I have only visited England twice in my life but it was enough to experience that hilarious British sense of humor. You two gentlemen are wonderful ambassadors for your country.
Hehe! Thank you!
You two should have a TV series! Well produced, engaging and informative content with just the right amount of laughter and fun. Thanks for your efforts
Always a pleasure.
He may be barmy as a box of frogs, but Otis is growing up to be a beautiful dog.
Brilliant as ever now I'm going out with my PAC a Mac get my caramac to have s snack
Mmmm... Caramacapacamac! 🤤
Omg! “Translate to English” popped up under Foxes Afloat reply 🤣
Lost my 14 year old Lab two weeks ago. I’m loving some Otis.🥰
Sorry to hear that 💜
Your bloopers at the end are still my favorite part. I don't know how you find the time to do the research and prepare for these each week but I am sure glad you do. Take care of yourselves guys. Have a great week.
Thank you so much, Karen. You take care too xx
You Tube's algorithm just directed me to this channel yesterday (22 May).
I have now binge-watched at least 20 of the episodes.
Love the history and how the two of you get along.
WOW welcome to our channel, Andrea. Glad you enjoying our video’s ❤️❤️🐾
Hi guys, just read your article in May’s WW. To all trolls” may your next poop be a hedgehog”. Keep up the great works lads! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you!
Colin: "fluffly"
Translation: "fluffy, lovely"
Oxford English Dictionary: please add this to the next edition!
👍🏻🤣
So funny that I, a 73 year old land locked Pennsylvania lady, am hooked on your narrow boat vlogs. It’s the wonderful content and the lovely guys including Otis. Ta
Thank you so much, glad you're enjoying what we do xxx
Must be Friday morning: feeling a lot calmer after spending some time cruising with a couple of my canal favourites.
Have a great day!
Hi guys you are such a breath of fresh air you really do cheer me up, plus its like having a history lesson with all of your knowledge well done you two
Nice one. Thanks, Charlotte!
Ah 'mere... there I was, brain fried, feeling very miserable and barely able to focus on blog, and then...paw, pause and the beat drops. Huge smile, bopping along and the Foxes have done it again. Bless ye xxx.
Aww, thank you!
Nearly up to date, but your vlogs are great to watch over again because there is so much in them, and you guys are fun to watch.
Awesome! Thank you!
I get giggles watching the outtakes, and it just serves to emphasise what a level of professionalism you achieve with the finished video. I really look forward to Friday night Foxes night. And I learned about salt... I never knew that! Thank you guys.
You're welcome, Chris. Thank you xxx
Love seeing Otis. He's more handsome each week x Yet again so much interesting information and beautiful filming. Thanks Guys.
Thanks, Jacqueline 💜
Just love the soundtrack again this time! Otis looks so happy as he watches the world go by, such a great life he has. Thanks so much for bringing us into your world 💕
Otis is loving boat life xx
This Vlog is an absolute piece of art. The camera work shows off the beautiful country side and your creativity. I love it when you are having a great time and we can laugh with you. Wibbly wobbly!
Thank you so much 😀
The outtakes let the viewers have a glimpse in to how much work you put in to each episode.
Thanks again guys!
Our pleasure 👍🏻
You can tell it's a Friday when Foxes Afloat post another video!
Winsford harbours some good and bad memories for me. I have a friend who lives there. But there's also someone who isn't my friend anymore who lives there. She used to go out with my best mate until they broke up. I did walk alongside the Weaver before the friendship terminated. I thought it was very pretty.
Thanks for more interesting information. I believe the old pub that you were moored next to that has since closed down was called The Red Lion. I did have a drink in there. It was rather pleasant!!!
It looked rather sad when we moored there.
