My friend, you have become one of my favorite YT channels. I am a 60 year old guitarist who stopped playing about 5 years ago and ready to start making music again because of people like you who inspire. My probelm is my apt and studio is so unorganized I literally cried everyday because it seems like an impossible task to get organized. When you said it took 3 days to get your place setup, that means it will take me close to 3 weeks because I have so much gear, chords, paperwork, that I know once I am organized my life will become so much better. I saw you almost cry when you said you have not been organized lately and it's time to change. Those words impacted me more than your beautiful music. I know all I need to do is 2 hours a day everyday for 2 to 3 weeks. It's just so hard to get started. As a reward when I get this done I am buying a Godin Multivac. I LOVE the sound of your guitar. So sweet. Plus I love MIDI guitars I have two Godin electric guitars with built in Fishman Triple Play Wireless MIDI pickup which I used to use in my studio when it was setup and organized. I could control all my hardware & software synths with my guitar so I totally get you. Let me ask you something and sorry for such a long post. If you were going to buy a looper pedal today would you get the new Roland 600 or 505Mk11? Same with guitar synth. Would go with the GR-55? I am going to put a system together and rig really tough deciding on which looper to purchase. I did see a video today where you had the Boss A/B pedal on floor and used your foot to control the looper so I realize you don't necessarily need a floor based looper. I will stop now as this is too long. And congrats on your success. I saw a video earlier today when I saw you giving away a gift when you hit 10,000 subscribers. Looks like you hit your goal because at 27,000 today. You will be at 100,000 within a year🙏
I am in the same place as you month ago - trying to choose between Roland 600 and 505MkII.
My train of thought is that I am nearsighted and can hardly imagine trying to tweak anything on a pedal that is sitting of the floor - I won't be able to read the screen, and will have to reach for the knobs on the floor while holding my guiltar, it just doesn't make sense to me.
I think I am leaning to 505MkII + separate pedals, as Andreas shows in his video.
Hello my friend,
Thanks for this comment. I’m glad to be one of your favorite channels and I really hope you start playing again. Organization is tough but don’t let the thought overwhelm you. Instead work on a few things one day and a few more the next one. Buy a label maker and plastic bins and group like items and it will make your life easier. Also get rid of false ideas such as “I can do this because I need to do that”… I do that a lot and sometimes this is just an arbitrary order of things we make up and believe as an ultimate truth.
Regarding gear, I have not done research or try any of the new products so I couldn’t tell you, but eventually I will have to research and maybe update but for now I’m happy with what I have.
Cheers and I hope you keep playing 🎸
@@tendercrab hi! I have never tried the Roland, and the 505 just works. Having the looper in front of me is handy and with the foot controller then that’s all I need. Cheers!
Very Nice! Thank you I just ordered mine thanks to you answering my questions right at the beginning
Man!! Thanks for this video. I've watched so many on the RC 505, and yours is the easiest to understand. I had given up on getting one because it just seemed too complicated. But your breakdown lit the fire again..
And your outro loop was fantastic!!
Thank you for explaining everything. Good choice to upgrade !! Love your music and looping.thank you.
I watched all three you guys sitting on the couch the other day I've been looking for the same thing thank you all three of you I'm subscribed to all three channels you guys are great and I'll see you out there so grateful I am
beautiful! looking forward to hearing what you create with the new rig!
Allan Fox thanks yeah it’s exciting !
This sealed it for me thank you!!! You exampled exactly what I questioned was easily possible in creating ambient sound healings with multiple instruments and harmonizing my own voice. So excited!
Psyched to see the looper upgrade! Already sounding great!
Dude, this is the 2nd video of yours that I'm watching on this unit...you've got me wanting one now! And beautiful playing!
I'd definitely use that FS6 pedal. I'm often playing and singing, and I'll usually record a loop on the 2nd chorus before the solo part so that I can solo over that. So my clicks have to be quick!
Save and record these, I would buy a CD of them !👍🏻
Thanks for showing how it actually works, everyone else is talk talk talk. Very cool!
Amazing music skills brother! You could be a salesman for these, haha
Slinky Josh thank you. I hope Boss watches this and think the same as you do. I’ll have to check out your slinky videos
I was looking everywhere for the mounting plate for my camera, until I looked on my camera...yup, it was on the camera. But, it made me clean my place, too.
Not bending over to the floor to adjust your looper is a plus, too. The audience just loves seeing the top of your head for 30 seconds at a time.
The best thing about the 505? The user interface. TC Helicon makes a better sounding looper(24bit vs 16bit on the 505), with great vox preamps, but that Boss interface was the keeper for me. My wish for the LoopStation? Metal body and better quality faders.
