I really appreciate the channel man. Even though I have been tattooing for years I still never stop learning. So thanks
The disposable grip may be cold-sterilized. The paper towels and the elastic wrap (which moreover come in direct contact with the skin and/or the tattooing hand) are not sterile.
Oh man....THANK U SO MUCH FOR THE REVIEW!!!! IT HELPED MADE MY DECISION!!!!!
I have had the xnet blade for awhile now and I have to say I absolutely love that xnet/ambition machine as well.ive been using it more then my broncs and all my other xnets and other machines.now the xnet blade dose have disposable grips and they come pre packaged with the color changing dot on them so you know there sterilized.every xnet machine I have performance is stellar, quality is stellar, and they are all around great machines.i also have a a few higher dollar machines that my broncs and xnets blow outta the water.im not going to mention the names cause alot of ppl get butt hurt now ah days.....I was trying to decide between this and the Vlad blad avenger v2 pro and after watching this I now know which one to get so thanks for posting this and as always man all your first impressions and reviews are absolutely awesome so keep them coming.
We’ve had two of theses in the shop and both had to get the cams serviced a few months in… switched to Vlad Vlad avenger 2 pro and been loving it!
Hey man welcome back👍💪
Great review
I can actually adjust the needle depth quite easily. Just have a separate piece of clipcord sleeve over the grip part.
Also, if you hold it more towards the back while adjusting, the stroke won’t be changed.
The only machine i use since 2021, i run a busy parlor and never had to use the backup machines.
Never run it without a cartridge, never had any issues.
Pushes 14RL’s and 49CM’s like a dream.
Half of what we use isn’t sterile btw like gloves, ink caps, napkins, glide packs that we use after opening for weeks, big ink bottles that are oxidizing since they got opened etc.
I have to go by my health code regulations in tn. I can only go by what they tell me. But I understand completely
Hey man, I would really love to see you check out the Neuma 4. It was designed to address issues with rotary style machines that we as tattoos never knew where issues, namely the amount of time during a cycle that the needle rests in the skin. I started out using coil machines, then building coil machines, and eventually with everyone else going to rotary pens I tried a couple too. But I have never seen anything lay ink more efficiently then the Neuma 4. It is a 4 to 9 volt 8.5 w motor, with a cam system designed to minimize the time the needle is sitting in the skin without moving, available in grip sizes from 28 mm up to 38 mm, and available in aluminum stainless or brass so you can find the weight that you like to use and a size that you like to use. And the grips and cams can all be cold sterilized with cavicide. The cams are available in three different stroke lengths and each stroke is available in four different durations for lining, shading, blending, or packing. Personally I use their stainless shift grip with a 4.2 mm 20% cam for lining, and a 28mm aluminum grip with a 3.6mm 33% cam for shading.
Best machine I've used as well
Also, it works great with batteries (just a regular RCA connector). I use critical battery packs and can be wireless 100%.
Really ?
i buy the bishop paker wand and i'm waiting for it to arrive !!
hi, at wich voltage do you run for shading and packing with the valhalla
I understand wanting disposable grips sterilized for the sanitary reasons . However , I don’t see why it’s such a big issue ? The grip isn’t coming into contact with the skin . If a pathogen came into contact with the grip , you’d be throwing it away anyways and using a new grip . So , why would it need to be sterile?its obviously clean , it’s not like it comes packaged with blood borne pathogens on it . It is also wrapped like the entire machine is . You can only auto clave the grips on pen style machines . The rest is sanitized by cold sterilization with chemicals . So , realistically only the grip would be “Sterile “ . Not to mention the gloves you put on that come into contact with the open skin and the paper towels you use to wipe the skin are NOT STERILE .
Plus the Valhalla has the disposable clean caps which makes it even more hygienic.
It's because people like to make a huge deal out of nothing. The air around the whole tattoo isn't sterile either. My God, what do we do about that?
Yeah plus the membranes on carts these days it's impossible anything would get into it. For a full on transfer to happen of pathogens would have to be on the very end of the cart needle 😂
It’s just how it is. The rules of BBP say this isn’t sanitary and as artists their jobs are their entire lives so taking risks just isn’t worth it… hope that helps why he can’t use them at all.
1st and hell yea iv been wanting to see the review on this one and how have you been did you get hurt
Yea man luckily I had a few I recorded before my accident
Bought this pen for my wife when she "graduated" from being an apprentice. Must have been the first gen, been using it for years without issue. She uses it from 8-14v if I remember correctly... we'll seek a different brand as a backup machine.
add some lubricant on the o ring for easier change of the needle depth
Do you use the clean caps with this ?
Hope you're healing swiftly!
Take care Brandon!
Where can I find sterile grips for this machine
Just started my apprenticeship! Interested to know why the disposable grips are an issue if they are covered up when the pen is in use?
Specifically for these disposable grips, they don't come sterilised. Even if you wrap up your machine it doesn't negate the fact that the disposable grips are not sterile, which means there's always a higher chance of infections or blood borne pathogens spreading.
