My Dad cherished this song...it was my Mom's favorite. She passed 12 years ago. My Dad passed 2 years ago, and while driving home from his funeral alone this song came on the radio....it helped at that moment to feel they were together again. Thank you for your lovely reaction.
He starts off softly and hearfelt, then a little past the middle of it he goes up and pushes the vocals louder and that's when it makes you cry if you are trying hard not to by that point.
Thanks to the incomparable Eric Clapton for writing this song for all of us that need it..and to make it possible for Austin to do this beautiful rendition…to all the angels in heaven…including my daughter❤️❤️
Ugh. Makes me think of my daughter, Ariel. She passed when she was 6 years old. She would be 13 years old next month. I teared up, too. She suffered greatly before she passed, so I always think of how amazing heaven would be for her now.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your daughter Dustin. I’m sure she’s in heaven with our loving God and waiting to be with you again…someday. God bless you.

Austin’s voice is just unbelievable. There is nothing more beautiful and touching than a tender hearted man! You touched my heart.
I lost my daughter to cancer on March 18, 2018. There is not a single day that goes by that I don’t wish I could just hear her voice, get a hug, hear her laugh.. but I carry on so I can be there for my grandchildren. Some days it is a lot harder than others. I was with her til the end..and If love could have kept her well she would have lived forever.
It was always such a moving song, but Austin just takes it to another level. He puts so much emotion into not just his voice but his whole being. It was beautifully done and paid homage to a great song. Yeah, I think we all cry at this one.
You don’t have to be in control all the time. Showing love is sometimes showing that you feel as deeply as you do. Don’t ever be ashamed of tearing up at some thing that beautiful, with that poignant a message.

My mum and dad have been gone 22 and 20 yrs respectively and this song reduces me to mush when I hear it Even more so when Austin sings it. I don't believe time heals wounds I think it just helps you learn to live life differently. Tears can be healing Dennis don't fight them. Much love from across the pond.

Austin’s rendition is beautiful. This is not my favorite song, though. I lost a brother when he was 2 1/2 and I was 5. And hearing this song, I always want to say, “Of course you belong, everyone does”. I know I’ll see my little brother some day. Thanks for your reaction

There are a few moments when he moves, little things, that are exactly thing that I did when I spoke to my grandmother. And I see him speaking to his and it makes me cry harder. How can a head tilt or a hair fidget say so much?
Such a hard reaction for all of us, yet so masterfully beautiful...you know this Dennis, even in the hardest of times God's grace is there to comfort us and truth be told...there will be no more tears in heaven...God wipes them all away and that is all our hopes - to be forever reunited with the loved ones and dear friends in that place called heaven.

Such a beautiful message. Though I was raised to believe that we all knew each other before we came to mortality and know what names we all had before the names we are given by parents or others. And that's why those cast down to earth are called Sons Of Perdition, we cried because we knew and loved those cast out of heaven.

Lost my Daughter in 1992 , the year this song came out . So it has definitely meaning to me .
I am choked up..... I lost my parents in 2016..... I lost my brother in the war in Afghanistan I lost my sister in 1999, my baby nephew in 1997, my baby nephew was stillborn not a day goes by I don't think about them

A very good friend of my sent it to me the day I lost my best friend, my oldest sister Steph when I was have a really hard time with losing her.
It really meant the world to me knowing someone will always be there for me whenever I needed them.
