- Blake Shelton's new wife, Gwen Stefani, wore two different Vera Wang wedding dresses during Saturday's (July 3) ceremony and reception. An ornate veil paid tribute to her children and new husband.

Photos shared at the designer's Instagram page spotlight a gown for the ceremony and a mini-dress for the reception. The singer's veil is a true one-of-a-kind. Hand embroidered around the hem were the first names of her new family of five: Blake, Gwen, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
The actual dress is described as a "lily white silk georgette and hand tumbled tulle high low gown with a plunging neckline and a cut away back." This formal look contrasted her sassy reception dress.

Very true. But they’ve already been together 8 years and endured many tests including combining 2 different lifestyles, 2 busy careers, homes in 2 states, trauma from painful divorces, naysayers and fans angry they’re together, lack of privacy from constant media coverage and paparazzi following them, and adjusting to being a blended family-dealing with an ex and Blake learning to be a stepfather, working together frequently.
Whew!! I think they’ve already made it through the toughest part over 8 years. Their faith and friendship and respect for one another is strong. I think they will make it.

Extremely sceptical, Gwen is supposed to be a very spiritual person, I don't typically follow either except on The Voice so I'm not sure if it's true that she had to get special permission from her church to even marry Blake, if it is true, WOW! I guess love is truly blind, so Blake, straighten up bucko and I just hope his third time saying I do, is a charm especially for Gwens children's sake.

In the catholic church they are not allowed to divorce, so the divorce to be approved take ages. I believe she waited for that approval.

Both of Blake’s divorces were directly due to Miranda Lambert chasing married men. (and she kept it up even after the divorce). Blake learned a lot from that fiasco, and he’s wiser now. He said in 2/2020 interview, “ you think you know what love is, but I didn’t until Gwen came along.” Think he understands now that lust and love aren’t the same thing and has someone that shows him what mature love is in return. Gwen was with her cheating ex 20 years because of her faith and her sons. His affair with the kids’ nanny was the final straw. Blake can learn a lot from her.

She lives in small town Tishomingo Oklahoma on a ranch in the woods half the year. That’s more country than most of the singers that live in McMansions in Nashville which is a big city now. She also has 2 #1 country hits with Blake.

As a born and bred country gal, I'm still a fan of Blake's music but, honestly, I was so over them as a couple by about the third time I heard Gwen call him 'Blakie' on The Voice. IMO, that whole Blake and Gwen back and forth thing got a little nauseating. I watch that show for the contestants. If I wanted to see developing relationships, I'd watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette.

The ceremony included all of both of their extended families. They both are family oriented and wanted to include the boys. They’re smart enough to know that the marriage wasn’t just between the 2 of them, but was the joining of 2 families.
