Fun fact about the garfield game:
Garfield Caught in the Act was released for PC, Sega Genesis, Game Gear and IBM PC it came out on 1995 and also was a platformer game, a good one at that.
What has in common with this game? simple it uses the same garfield sprites from that game onto this and other 2 more games, but this are exactly identical just added the elbow move, the kick and the wario dash thing.
Why did you list the PC twice? IBM PC was just what people referred to PC as back then.

There wasn't a DOS port of the game, only a Win95 port based on the Genesis port.

@@ChaseMC215 yeah unless they meant some niche branded PC for the first one (like one of the NEC PC series, but seeing as those were never really a thing outside of Japan I find it highly unlikely Garfield Caught in the Act was ported to any of them, unless Garfield has some big Japanese fanbase that I'm just not aware of), it makes no sense

yeah, looks like whoever made the pack literally just packaged a NES emulator for gba with roms for each game, the tearing isn't that surprising considering that at that point you're just emulating an emulator, lol
was curious so i looked around, the emulator is PocketNES and they're just pre-packaging it with an NES rom for each one of those "GBA" games. Apparently it's actually a pretty damned good emulator on actual GBA hardware and can even do link cable multiplayer.

Gremlins 2 NES honestly doesn’t look that bad of a game. The music’s pretty kickass too, but considering Sunsoft made it that’s pretty typical.
Gremlins 2 was great! It was one of my favorite NES games when I was about 4 and 5.
Gremlins 2 is super solid. Has tight controls and asweet password system. To this day I remember the passcodes for 2 last levels: VLBB and NXRD
it's just really bizarre that it was ported to GBA and not even given any kind of remaster or even color update, like why not just port it to GBC then? I also find it very odd that they not only insistently ported that game to GBA, but made an original Gremlins game for GBA, like did Gremlins see some huge resurgence in popularity in the early '00s that I've just somehow forgotten about???
That Sonic port at 33:33 is actually a hack of the one you played. It fixes the physics, makes the graphics look nicer and has better music. It can certainly run on an NES, I have the original (non-GBA) hack.

i guess the flickering is because they tried to squeeze the whole nes screen onto the gba and it sorta alternates between 2 different renders each frame
31:22 I remember having a Famicom cartridge with this game on it & the multiplayer is abysmal you play as Pikachu & Jigglypuff but the second player always loses no matter what, probably because of an oversight the programmers never bothered fixing.

Union Bond is a Chinese bootleg developer team, they also did one of the bootleg NES Titanic games iirc (I think it was the JRPG-style one rather than the platformer, and as bootleg games go, it's actually almost kind of awesome in a weird way, Jack fights giant bugs, for some reason)
Holy god my brother and i played the hell out of the ps2 game that spyro game is based on… it’s hardly even a 6/10 game but man we loved it
Pretty sure that _was_ the shitty NES Sonic game you were playing, Vin. The flickering was harder to see because of the light blue background, but it was there. Also the music had the telltale signs of the NES's sound chip instead of the distinctly crusty sounds of the GBA's.

I actually own the Garfield game in cartridge form.. I still play it now and then... it’s not bad, but the difficulty gets ridiculous at the end..

nearly all these NES-to-GBA conversions have been made using an app that can take NES roms and convert them to GBA roms with custom splash screens. It looks like some of them have been made with joke splash screens specifically for vinny, hence why the copyright is 2018
