Today I want to talk about the difference between the BOSS RC-505 vs BOSS RC-300 Loop Pedal Settings! On the surface the two pedals seem very equal, disregarding the extra loop tracks on the BOSS RC-505! However, when you go through every single setting on the two loop pedals. You soon see certain features are present and missing on each pedal! That is what I want to talk about today!

I do get a hiss from MIC input on RC 300 which improved with turning main volume full blast and lowering volume on Bose L1 model 2
I slowed this video down to %75. Worked well, good video.
Hi Ben, love your channel. The LCD screen on my RC-300 has gone blank so I cant read any titles, input titles, or anything that requires use of the screen, editing etc..The red track numbers 1 - 99 are still visible, as are all other lights..do you know how I can fix this? Thank you
Love the looper video!!!! Hope you can help. I edited the tracks to Free for each track. I record on track 1 with no problem. When I record each subsequent track and stop it to play it blinks and takes a second for it to play again. How do I get it to play immediately? Is this normal? Lastly, I can’t remember which video talked about changing the settings to delete a track by tapping EDIT or Stop three times instead of holding it down for three seconds. I wanted to change that. Thanks!!!

Great video. Sometimes I have problems working out where you finish one sentence and start the next one, but otherwise this information is very well-explained and it's all very relevant and useful.
Do you know the Aeros looper from singular sound ? Same company made the beatbuddy drum pedal.
i do own the 300 and it has been good to me although the efx in have broken but it still loops and ocan still put background tracks in it while playing my sax over top or adding horn lines etc. all that being said i do find myself using it more as a table top device. knowing what i know now about both devices, i think the 505 is more for me for what i want to do not to mention the built in audio interface. im about to pick up the 505 as well to add to my arsenal. interesting to see how they work together.

Hi Guys, I'm a percussionist, looking to lay down a host of instruments, using my hands obviously. I'm new to looping....and can't decide between the foot-based RC300 or the tabletop RC505?....thoughts?? I'm not too phased by the tech differences, as they both are great machines...but hand vs foot?? Tx! :)
My digital readout screen blacks out periodically. How can this be corrected?
it would be cool if they had an dual 505 for use as a foot pedal like that worked in parallel with the one on the table so you could use both your hands and your feet in an almost identical manner...trying to play record and store in a tiny guitar foor pedal is a pain you end up bending over and playing with the pedal and pretty soon its on a table or crate as you try and get your sample in there and save it.... I thing good visual cues,,, audio cues are a must as well as controls that are exclusive to what they are trying to control not a multiple tap, push, rotorary selection contrul to write, play save and then press some other button or step on the switch... and no computer based software stuff for me.... right now I have a digital sampler and am triggering background tracks, accompaniment, and intros with that... kind of like Karaoke... Its is one of my efforts to try and make things a little less confusing... but it sure nice to know what is out their and what works well... boss was always a good name and I use a lot of their stuff...

So what I'm hearing is get both and have a B/A 8 track looper
I've been using a 505 with a 300 for a couple years now, and love it. Once you add foot pedals to both(use the 505 as master for tempo here too, BTW)
I started with the 300, but think I would've been better off, and think others would be too, starting with the 505 first.
If you add a midi controller to it all and program it as you like, then you're really rocking... anyways, that's my experience... just get both, if you can. I recently was robbed, and nay get an aeros, new to the game, and pair it with the 505. It'll still replacement recently jacked 300 when I can afford, but for now, gonna try the aeros...
But if you do get the 505 and 300 together, you won't be upset at all... you can program them to start tracks together too, through midi. So if you have a track on your 505 you want to start with a track starting in the 300, you can easily. Do so... you can run the sound of one through the other, or run to a mixer... this allows you to have the ability to use the metronome without the issue this dude talks about. ...

So the 505 and 300 have been useful together? I just bought the 300 by accident (didn't realize til after it shipped) and the 505 because, well, that's what wanted. I play bass and keyboard and use vocals and beat boxing as well. I am now looking for any videos where they are implemented together. I've heard the 505 works better as slave to the 300 when using both?

Wrong, the Boss 300 DOES have a count in before the beat starts.

Buy the display model that’s what I did I had mine in a few days whereas hard to import boss into Australia atm apparently
