- Seasons greetings to one and all. Trying to finish this video of a heuer Carrera with a very rare caliber 15 movement, but sadly I’m stuck for some unobtainable parts. So in the meantime here is a long version of the case lapping.
Also if you have been following me for a while, I hope I have earned some grace with you all to be able to use my platform to share my feelings on something that is important to me. Or else what is the point of having a voice and staying silent. I mention this as some people have told me to stick to watchmaking and stay out of politics. Watchmaking won’t follow me to my grave. The sad fact remains that in 1,000's of years of mankind, they have still not learned that war gains nothing but grief and heartache for the majority who do not want it. Lets hope that the suffering of the inocent around the world will end and we can all live in harmony. Great video once again, nice to see old things ruined by amateurs restored by professionals and saved from the scrap heap, looking forward to seeing the movement restored to as new, thanks for all your entertaining vlogs, keep up the good work.

I had a Heuer (not TAG) military chrono when I was in the Marine Corps in the '80's. I loved that watch. It was built like a tank. The OD green powder coat finish is the only thing that ever showed the abuse the watch took. Sadly, it was stolen from a hotel room. Keep up the beautiful work, Joe.

Nice to see this part of your work. I love vídeos that have you restoring cases and using the lapping machine. Very delicate work with a plus in difficulty: there's no "undo" if you take out too much material lapping, sanding or polishing.
Equal parts fascinating and thought provoking.

In April of 1983 when I was a young codriver, the same exact watch I have bought second hand with the first real money I’ve made from racing, got stolen from my hotel room. Sad sad day indeed, and our car broke down within sight of the finish line whilst we were finishing third, ended up thirteenth instead.
Peace and love to you and yours in this season of conflicts. I've always loved the work you do as well as your caring and loving commentary. Your omission of the thousands of innocents killed on Oct 7 was therefore quite a shock to me. I mourn the deaths of so many innocents on both sides.............

It’s a terrible situation all around. Let us not forget that this started as a deliberate surprise attack on Israel, and they have every right to defend themselves. Women and children were kidnapped. Babies were slaughtered - intentionally. Israel’s retaliation, whether you think it’s justified or not, has not involved kidnapping and intentional killing of children. It’s a horrible situation as we know, but Israel was not the ones posting videos on social media of torturing and killing children. There are 2 sides to every conflict. Your into was obviously just about one side, and one could argue that it takes truly evil individuals to intentionally kill women and children. Not the accidental, though still terrible, killing of them after they’ve been repeatedly warned to leave. Yes there’s a difference.

I love the old Heuer watches, so much character to them. Also, the few modern reissues without the stupid tag word on the dial, which is ridiculous now that they are owed by LV (Louis Vuitton).
