The problem is you are on their screen and they dont see you as “real” , so they are entitled to whatever access they want. They also think because they are “fans” they own you.

Thank you for the tour lads it looks lovely. I am now in a state of shock though. All that work stripping wood chip ( awful and such hard work) putting up lining paper,painting, titling , remodelling the bathroom, floors, putting in new heating and water systems, shopping choosing and putting together furniture for a whole house whilst.... Building a massive chicken home, a home for Sherlock, being dog dads, learning and producing all that honey and caring for Bees. Not to mention making fantastic videos every week and the radio stuff. In two years !!! My mind has exploded and I am going to lie down in a darkened room. You two are the best x

You guys have done an amazing job. Wood chip is a proper nightmare. Insulating is obviously important where you live. A great job I love it fantastic brilliant 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Just a wee hint re your wood burner. It will never go dirty if you only clean the glass when the stove is completely cold.
Dip a damp cloth into the ash of your stove. Not the gritty bits ,never use coal, that will ruin everything, just the pure ash.
It will remove any dirt with just a bit of elbow grease. We’ve had ours for 5-6 years and it still looks as good as new. Good luck.

When my husband and I got married we bought our home straight away, which we still live in today. For our furniture my mum gave us a futon for a bed so we would have something to sleep on, plus I had a small television so we could watch the telly while sitting on the futon. We had a metal folding table (card table) for a table so we could eat our meals on and we bought 2 metal folding chairs so that we could have something to sit on while we ate. We absolutely had nothing in the house for months until eventually we started buying things for our lovely home. It was quite an adventure for us being newly married but as time grew on our house was complete. An till this day we love what we had built from nothing. Your home is lovely, perfect place in the Highlands to have a beautiful little cottage. Love it! 💗 Take care Shaun & Colin 💛

That's called STUCCO. What you guys call "wood chip wall paoer" is actually called STUCCO or POPCORN Ceiling in U.S.A..
It is a NIGHTMARE to get rid of. I'm happy you guy's were able to get rid of it.

Totally get your pains from dealing with woodchip wallpaper, when we moved into this house it was covered in the stuff, 3 bedrooms, dining room, hall, stairs and landing!! Horrible stuff!! You have made your house a home, well done lads, you’ve done fantastically well.

My late husband used to turn fire places to stoves..much as you did except he backed the stove with laid blue stone and the base was blue stone..this was his winter employment and summer he built stone patios, picnic tables, walkways and walls all of blue stone for artists, lawyers and doctors. He would have loved working and teaching you at the croft. He made some great friends while making a good living ..funny after he started doing that he no longer lifted weights at a gym..lol....

I look at your narrowboat experience as an extended vacation. I learned so much from watching your videos, incredible history! However, as my wife and I are now retired and living in our home, two major advantages... we can go outside in our yard at our leisure, and most importantly, after 47 years, we need the "space" to be apart from each other, while in our home.
Love the way you have set things up, including the yard and animals.

Hi guys..... the horror I always recall with ceilings and sometimes walls was Artex.. in the States they call it popcorn ceilings I believe. Looked great when first done but then trapped dirt and was a devil to clean or repaint or remove...

Here in the States, we call the woodchip walls "Popcorn". Sometimes found on ceilings. It's a charming house and you are a charming couple. I told you my idea about the "marine" stove for the new boat. From a company called "Webesco". Cool stove, that stainless steel look.

Married 1969. Both working but no savings. First house outside toilet 4 stories up in a Glasgow tenement. Hammered nails in wall to hang up clothes. No furniture. Hardly any kitchen utensils. My dear father in law gave us two black and white tvs one with sound one with pictures. We were given a bed. One blanket two sheets and bedspread. Happy days!
