The World Maker Update to Mario Maker 2 added a ton of new power-ups like the Boomerang Flower, Super Acorn, P-Balloon, bosses such as the Koopalings, and even an entire World Maker! Mario Maker 2 Update 3.0 is the most content packed update to date; although Nintendo has called it the final major update. Hopefully it still remains one of the best games to buy for the Nintendo Switch!

I recently made a level with the Frog Suit that mimics Touhou-like Bullet Hells by making it a 60 seconds survival trial, you have to dodge proyectiles from a giant Ludwig and winged Spinys in order to get a key and reach the goal, without getting damaged
What’s odd is that even though Frog Mario is 2 blocks tall, Balloon Mario is 1 block tall. What kind of reverse logic is that?

I'm really, really glad this suit came to SMM2. I felt that it was underrated overall as most people saw how slow Frog Mario is on land. This along with the Koopalings were two of the things I really wanted in this game, and I still can't believe this update added them all.

Had us in the first half, not gonna lie.
First time I can remember one of my own levels being featured in one of your breakdowns, namely at 5:10 and 7:41. I can definitely say from my own experience that I feel like tight corridors with the frog suit are not good so more open areas are appreciated. Dodging some more spaced out jelectros or cheep cheep is super fun. Also, I learned that slopes and the frog above ground are an awkward combination. I don't know why but frog Mario's sliding feels delayed.
Would be great if we could have the ID of the levels showcased in the video somewhere in the description. Otherwise great breakdown. Loved it!
I've definitely been trying to work out a system for this as I'd really like that to be an option. Some way to see the level IDs should be coming within the next few weeks!

I feel like I’m learning so much new and interesting vocabulary with all of the alliterations used throughout the video, and I’m also learning about how I should be using some items that I haven’t been too confident in using for my levels. You can also use the frog suit for improving the ambience of a forest-y level, it'll help give a sense of life.
The frog suit is somehow the worst and best power up at the same time and I don’t know if I love it or hate it.
Please show off the sounds it makes for when it bounces off of a Note Block. I know you show the sound, but it may be tough to hear it, perhaps you can show a quick scale of all of the note pitches? (idk if their is a different sound for all items or pitch, or if their is a different one at all at night or just in general... I'm dumb XD) it would increase more for you on your video, it lets music level creators get ideas, and it's satisfying! I'm not a music level creator myself, but it would be cool just to hear it since I'm curious. Please and thank you? P.S. Maybe more types of level ideas? If available with it? Or uncommon level types? Idk why but I just randomly thought of precision levels with it or maybe multiplayer 1-4 (depends on the type) levels if it has a choice and potential? Idk lol.

I feel like the Frog Suit could be a reward or special item for ice levels, considering its ice stability, mixed with watery sub levels, while using the Fire Flower as the main thing like you said in the Traditional explanation
Coincidentally, having the Mother 3 Lucas outfit on, touching the frog suit just saves your game.

You’re completely right about now frog suits should be used as secret power ups in traditional water stages. That’s how it was in the original SMB3. You could only find frog suits in secret underground areas or in Toad houses. You couldn’t find them out in the open like fire flowers or super leaves.

5:44 Here’s another dark idea for what the frog suit might be. What if the frog suit is an actual frog but is able to possess Mario whenever he touches it (Or when it touches Mario)? And so frog Mario is just Mario who is being possessed by a frog parasite thing.

I loved them in mario 64, and am super glad they are back, but fighting them above lava, guiding them to break walls and using them to jump on over a floor of spikes aside, I can't really think of many creative ways to use them

Alright, how about the dam from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the first half, then Terra Tunnels from Battletoads for the second half... but modified to be intuitive and fun with the Frog Suit? Now I'm struggling to think of a proper boss fight involving full or partial water.

Jokes aside, that sounds like an interesting idea. As for the boss fight goes, the Frog Suit lends itself pretty well to "bullet-hell" situations. If that's not your taste though, one of my favorite levels I played while making this video had a decent, albeit simple boss fight at the end. *BRY-WDF-2WF*

As for the boss fight, I was trying to think of cool underwater boss fights from other games, then trying to interpret them for SMB3 underwater with the Frog Suit. My mind is only pulling up the giant fish boss fights from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening...

This powerup straight up made Night Castle levels viable in normal play, just like that. Goes to show how much a water-based powerup can change things.
