LG's only additions to the G7 One are the likes of Super Boost for the spacious display and some slick Quad DAC audio support. Besides that, this is clean, vanilla Android all the way. As a result, the LG G7 One isn't quite as premium as the standard G7 when it comes to hardware - last year's Snapdragon 835 chipset is on board for instance. And there's a single lens rear camera, with a stripped-down app for shooting your life.

Why do they have to sell different hardware to get this skin out. All of their phones should get a software update with some iteration of this skin. A OnePlus-esque skin would result in an indefinite boost in sales as LG's UI is one of it's most unattractive features.
thats kinda limited or blocked with business decisions I suppose.. Any phone with SD845 and android one will kill the upcoming Pixel phones.. So Google wont support it I guess.. That why LG has gone for SD835.. But this still is cool media phone but wont be suitable for AI features in pie..
LG's UI looks much better than stock android and performance is very similar. No lag or freezing on my V30.
The choice of not only storage capacity, ram and colour but flavour of Android (LG UI or One) would be so neat.

Try out an LG phone. The UI isn't what it used to be. It's really nice to use, no lag and a sleek design. Some neat features too
This is what I want to see from big companies. An android one addition to go with there flagships. This is great for those who prefer vanilla stock android with no bloatware duplicate apps and extras and just want a smooth software experience.
Price tag should be in the 400$ Range.

I've been using this phone for about a month. At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Android One (Google Assistant is a big disappointment to me), but I've really enjoyed the phone and find that I spend less time fiddling with the interface than on any other mobile OS I've had. The phone is speedy and can easily play games like Mario Kart while Battery Saver is on. The battery capacity isn't great but I find the phone is pretty efficient with it, so I've actually never gone below 20% by time I got home as of yet. The Li-Po battery supposedly holds less charge than the usual Li-Ion BUT it's also supposed to have greater longevity, which aligns nicely with the promise that every Android One phone is supposed to stay up-to-date for at least 3 years after release. Call quality is good. Speaker is not great quality but there is a nice bass-boost feature when you put the phone down on a surface. There are a couple of good audio features that really deliver premium sound when you use headphones. Altogether I'm not sure this phone competed well at the original price tag but a year later it's definitely a good choice if you can get it at a lower price or free with your contract.

I want this phone so bad, but no one knows if it will be sold in the U.S. and it's driving me insane!!!!
IF the price is good we will get a last year flagship (with sd 835 which is better than all midrange cpu) with stock android and features of a this year flagship for a midrange price. Not bad strategy by LG. Maybe this is because of G6 which was cheaper and people who had budget around 300$ bought that phone instead of newer midranges. I always tend to buy older flagship than newer midrange, only thing I wanted is the updates which we will get with G7 One.
Do these ship with unlockable bootloaders?
Forgive my ignorance as been using apple until now, but is the android "easy" mode on the G7 like the Samsung galaxy 9+? I can't use my external DAC (standard USB interface) with my iphone and has me done with that company for a while. Apparently apple feels no external DACs other than their standard dongle are to receive serial streaming data. If I understand correctly, the G7 is essentially a high performance DAC and headphone amplifier with a phone around it... what I am looking for.
If they do a V- series one ill buy regardless of price.
How about a video on "the differences" between Android One and a "normal load" of apps on a branded phone? I just want a smart phone without all the "social media crap". Plus "misinformation from the internet". ;)

My video quality for Instagram videos only is horrible no idea why. It will start fine for a half second then get all blurry

3000 mAh battery isn't enough!!! on an LG device.
But almost stock Android never consumes that much amount of battery, I have v30+ and Battery lasts a day for me on average

Wide angle camera is LG's USP. Everyone's been asking for stock android LG phone for years. What does LG do? Release the Android One edition but remove the wide angle lens. WTF?!?! Whoever is in charge of LG mobile division should be sacked. IMMEDIATELY.

It just might, cuz its a snapdragon 835. Cuz my pixel 2xl has 3520 mAh and it runs for a day and a half.

The notch hasn't really bothered me. U can hide it too but it might appear in some apps, the only downside for me is that it will block a part of the screen if u play a video from your gallery on full screen

I got a G6 right now n if the G7 android One is indeed around 300 quid, I will definitely go for it. Not really bothered about the SD835. Current gen chipset means fuck all if the software ain't updated.
