Fascinating Validation Of Sushruta Samhita | Nilesh Oak |

  • In the late 18th century a British Magazine called the Gentleman’s Magazine carried a fascinating piece of information regarding an Indian bullock cart driver named Cowasjee who had his nose cut off during a war. The magazine reported that Cowasjee had a surgery performed to restore his nose in the streets of Pune, Maharashtra at the hands of a potter. The magazine went on to define the process which the potter used to perform today’s equivalent of a rhinoplasty using the Indian Flap method.
This generated a lot of interest in Britain, as the British had been unsuccessful in performing similar surgeries in the past. A British surgeon named J. C Capure was one of the firsts to perform rhinoplastic surgery, based on the Indian flap method, in Britain, which was subsequently taken up by other European medicine men. Carpue even had the Indian method validated by British officers in India, who confirmed that this method had been commonly practiced in India since ancient times.
Almost a century later, in 1890 A.D. the accidental discovery of an ancient manuscript written in the Gupta-Brahmi script by Hamilton Bower revealed an ancient study on the Indian Medicinal System citing the names of many Indian Rishis whose works on Indian Medicine are still extant.
One of the Rishis cited in the Bower Manuscript was Sushruta, who is widely known for his treatise called the Sushruta Samhita, one of the most important ancient Indian treatises on medicine. Rudolf Hoernle, a British-German Indologist, translated the entire Sushruta Samhita into English. Hoernle erroneously dated it around 500 CE based on an assumption that since Sushruta Samhita finds mention in the Shatapatha Brahmana, and since Shatapatha Brahmana was commonly accepted to have been composed in the 6th century BCE, Sushruta Samhita too must have been composed in the 6th century BCE.
In this Sangam Talk, noted author, researcher and Indologist, Nilesh Nilkanth Oak calls out this unfounded dating of Sushruta Samhita by British researchers and presents his original research along with his teammate Sanket Kulkarni, wherein he points to a much more authentic and older date for the treatise and an even older date for Rishi Sushruta. Examining multiple internal and external evidences like astronomical data points from Sushruta Samhita itself, authentic dating of the Shatapatha Brahmana, and genealogical references from the triangulation of evidences from Sushruta Samhita, Garuda Purana and the Anushasana Parva of the Mahabharata, Nilesh Oak and Sanket Kulkarni methodically establish that the Sushruta Samhita existed for sure around 3000 BCE and Rishi Sushruta existed for sure in or before 6000 BCE.
Please watch this riveting Sangam Talk to understand how ancient Indian Medicinal Knowledge, like most other ancient Indian Knowledge, was undermined by the British, and how vital it is for Indians to claim their rightful, authentic place in science, medicine, history, arts, spirituality and many other domains in the present times.
    About The Speaker:-
Nilesh Nilkanth Oak, is the author of "When did the Mahabharata War Happen?", "The Mystery of Arundhati", where he freshly evaluated astronomy observations of Mahabharata text. His work led to validation of 5561 BCE as the year of Mahabharata War while falsifying more than 120 alternate claims. The book was nominated for the Lakatos award; the award is given annually by London School of Economics for a contribution to the philosophy of science. In this second book- "The Historic Rama", he decisively falsifies timelines proposed by Dr. P V Vartak (7300 BCE), Shri Pushkar Bhatnagar (5200 BCE), SRS ( 10000 BCE) and M R Yardi ( 1500 BCE) Nilesh researches in astronomy, archeology, anthropology, quantum mechanics, economics, ancient narratives and philosophy.

