Let me apply my psychology skills with you, after all it is legit, but I won’t charge you the going rate,because I think you are so fortunate to be soooo smart and you really do have this. When my two children were growing up I drove them to school where I actually taught school..but they drove me crazy in the back seat sparing with each other. So I was the drama queen and would loudly start saying ..thank you Lord for this beautiful day you have made, and oh my look at the beautiful blue skies, and the vibrant green of the trees. They would start to listen and then they both would say…we know what you are doing trying to psyche us out. We would all get tickled and start laughing. The moral of the story is that when we have pleasant and happy thoughts in our heads we don’t have room for negative things. You have to really concentrate on that and you WILL be the winner. I am so impressed by you and all you do. Let’s just remember This too shall pass. Keep on keeping on my dear friend!!!
Since its Summertime, why don't you try bbqs or cookouts with the neighbours? Everyone could contribute with a loaf of bread or salad etc. The kids will grab a burger and run off and play or explore, and the adults can sit and chat. It might be less stressful that way. 😊

That's part of it when you're self employed. That half of FICA and SS your employer would normally pay falls on you, on top of whatever income tax you owe. It's tough to save that money up. We can complain about it all we want, but we want the benefits when we need them and don't want to pay for them when we don't need them. The money has to come from somewhere, which is why things like unfunded tax cuts for the wealthy and the current income limits for SS contributions end up putting more pressure on the rest of us to foot all the guv'mint's bills. The whole system is tilted in favor of the wealthy.

I'm in Canada, Toronto. On disability. I get under $14 000.00 a year. I don't pay taxes. I survive because I share an apartment with a friend. We share rent, wifi, bills, groceries. It can be scary.

The current President has not hooked up even one house to fiber-optic internet yet, especially here in Arkansas. If or When those funds are finally distributed they will go to a few giant corporate internet providers in a few states who make big enough campaign donations. Its mostly just corporate welfare handouts that won't do much until 2 years from now when the spending starts to trickle down.
Our fiber-optic internet in Arkansas did get some federal grant help under Obama and Trump, but most of it was paid for with state and business cooperation. Yell County already had fiber-optic to 90+% of homes 7 years ago when I moved here, and that was mostly paid for by Tyson and other poultry producers in the county teaming up with the Arkansas Valley Electric CO-OP so they could connect all their farms and facilities.
@@BobbleheadHomestead Trump did nothing at all on infrastructure. He just promised to, and your GOV. made big deal about Biden's infrastructure plan paying for rural hookup. She tried to use the money elsewhere and was stopped. The news made it to Florida, I guess you didn't hear it in Arkansas. Go figure.

Is there a likelihood that you could do some videos with Fifi and Grumpy, or one or the other? I don't know about other people but I love cats and cat videos; there are so many imaginative ones on CZcams, some are hilarious. There are some that are a bit contrived and the cat himself is the "star" of his own video, with voiceovers, maybe. Anyhow, I do miss those cats! Being nearly 84 yrs I don't have pets of my own; I wouldn't want any pet left having to adjust to another owner when he outlives me.
Hopefully, you can soon get all of the loose ends tied up such as chicken flock needs, retrieving the last of your belongings from Peter's place, etc.
Please consider doing pet fostering for your local animal shelter.

FICA is your social security and Medicare.
I'm only 53. FICA is going to other people a lot better off than I am, it isn't mine.

They want you to believe that, but that is not how it works. They don't set aside my money and then give it back to me later. I will be colleting other workers' income in 2039 if they don't spend it all before then, which history strongly suggests will be the case. All FICA taxes paid in are distributed to the recipients almost immediately. We used to get surpluses every year but that is no longer the case, it is now cash in and cash out.
Because politicians spent the surplus on other stuff for decades, most experts now predict Social Security will become deficient in 2032, long before I am eligible. Unless major reforms are put in place to reduce benefits, institute means testing, raise the retirement age, increase the 15.3% tax rate, expand the tax base, or some combination of those and other reforms, people my age and younger have absolutely no legal guarantee we will be getting the same benefits offered now.
In fact, the law says benefits will automatically be reduced when FICA taxes no longer cover the demand for benefits. If nothing is done to reform Social Security people my age and younger will get pennies compared to what is offered now. When Social Security was implemented with a 1% tax rate, there were 15 workers for every 1 beneficiary, that ratio is now 3 workers for every recipient. That is obviously unsustainable and I don't expect voters to wake up before financial disasters start happening.
