to go. Abducted, wounded etc. He also had a couple names (the woman/wife) - Lucas seems to know who the cop is, and the cop initially rang the door buzzer so he knows people are there. Mentioning at least one name could have helped him express "these people are the ones kidnapping people and I'm the next one". And instead of giving a straight answer he's just vague. Watch some of the other videos, he, as a character, is very apathetic about the entire thing.

Mark, you missed a little piece of story, not a big part but it helps make a little more sense. In the first episode when you are escaping the father there is a part where if you get caught he cuts off your leg and you see that the "goop juice" actually has some crazy healing ability and it shows your leg growing back on super quickly. So the stuff has some supernatural quality. Idk I just felt like you missed that and it was worth mentioning 😊

Even if they thought it was true.
That's just not how they're trained to handle these situations. It sounded ridiculous, and almost borderline offensive towards trained officers to suggest that they might behave this way. You don't de-escalate a situation with a crazy person by calling them a fucking crazy person. And you don't automatically assume that the person trying desperately to claw his way out of a boarded up window, shouting for help is the owner of the house...
If there have been reports of kidnappings, and at the premises in question someone is begging for help, the natural assumption would be to assume they are another victim.
And in _no_ situation would the officer let a person they were suspicious of out of their sight to meet them in another area with time to potentially grab weapons on the way. It was just overall a really poorly written encounter unless we're supposed to believe that that's the dumbest motherfucking officer in the entire world. which is possible because it is set in the USA... Perhaps I retract my argument.
