yes! its quite a long chart!considering the short time given.,, in real life we should not rush with administering meds because we can make mistakes… NMC should know better than us😂😂😂😅
Sir Emer I noticed in that once only meds order there is no written printed name of Dr. It's clear on top of the column that there shoul be prescriber's signature, print name and signature. Should it be coded 10 and write at the back incomplete order?
In the stat part, prednisolone instruction was not mentioned. It’s blank so should we consider it incomplete prescription? Or can we give even the instructions column is blank?
Emer what if clarithromycin is due at 8:00 and 14:00 .,, ur time for administration meds is at 14:00.., U can see that the 8:00 clarithromycin is not signed or coded.., shall we still talk about the 8:00? or just proceed to administer the 14:00
What if your drug chart has no stat medication and just starts on regular medication wat do u do do u ask assessor if any where given or u just start from what u have
If none then no need to ask the assessor. Remember that the drug chart contains all the information about the patient’s medications . If its not written then it wasn’t given.
a patient has elastoplast as an allergy and has rash as reaction, He also has a wound on his leg and is prescribed with Flucloxacillin. this patient is due for chlorphenamine and flucloxacillin. Will you administer both medication, or not, and why
What if the patient is not allergic to co-amoxiclav and was not given at 8 am because pt was off the ward and next due is during our time at 2 pm. Should we give the medication?
Under once only medication (the page before oxygen proscription) I had Prednisone and levothyroxine with no time of administration Then again under Regular medication section I had Prednisone and levothyroxine with no time of administration too.its stated start with X in the signature collum. Am practicing with do I do pls.some help
quick question In the implementation station if you have levothyroxine prescribed 100 mcg in stat and once only meds and you also have it prescribed in regular meds section same dose(100mcg) both due at your medication time in a post operation case scenario for a person who history of hypothyroidism...what is the best course of action?

Can we give levothyroxin with prednisolone ? Or we omit the medication as it will affect the absorption of thyroxin?
Please in community setting during documentation what is needed to write in box after the due time.
Hi Emer! I have a question: when it says start date Tomorrow - do I need to do sht at the Tomorrow blanck space?
Sir Emer, if the medication can be found in the only-once medicine section and regular medicine section, which section do we have to sign?
In the stat part, prednisolone instruction was not mentioned. It’s blank so should we consider it incomplete prescription? Or can we give even the instructions column is blank?

If PRN med has incomplete prescription can we code it 6?
Yes, why not?
Code 6 - incorrect/unclear prescription
Hi Emer 🖐
If penicillin is prescribed but patient has allergy on it Can we put the code 6 incorrect prescription?
Thank you 😊
That’s actually correct! It is an incorrect prescription.
@@EmerDiego hello can we put code 10? Patient is allergic to penicillin?
quick question
In the implementation station
if you have levothyroxine prescribed 100 mcg in stat and once only meds and you also have it prescribed in regular meds section same dose(100mcg) both due at your medication time in a post operation case scenario for a person who history of hypothyroidism...what is the best course of action?
You will give the start dose. Code the regular as start dose given
Hey so should I give the stat dose and then continue with the other medicine
You need to finish reading chart before dispensing any medications

Sir emer regarding levothyroxine can it be given if pt already took his meals or we need to put code?
yes you can give it, why not?
Because in instruction it should be taken before meal thats why I'm confused in case my pt will tell that he had his breakfast 😅
so you mean to say if the patient had breakfast, the patient will no longer receive levothyroxine for the day?
Or maybe can it be delay? 😅 But as what you said that it is accepted l wil just adminster it 👍
Thanks sir emer for always answering my queries 😁
Hello sir how will I join your channel?some of the video clips that I opened were only for members?
For implementation resit, is it the same medication that comes out?
Do you know if are the same medications?
hi, yes it will be the same
what is mean of X sign in MAR chart? please Emer Sir @Emerdiego
Hi it means not administered yet. One of the reasons is that the patient is not yet admitted during that time. This is not an omission. Good luck
Hi, ano po link ng continuation nitong video.? Bitin po kasi. Thanks
