I wish I could go on the trova trip with you. I'm in my early 40s with kids now and never traveled abroad when I was younger, thinking I would have time later in life. I regret that now, and if there's anyone out there in their 20s who are on the fence, just do it. It's hard doing these things when you get older and have more responsibilities.
You have to have to have the money to do it.
Currently obsessed with your videos! Thank you for being such a comforting and joyful presence on CZcams ⭐️
You’ve also inspired me to start picking up thrillers and I am so excited about this new reading journey!
That is so sweet thank you so much!! ❤❤❤ I really appreciate it!! 🥹
Full cast audio books make me so happy
You're 15 videos away from 1,000 uploads. Any big plans for video 1,000?
Hmm I’m not sure yet! 🤔
Your review of “The Women” is 1000% spot on. I totally agree with every single thing you said. Perfect description.
I love your videos!!! You get me so excited about books and reading. I definitely want to check out Savor It. It’s on my TBR! I read 9 books in May and my favorites were One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Do Not Disturb by Freida McFadden & The Wedding Proposal by John Swansiger.
Ahh I was so excited for Here We Go Again but miscommunication tropes really ruin books for me! So sad you didn't love it, I'm gonna lower my expectations before I read it! The Gathering sounds like it such an interesting premise, I also love the cover ❤
Thanks for sharing your wrap up! I read One by One by Frieda McFadden. I gave it three stars. I was hoping to like it more because it has a favorite trope of mine. But the motive for why the person was doing what the they were doing was so ridiculous.
omg i'm SO GLAD you loved My Husband! (lol at that sentence out of context)
🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha 😂😂😂
😮😮😮😂😂😂
Good choice dnf - ing Circe. Wish I had. It doesn't get better.
Ah Gaby! I'm from Baja California! Sad that you didn't find the book that interesting, but now you know Baja exists, so that's a win!
I was surprised by how much I loved The Heiress. I agree, it's a favorite from her. I just loved the vibe. The Women was good but doesn't compare to The Nightingale for me.
Diavola OMFG !!!! 5 stars ! The meeting scene is iconic, leaving rent free in my mind 😂
Some of the thrillers you listed are ones I've never heard of before. I'll definitely have to add them to my list 👀
omg the paradise problem im so ready for it and i love that it was dedicated to TS and BTS
Hopefully one day I’ll be able to go on a trip with everyone!☺️
As an Italian, I just have to tell you it's pronounced Dee-AH-vuh-la, emphasis on the A. I'm so excited to see that you gave it five stars. I have it up for Summerween!
I think Diavola was a 4 star for me. I was having such a good time but the ending fell pretty flat for me. I can’t wait to discuss with everyone!!
Cherry Nagic japanese TV is incredibly cute and endearing, would 100% recommend.
I hate road trip books but something about here we go again was so good. I was sobbing so hard omg.
Omg I DNFed the Here We Go Again, despite LOVING her other two books. I could do the… chosen mouth shape comparison 😂
Great wrap up 📚🧋
My fave was probably my love mix up vol 2. I read 34 things with a graphic novel Girl from the sea a ff ya, 2 volumes of sweat and soap then 14 novellas and 16 novels.
Here's what I read
The green mile by Stephen king
A very private school by Charles Spencer memoir
How to end a love story by yulin kaung
It happened one summer by tessa bailey
Interview with the vampire by Anne rice
City of fire by don Winslow
Steelstriker by marie lu
Murtagh by Christopher paolini
I also read The Women in May! Totally agree with not connecting to Frankie as a character, and being frustrated with a lot of her decisions. I did end up really enjoying the book overall and gave it 4.5 stars, but it’s probably my least favorite Kristin Hannah book so far because the others have been 5 stars, haha. I read 7 books total and my favorites were Funny Story and The Familiar! 😍
If any of you have no intention of reading the women (like me) please go watch Gabby’s spoiler vlog!! It was so good and I felt like I read it 😂
Haha I appreciate you 🥹🫶🏻
My Husband was fantastic! I also read it because of Jan 😅
Great TBR! ☀️
May was so busy I didn’t get to read that much. But I’m currently reading savor it and holy shit I’m obsessed!!
Ahhh it’s so good!!! 😍😍😍
Since you were kind enough to ask... my favorite book I read in May was A Song for A New Day by Sarah Pinsker. 20/10. Perfection. I don't normally respond with personal comments like this but I'm trying to evangelize my love for this book far and wide.
Loved Diavola!
Really like Diavola , 4 stars for me. May have missed your announcement but what is your June book club pick? Want to make sure I pick that up as well
The June pick is Listen For the Lie!! 🥰
Omg I was also so disappointed with The Daydreams, I was expecting it to be sooo juicy with the concept, but literally nothing happened... Other people have liked it so I'm glad it wasn't just me 🤣
I had a great reading month I read about 13 books 7 of them where Mangas and I had a few favortie reads I had few books that where just ok for mi heres wah read n few of my thoughts on some of them
1. Flawless by elsie silver
2. Promise Neverland vol 20
3. Heartless by elsie silver
4. Daisy haites the great undoing by jessa hastings
5. The women by Kristin Hannah this book was a 5 star read for mi like this was such a heavy read n heartbreaking n made mi sob at least 3 times loved this one
6. Powerless by elsie silver
7. Reckless by elsie silver
8. Four winds in by Kristin Hannah I absolutely I liked this but not as much as the women I still enjoyed it and I wasn't expecting the ending of this book that was sad and heartbreaking to read
9. Temper by Layne Fargo this book was ok it's supposed be a Psychological thriller but I felt it didn't even have thoes vibes at all and it just felt ok it was like it was trying to be if we were villains and the slient patient had kid n came up with that 😂
10. The family remains by Lisa jewell this books was so good I loved this one the thriller vibes where so good n I want expecting to love it as much as I did
11. Happiness volumes one to five im obsessed with this manga series
12. Sadako manga this one was ok it was cute
13. Two nights in Lisbon by Chris pavone the first I would say 50% of this book was good I just felt like there so many gaps of questions I had and it took almost to near the end for the reavel to happen and big twist was ok like could have been better n the main character she annyoed the hell out of mi most of the book and it was ok if u havnt read this I would love ur thoughts on it bc this one drove mi nuts 😂😂
So that's all the books I read in the month of may
I recently came across a book called Beautyland by Marie Helene Bertino. An alien born as a human baby (i think so 😅) and its about her observations and ruminations on humanity. Immediately thought of you! You might like it!
You’re not the only one who felt that way about Here We Go Again; I DNF’d it 40% through.
Just finished the heiress I liked it
I wasn't a fan of Circe, but liked Song of Achilles! Not usually a huge Greek Mythology person either so ...
I loved CIRCE!!!!!
Do you think you’ll read some of Tarah’s backlist now that you have Savor It 5 stars?
I’ve never read Rachel Hawkins but I want to! Which one would you recommend to start with?
I think The Heiress might be her best! The Wife Upstairs or Reckless Girls would also be fun to start with probably! ❤
I read 16 books in May. My favorites/recos = The Vacancy in Room 10, The Marriage Sabbatical, How to Read a Book, Real Americans & What happened to Nina?
Who's the author of How to Read a book? Thanks!
@@rainyfincher4293 Monica Wood is the author