Ayurveda was when knew nothing about Human anatomy, Virus or bacteria, chemical reactions leave alone bio chemistry. So science behind it is mainly shooting in dark and highly questionable. Same is the case with all other medicines.
There is only one medicine which cures disease. Rest is speculation, wishful thinking, placebo effect, supplementary thing. Ayurveda can never replace allopathy because it can never replace any of the treatment that modern science has developed for simple reason ,that knowledge (and hence treatment) did not exist at the time. This is not just for Ayurveda but true for any other older practices namely accupuncture and accupressure, homeopathy, yunani medicine,
blood letting (Romans used it for thousands of years and was standard way to treat people in rome, First president of US was treated with this method and died because of it).
Evidence based medicine along with penicillin and clorination of drinking waters has helped increased average (not maximum which is seen around 100 years) human life span from around 35 years to 75-80 years now (atleast in developed nations Japan leading there).
If Ayurveda is so great why do not ayurvedic companies take patents and sell their products all over the world? Answer: because they can not . Science did not exist at that time and things cannot be proved with precision required in modern drug development plus we simply do not have replacements.
Most ayurvedic drugs in US :are sold as suppliments main ly in Indian stores or stores which sell herbal products not in drug store. You will never find them in any main stream drug store.
In US supplement industry is not regulated , you can sell any thing and make any claim, let market decide demand...many crappy products sell like that eg body building products which do more harm than good. Few years ago US FDA asked to withdraw some chyavanprash products from market due to high level of metals in it unsuitable for human consumption.
Do we regulate ayurvedic products in India any way? Should not we?
Most practitioners of Ayurved in India: Give treatment for primary illness, fever, cough ..use general allopathic medicine in disguise and the refer people to specialists. Or they will do pure chicanery like "Get the baby of desired sex" etc (50 % of the times you will be right, and that will generate enough referals to make you known, rest 50% wont open their mouth).
Same is true for other thing: Offer something to people who do not have any other option (people allopathy being actual science have said we donot have much treatment about). People will try any thing in desperation, plus being natural is considered harmless. Think: is everything natural really good or harmless? By that standard even poison is natural and we should stop cooking food.
People say ayurvedic medicine do not have side effects , well for a reason we have not studied their side effects yet.
Read Book: 1. Trick or Treatment by Simon Singh 2. Do you believe in magic for more information. Both available on amazon.in and kindle.
Spread knowledge it saves lives and helps people make right decision.

Hindus' Gayatri Mantra produced 110,000 sound waves /second.
This was the highest and was found to be the most powerful hymn in the world.
Through the combination of sound or sound waves of a particular frequency,
this Mantra is claimed to be capable of developing specific spiritual potentialities.
The Hamburg University initiated research into the efficacy of the Gayatri Mantra
both on the mental and physical plane of CREATION.
The GAYATRI MANTRA is broadcast daily for 15 minutes from 7 P.M. over
Radio Paramaribo, Suriname, South America, for the past two years.
In Amsterdam, Holland, for the last six months.
"Om Bhoor Bhuwah Swah, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi,
    Dhiyo Yo Nah Pra-chodayaat"
    It's meaning:
God is dear to me like my own breath, He is the dispeller of my pains, and giver of happiness.I meditate on the supremely adorable Light of the Divine Creator, that it may inspire my thought and understanding."

His Mother sat down next to him and smiled, "I know about Darwin, Vasu. "But Have you heard of Dashavatar? The ten avatars of Vishnu?"
    Vasu replied in no.
"Then let me tell you what you and Mr. Darwin don't know.
    Listen carefully-
The first avatar was the Matsya avatar, it means the fish. That is because life began in the water. Is that not right?" Vasu began to listen with a little more attention.
"Then came the Kurma Avatar, which means the tortoise, because life moved from the water to the land. The amphibian. So the Tortoise denoted the evolution from sea to land.
Third was the Varaha, the wild boar, which meant the wild animals with not much intellect, you call them the Dinosaurs, correct? " Vasu nodded wide eyed.
"The fourth avatar was the Narasimha avatar, half man and half animal, the evolution from wild animals to intelligent beings.
Fifth the Waman avatar, the midget or dwarf, who could grow really tall. Do you know why that is? Cause there were two kinds of humans, Homo Erectus and the Homo Sapiens and Homo Sapiens won that battle." Vasu could see that his Mother was in full flow and he was stupefied.
"The Sixth avatar was Parshuram, the man who wielded the axe, the man who was a cave and forest dweller. Angry, and not social.
The seventh avatar was Ram, the first thinking social being, who laid out the laws of society and the basis of all relationships.
The Eighth avatar was Balarama, a true farmer showed value of agriculture in the life
The Ninth avatar was Krishna, the statesman, the politician, the lover who played the game of society and taught how to live and thrive in the social structure.
And finally, my boy, will come Kalki, the man you are working on. The man who will be genetically supreme."
Vasu looked at his Mother speechless. "This is amazing Mom, how did you.. This makes sense!"
    "Yes it does Vasu!
Its just the way you look at it - Religious or Scientific. Your call. 🙏👍

Later she had the modern surgery for her other eye, but her first eye was still better that this one!