Saturday morning here in Christchurch New Zealand, got my coffee and sitting down to watch my weekly fix of you two. Brilliant
Excellent. Have a fab weekend xx
Can't get that image out of my head of that bird having a crap on the viaduct and the sound effect that you put into it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I LOVED that! Made me howl with laughter.....Had to scroll back and watch it again about 3 times..... Childlike sense of humour, me and I make no apologies for it! 😂😂
OMG cormorant poo 💩 howling another very enjoyable episode 😄 xx Otis was very excited !!!🤗
🤣
11:02...another perfectly synced music/video moment. I don't actually LOOK for thes but Colin has gotten so good at this, I can't help noticing. And can I just say: Otis!! 😍 What a little love.
(Honorable mention at 12:40 😂)
Thank you!
Keep the videos going , love them
Thanks, Stephen!
Brilliant. Once again some really interesting History and facts. Thanks very much. Take care. Nick
You're welcome, Nick. You take care too xx
As a former railway signalman of 23 yrs those signals look the world like railway semiphore signals. Have never seen them on the canals before. Great video guys and as ever beautifully filmed.👍
First time we’ve seen them on a canal or river too x
This really brought back memories of my childhood on the boat we lived on then. We were moored at Burscough so I could go to school but holidays were spent cruising local canals. Winsford Flash was a popular destination for us and Northwich was where we shopped etc. So many years ago...nearly seventy in fact!
cant beleve otis is already 1 feels like yesterday you got him happy birthday otis
It does!
Thanks for another great video guys. Your country is so impressive and beautiful. Stay safe fellas greetings from Australia 🇦🇺👍
Thank you, Craig. Have a great weekend xx

Excellent, very interesting, amazingly entertaining, and very funny, have you thought of compiling a book, it would be so interesting especially all the lovely pictures, put me on your list for a signed copy, thank you you've made my day.✨🌟 Nicola x
That's a great idea!
Otis has the most soulful eyes. He steals the show.
He really does! 🥰
I feel so blessed, I get to watch a fabulous knowledgeable video with to lovely guys a beautiful little doggie and then the outtakes. What’s not to love. I have to admit I did spit my coffee out in laughter with the bird poo/fart scene 😂😂😂😂 stay safe darling. ❤️
Hehe. Made me chuckle while editing it 🤣
OTIS! My what a handsome lad he's become! And . . . I have to agree with Rita, such fun traveling around England with you both. XOXOXO
Thank you, Carrie xxx
You two lads just keep getting even better. Thanks for this. Smooth
Much appreciated!
Hi guys just recently found your vlogs and they are brilliant. Starting from the first one and working my way through them. Its great coming in from maybe a busy day at work and losing myself in your ventures..as we say in Glasgow, Pure Dead Brilliant .
Thank you so much, welcome to the madness xxx
I dont know which impresses me most, the quality of the video with such unusual camera angles or the narration with so much information, all i know is i look forward to this every friday and am never disappointed, huge well done guys x
Aww, thanks, Pat! 👍🏻
I still felt the studs from the New Bridge bridge scraping over my head when another bridge hit me straight in the face! Stop doing that! 😅👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Interesting section. Good photography. Otis is wonderful.
Many thanks!
Just found your channel and finally something relaxing and fun to watch after a busy day at work. Thanks for the humour and stories!
You're welcome, Rob. welcome to our channel xx
Happy birthday to the wee man Otis (20th) "Shoot the strikers down like grouse" Nice. The good old days eh? ....as long as you were rich. ...and people still love stuff like Downton Abbey. Beats me. Cheers guys. Great video as usual.
Glad you enjoyed it, Mark xx
Hey you two
Also Otis. Hope you had a fun packed 1st birthday 🥳 🎂 yesterday.
Great video, liking the viaduct too
Do love a caramac. Yummy 😋
Have a great few days at the marina
Take care, stay safe
Love Kim x x
Mmmmm... Caramac! 🤤
Love watching you both. I used to fish on the weaver with my dad many moons ago
Nice one!
Thank you both for all the time and energy you put into the CZcams videos. Looks like fun discovering as you go ❤️

Colin and Shaun once again producing a wonderful video, its informative, well recorded and edited plus you both are having so much fun. Thankyou so much
Our pleasure, Allan 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
OTIS is getting cuter !! Bless him, he’s so precious 🐶.
