  • I feel my photography has been neglected of late so in this video I try to recapture my passion for landscape photography. As I park up in one of my favourite places I attempt to capture a sunset and images in the golden hour, am I successful? The following morning after striking the camp I hike to a surprise location to fulfil another dream before heading back to the car, is the expedition worth it? Watch to find out more...
    Total Distance :- 2.88 Miles (4.63km)

First to comment this time Duncan. Been a while, but good to see you back out there and getting a wild camp in too. As for the photography, I reckon you still did a pretty good job there at the end. Might actually be up your way this weekend or if not very soon. Plan on doing 2 nights, starting and finishing at Cow green and taking in High Cup, Cross Fell etc. Would be good to meet you at some point as you're an expert of the area compared to me. Cheers.

Thanks Dan, I have missed the wild camping and photography so it was good to get back out there again. If you are planning on heading this way send me an email (in the about section) and if I am free I will be delighted to meet up with you hike together 😊

Thanks, it ranks as one of my favourite places in the North Pennines, a total surprise and so quiet, it's no wonder I keep returning there just to escape the bustle of modern life.

@@DuncanBaxter tomorrow we're going to do one of your walks to see the flat trig points, never heard of them until you showed us them. 😀
I intend to try take in more of the night sky and get some books on the stars 🌟

@@sharonrobinson421 sorry for the delay in replying, hope you were able to find one of the 'curry stools', with them being flat not as easy to spot as a pillar. The night sky of the North Pennines is ideal for star gazing, one of its many hidden qualities 🙂
