Worked at a gas processing plant. Had 2- 250 HP twin cylinder Clarks with a center flywheel. It turned with air to start. If it was not staged right you ran out of air before it would start. When started and set at 185 rpm you could ballance a nickel on the heads. Base was set in concrete with poured lead spacers. Was built in 1921. Sold for scrap in 1981.
Much Tangye Diesel air start experience taught me you need plenty of air pressure and calculating the cranking power for a large National gas engine with flick magneto like this machine didn't stop us trying with an underpowered Lister L type and belt drive! You persevere and you get them running eventually !
Then why bother? Doesn't appear to be any missing crucial parts, kinda stupid to restore as a static display instead of a runner. Even if it doesn't get run but maybe once a year.

Ah ah....Yes it worked perfectly like you can see at the end of the video...but many people did'nt really understand at all what we are talking about (a STATIC engine) and they say it didn't worked because it didn't moved 😂😂😂😂. I invite all of them to send me a video of a static engine that moves like a normal tractor...it would make my day 😆😆😆