He may be good looking, but he's a terrible teenager x
@@FoxesAfloat 😆 I understand, we're in the same "boat" our French bulldog is 6 mos old. She's cute, but can be a blister! We couldn't be without them, right?
Another great chuckle fest boys. Especially the outtakes. Stay safe and take care.
Thanks, you too!
Thank you guys. I allways save your video for a relaxing start in the Saturday, watching your video while my first coffee.
Glad we can start your Saturday x
Thanks for the info on the salt mines, I always wondered how they worked.
I had a cagoule, a bright orange Peter Storm one with matching trousers. 🤣
Have a good weekend. X
Very cool!
@@FoxesAfloat I seem to remember that when you took them off you were as wet as if you hadn’t worn them thanks to the condensation. 🤪
On an entirely different subject, if you like Caramac, try the new MilkyBar Gold!
Watching this a week after coming back off of our first narrowboat holiday, sailed from calcutt Boats past Braunston (we went to Braunston) through the tunnel then took a left up the Leicester line, staying two night in Welford, saving a lamb that had fallen into the canal and up to the top of Foxton lock before we made our way back to the yard for the weeks end, fell in love with it and will definitely be going again
Awesome xx
Enjoyed the change in perspective with Colin at the front, and beautiful blue sky with puffy clouds above his head. Would like to occasionally see more views like that, when it suits. Well done, lads.
Who you calling a puffy cloud? 🤣
Thank you. As usual a great video with interesting history. Have a pleasant visit.
Glad you liked it ❤️
Must say I enjoyed that a great deal! Wonderful to sit back and watch you chaps travel after a week on the road ourselves to the northernmost reaches of Michigan in our big coach. Best wishes from Birch Run, Michigan!
Our pleasure!
Haven’t even watched this yet but my day just got better!
Nice one!
You added some interesting new camera angles for this video; well done! This is what sets your channel above the other narrowboat channels - excellent production values - obvious extreme effort put into excellence.
Awesome, thank you!
pure class as always gents stay safe
Thank you, Mick. You stay safe too x
You guys know how to cheer me up. I can really see myself living on a narrow boat, but there are no canals in Sweden, well technically there is one and it would be boring going up and down there. I wish you a lovely week.
But you do have beautiful Fjords xxx
Loved the video, especially the swans, herons, and handsome Otis.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Must be Friday at 10am. New vlog by my boys on Silver Fox! TRAIN!. Ok Colin what the heck is a gagoul(sp)? Besides a fun word to say. Remember I'm just a bloke that's lived 57 years out of 57 in the states. Till next week at 10, fellas.
hehe It's a very lightweight raincoat that would fit in your pocket.
Great journey as always!! I would love too come n cruise the canals for a nice relaxing time!! Keep up the awesome travels n great history!
You should!
@@FoxesAfloat would be great, for sure a goal in life! Right now just living n raising the family! The wife, 3 kids n myself! Plus our 4 crazy pets, busy enough day to day.
Great vlog again you are both so lovely. You bring a smile to my face . Thank you xx
😊 thank you
I can never get over how much interesting stuff you guys keep digging up for us. Salt of the earth, you blokes. Ta muchly again for a great video.
Awwww thank you ❤️
Very special guys you two are! I am SO enjoying your adventures! Bless you both❤️
Thanks so much!
Beautiful scenery. Very interesting about the salt mines. Salt of the earth...
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Colin your historical facts are just amazing. Love it. Not to mention the amazing videos and banter. You two are just fabulous 👍🏻
Thanks so much
Oh golly another brilliant lot of filmography 😃👍👏🌟. The colour, clarity and shots so lovely. And info, fascinating, you work so hard. Thank you. Joan. And the take outs , just show how much work you do put into it all 😆🌟🌟
Thank you so much 😀
Loved it! Visually stunning and always such great and interesting history. Hugs to Otis.
Thanks, Lindsay!