Blessings.
Ahahaha, that fifth finger at 1:39 killed me mate :D Instant sub! Cheerio from Greece
Improvising all dynamics to compose a song is a very unique quality not all musicians share.
...but if you want something done right, you must do it yourself. Great job.
Very smart… thanks for this awesome demo, sounds amazing
I just want to say.... WOW....amazing. Fantastic demo, and what an amazing talented artist.
There is also the Boss RC-202. It's a more compact version of this. Of course, its more limited than the 505, but still tons of options and potential!
Dude! That was awesome! Beautiful playing
Damn! I missed the 10k giveaway, lol. Thanks for our how to instructional video. Most of my equipment was damaged last week due to a fractured water pipe above my sound room, and I'm now researching equipment replacement which will accomplish what all of my previous equipment was capable of doing but in a combined smaller package/footprint.
That was legit! Loving the tunes man!. Guitar center here I come.
So happy to see the sub numbers climb as more people spread the word about this superb content! Can’t wait to see the ATEM Pro in action on the live streams. 👍🏼
Thanks man! I had to cancel the order of the ATEM because B&H can’t keep promises
@@andrescolintv Good for you! We do companies the favor by choosing them for our $$. Glad you stood firm.
GregSB you’re right! Any place you recommend to get it?
@@andrescolintv Unfortunately, I think BlackMagic recommends B&H first. They do have this ---> www.blackmagicdesign.com/resellers/
Love watching you and @dovydas using that looper. The one thing I would like to see them add (as an amateur sound tech guy) is stereo outs for all five tracks so you you can record them into a DAW and tweak individual tracks after if necessary before creating a final recording.
It can be done by copying to a multitrack in steps.
Tks, for sharing! Boss, hear the man!
Thanks!
Just bought one! I am excited about playing around with it!
I’ve had mine a year now, love it, I spend more time on it than my korg Kronos. Also I found it uses a micro SD card for storage, so I upgraded mine from 4gig to 32 gig.
Thanks Andres to shown us.
Brilliant video, great explanation
Great vid..The 505 is such a great machine with a wide scope of uses across many areas of music makeing...
This might be the best sounding demo ever. Great job.
beautiful guitar playing and guitar!
You are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing. Appreciate you!
I want one!
Sean Daniel me too 😝
Andres, thanks for the demo. Very helpful. Question: Do you ever use the banks to record song sections, (Verse, Chorus, Bridge) ? If so, how does this unit work for that application?
I was fascinated at how Reinhardt was using the RC505 Loop Station, but could not understand what he was doing, now you, in one video, showed us CLEARLY all scenarios to use this, wow, thank you so much. Subbed, and yeah, who wants to do the shaker for 3 minutes !
Great demo of this product.
Thanks for this good demo.
Good one Andres! Thanks.
Great video Andres, what are you using for drums? Are they the drum loops with in the 505?
BADASS REVIEW!!!!! THANK YOU
Well done brother, that was absolutely beautiful!
Awesome!!! Keep it coming!
Great explanation.
Honestly, that was amazing: well done
New subscriber here!! Awesome and very inspiring. What guitar and bass are you playing? Is the 505 allowing you to play the drum sounds or are you doing that another way?
I went with the RC-500. Much less disruptive than the 505. But still a bear of a transition from the RC-30. Also, programmable with the FS-6. I can’t loop with my hands. The RC-500 stays on the floor. Keep on rocking! You sound awesome.
🙏❤️🙏you made me buy one!!
Hello, I also have rc505 and its true that size matter ;) I found AEROS Loop Studio. It looks amazing and it has size for pedalboard, I didnt try it yet.. maybe its challange for you, for new video content ;) merry looping and happy new boss
Best advert for the 505 on the net. Boss should pay you for this demo.
Thanks for the compliment. Maybe someone has a contact in boss and can get me in touch
Nice your looping technique... 👍
Thank you for the video!
what's that bass guitar sounds so fine?
nice one!!
nice touch on the guitar...tasty notes! Really powerful with a song that is always the same beat, chords etc...
but how good is it if there is a Intro, verse and chorus?
You are a smart guy. Your results are excellent. The new Boss RC-500 is the one I will go with however. I can link two RC-500 units together and get 4 tracks. I use the Boss GT-1000 on a stand. I was using two linked RC-300 units before but too much real estate on stage. I use a Beat Buddy for Drums until I learn the RC-500 rhythm process.
You are a killer guitarist. Nice use of the Loop Station too.
Hey Andres, how did you record the audio/what settings did you use? A lot of 505 videos don't sound great but yours sounds fantastic.