I don't know where you source your music cues from but that cello and piano piece at 2:25 is really lovely. You guys do a great job on production of these vlogs. As a former advertising music supervisor I know how much work this is.
Thank you, we list and give links to the music we use in our video description xx
As usual I find myself smiling all the way through your videos, really pleasant viewing. Love the humor too.
Happy to make you smile xx
A mahooooosive shout-out to say: great vlog boys! Cheers!! 💗
Thanks Tom!
Loved this video, very informative! I look forward every week to your videos. Thank you for all of your hard work. All the very best to you guys!
Thanks so much!
The Cheshire wich's are where salt was mined centuries ago the BBC did a programme in the 80s about the Cheshire salt mines
👍
Once again, I’ve received my weekly dose of history, English countryside scenery and colloquial expressions. All rolled up neatly into one convenient 18.5 minute package.
Thank you gentlemen, especially Otis (the handsomest of the lot.)
Our pleasure, Glenn 👍🏻
Hello! Just love the energy you put into these vlogs.. great as ever. Fantastic cameos from Otis too! 🐾🐾💓.
Otis always steals the show 🤣
That pooping Cormorant made me laugh 🤣🤣🤣
🤣
Brilliant as usual
Thank you!
We appreciate all your hard work that goes into each video! Each ones packed with info! Superb!!
Cheers guys ❤️❤️🐾
Hello there gents. Your intro has a certain finesse that is delightful, which of course you do so well, but especially delicious today. Just what I needed. Thank you, until next time...
Thank you so much, Shirley. See you next week xxx
You guys make The Best Narrow boat videos
Aww, thank you!
Now I know the true meaning of "thank God its Friday", it because its silver fox new vlog day 🦊👍
It's TFIF Thank Foxy It's Friday 🤣🤣
I always enjoy: the banter, the scenery, the things I learn! Great videos! 👍👍😁
Thanks!
Another great episode this week, always a feast for the eyes and ears...Shaft...
Shaft 🤣
Thumbs Up, always from me.
Awesome 👍👍👍👍
Another fab show
Thank you so much!
Just have to say, that I really enjoy the vlog. If there was an award show for best CZcams Channels, you would win the best cinematography, editing, content, and actors! Seriously, this is the best channel I watch. Oh, and the best channel for fun new words to learn!
Wow, thank you!
Great one guys. Take care, stay safe and well. Regards Derek.
Cheers, Derek 👍🏻
Some truly excellent cinematography on this one - the editing must take some time! Loved it!
Thanks for noticing 👍🏻
I ducked when you went under that bridge 😆
Me too! I actually shouted "DUCK!!" 😂
🤣
Wow, you guys have superb sound mixing and music choices! Absolutely worth whatever you guys are paying for access to Artlist and Epidemic!
Thank you, Heath x
Television is staying off.
This is far more entertaining and informative.
Great history lesson.
Thanks Gary!
The sound effect on bird made me pee my pants I laughed so hard.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
So only now did Shaun realize that Colin is not normal. If Colin was normal we wouldn't have these wonderful videos!
Absolutely xx
Herein lies the problem. Colin IS normal. It's the rest of us that are in the outfield! Shaun is just missing a wicket occasionally... Especially when Colin gives him the giggles. (That is very contagious too!)
I know when I watch your videos I will learn something new and fascinating. Appreciate the quality of the content.
Cheers Jeremy!
Always wondered where that chainsaw guy went when he left here. Now I know!! BTW, Happy Birthday Otis from deep in the spooky Pineywoods of East Texas!!
Thank you!
OK, the bird squirt made this old ladies day lol
🤣
Just recently found your channel and i love it!
Thank you!
Another great vlog guys........loving hearing about all the history of the area you are passing through told in your beautiful humour way..........stay safe.........thanks for sharing
Thank you, you stay safe too. Have a great weekend xx
My weekly guilty sin-long may you continue. Otis needs more airtime he’s a chip off the old block and wants a bigger slice of the action boys.
I hope you realize that you had me ducking every time you went under a bridge. You guys, and Otis, are great. Thank you so much.
🤣