Wow eso está brutal!!!!!🔥🔥🔥😍
Great Tips on the how to ,,,I own the RC-505 MKII and there is no real tips ,Great Video to get started
Woow that sounds awesome. Love the beat 👍
That was excellent! I am deciding between the 505 vs the newly released RC-500...metal case higher recording quality...but I really like the way the 505 is a tabletop and the user interface...its just the faders more than the plastic case that me me nervous. Probably pull the trigger and get it anyway...
You are more of a keyboardist than a guitarist. Good job and impressive!
While he presented the loop statin and casually banged through buttons, he melted my heart and spoiled my ears.
Hi thanks for the video, what was that bass ukulele you were using?
Hi Andres. What an informative video. May I know the model of the guitar you are using?
Cool looper! 👍
What is the second instrument that you are using, you say its a base but i had a hard time finding the exact one in your description. I love that sound!
great video Bro. what's your thoughts about headrush looper board?
Que bien suena esa guitarra!!! Muy bueno🙌
I picked up one of those a few months ago. It's way more looper than I currently need, but I have room to grow with it. My favorite feature is to start a track and not recording till I start playing. It's also really nice to have the progress bar light up showing you where you are in the loop. I agree that Boss should make one in a foot pedal version instead of a table top.
RC 600 is soon to arrive. As a guitar player I’m in doubt rather to go with a table looper or the new 600. Any thoughts?
@@OfirOrlinsky hi What did u buy at the end? thx
@@mbeliv3763 didn’t buy anything eventually 😀
Hermosos tus videos!! seria mi sueño tener todo eso!! te felicito!! sos un genio!! saludos desde Argentina!!!
Great video! What is your bass?
Nice work man! Did you use your guitar as a midi controller for the drum loop? Or did I just miss what was going on there. Because that's really cool.
I too wanna know that ..
Very cool, and beautiful. Could you play a whole form for a whole song form with this method? And then I'd imagine say changing the comping track for more variation, say for under your solo. I'd love to hear you do a say 32 bar loop like you are doing. Now that would be really musically cool. Maybe the unit has limits this way. Nice tone on your instruments and voice.
How is the sound quality? Great video. Sir
Incredible!!
I will have a 505 for christmas!! I canto wait to use it!! Please platicame un poco de tu bajo... Suena muy chingon!!!
Why do I hear some Reinhardt buhr similarities in your music, so great! You both even have a really similar guitar :) You got a subscribe!
This was great! What is this mini bass? Thanks!
Excelente!!
You make very nice sound
Very nice!
How did you get drums off of your guitar? Pretty cool! Thanks!
good job! how did you made the kick with the guitar? Also got a boss rc 505
Hey, guess you have figured out by now but he's using a synth guitar: czcams.com/video/GYifz4sdVWo/video.html
Hermano como te va saludos he visto alguno de tus videos y me gustaría saber que sintetizador usas para hacer la percusion con tu guitarra saludos!
You seen the two channel rc202? Literally exactly what your asking for from Roland. You are an epic player
You make i look far too easy. Great vid!
Hey greetings from France ! Nice vidéos ! What do you think of the effects of the 505 on the Guitar ?
For years ive used a ditto x4 and of all the extra features over the x2 like stop. fade out , once play , the most important feature( as Andreas points out) is theres 2 channels so like the 5 on this LP , the most important thing is random measures will continue to play
hola desde Francia ! I will switching my rc2 also !
what model is your bass please? :) nice vid
What effects are you using on the Boss RC-505? I use the chorus and dynamic compressors alot, especially the Live Comp, Acoustic Comp, Orch Comp and Hard Limiter one's. It makes the Roland JD-XI sound phenomenal, and makes it even that much better with the Roland's sound effects added onto the sounds as well...SBN
I think you’re really talented. Niiice ...
Nice video, can you tell me. Why you don't choose the rc 600?
Would help me!
What is the bass guitar you are using? Sounds sweet!
Excellent
Isn't it a problem when you have so slice your loops to have to manipulate the looper by hand instead than with the foot ?
Nice review and very nice music btw, I love your style :)
I know this video is over a year old, but I was wondering why you wouldn't use the "guitar to bass" effect for recording the bass? LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!
What bass guitar did you use? I didn't see it in your music gear lineup and I need something small and with a good, firm low-end sound.
1st Comment! I ask you about this a few live videos ago. Keep up the great work. Respect!
Adrián D'Marti thank you!
RC 600 is soon to arrive. As a guitar player I’m in doubt rather to go with a table looper or the new 600. Any thoughts?
how do you connect guitar / bass to RC 505? directly to RC (line in) or via any device?