Similarly even if your machine is wrapped up and you're using metal grips, you will still need to sterilise it in an autoclave after use. Hygiene should always be the no.1 priority when it comes to tattooing, and it's important to practice being as sanitary as possible. The best approach is to treat it like you're a surgeon in an operating room.
Don't change the stroke when the machine is on or you will need to send it back for repair. Change it when not working
Curious can u get cold sterilization products like madicide or cavicide were u are?
Yes
So I'm new to tattooing. I want to get into it but don't have the budget for a machine that will crap out on me. I've been saving for a long time to get this machine and the whole setup...just to realize they will refuse delivery if I'm not a professional nor a proven apprentice. I live in a small town with only 1 tattoo artist and he is not taking apprentices currently.....little disappointed.
For an artist specializing in linework, whip shading and crosshatching is there any other rotary machine you would recommend similar to the axys that won't break?
Bishop wand
I was on the fence about this machine but once I saw the disposable grips, I knew there had to be something netter for the price. I suggest you check out the bishop wands
Bishop wands have some great machines
I’ve been wanting to pick this up for a while and after talking to a few distributors and I was told that the 2nd gen and up of this machine starts to develop a rattle in the machine after a short time and getting a lot of returns and complaints awhich sucks because I was really looking forward to this machine.
I got my Valhalla and within a week got a rattle in the machine
Same 2 weeks after using I hit a rattle
My 2nd Vahalla was purchased November of 2022. I had to send it back by mid December, and then a 2nd time in May. Been running alright in the longer strokes since then, but who knows for how long
Cheyenne has disposable grips and fk xion and bishop wand have disposable grips to from there company
For a second I thought the same thing with the disposable grips but are you going to throw away your ink cups, you're cling rap that you wrap your arm rest with or your box of razors that you shave them with.. no you're not. The only thing you need is a sterile needle and a clean grip that you can throw away after the session
I go by what the health department in Tennessee says every state has different laws. I recommend talking with your area health department and fallowing there laws on it so you don’t deal with fines.
I ran mine at 6.2 volts
I was gonna buy this machine, but amount of people reporting issues with it terrifies me, a lot of people had to service multiple times a year, for what i research when i was looking for my first machine this is the most unreliable machine on the market ,comparable to chineese crap. Paying 600 and have dead machine in few months, no thanks.
I went for InkJecta X1, one of the reasons being your suggestion that you like your nano better than Sol Nova, Neuma is not avaible in my country without paying huge import fees.
It happened to me, I really do not recommend this machine
0:25 0:26
What’s better this or a inkjeta?
I would recommend an Inkjecta for sure
@@Tattooing101 thanks man I am an apprentice at a shop but my mentor is saying they aren’t worth it. But I’m definitely buying once I can afford it. There’s a lot of different varieties of inkjetas, which one is the best? Ultralight?
Ink caps come non sterile in a bag bulk. Wont use grips that are sterile packaged, what about caps?
It’s my health department rules have to fallow them but I understand your opinion
Not a reliable machine. Mine had to be repaired 2 times with the same issue, rattling sound. Not even my daily
Valhalla was the worst machine I’ve owned lol that cam in the motor always goes out you’ll eventually hear it rattle
I’ve heard the same thing from a few distributors but it’s only in the generation 2 and up .
@@theshoptattoos brotha I got mine “warranty” fixed 3 times they even replaced my whole machine and still happened, trust me dude I hate leaving negative reviews especially when the machine at first was good. But no man it’s let me down a lot
It seems that they have lots to improve on besides their disposable grips not being sterile
@@Tattooing101 yea unfortunately, the bishop power wand is what I switched out to, and let me tell you 🔥🔥
complete junk!! 3 machines later and still soumds like a rattle snake... never again ever!!!!! save your time buy a flux
I hate this machine, the stroke adjustment broke, not while i was adjusting it, but while I was pulling a line. Seriously? Also when I bought it it was rated for up to 14 volts, which was fine because I felt it was kind of soft hitting anyway, but then it got lowered to 12 because people were having so many issues. Now according to the instructions you received its rated for up to 10 volts? C’mon man. Do better Axys
I run this with a critical battery pack.
Any issues with your machine?
@@darkellthepiercer nah had it for a year no problems yet
@@poohdiddy5326 how often do you use your machine? I'm seeing reviews from people saying it breaks so easily....I already bought mine but only had it for 2 weeks and I put alot of money on it and I'm worried.
@@darkellthepiercer I feel you. I don’t use it much . Bt today I worked on practice skin for like 3 hours straight. I probably use it like 3,4 hours 2-3x a week l. An I got a lil back up C2
Make sure u wrap the grip an the machine separate. It makes switching the strokes so much easier that way.
I might be a great machine, but I won’t be doin any business with this brand ever again in my life! Worst customers service I have ever seen, actually I think they don’t even have a customers service, or they just choose to completely ignore my emails and messages in their social media! I’ve purchased a Valhalla power pack, after that the only thing I’ve got was an email confirmation with the estimated date! Meanwhile the estimated date has passed, I did not received my machine, no emails whatsoever to give me an update about it, no answers to my emails or messages, and I’m starting to feel that I’ve just been scammed and that I’ve lost 600$
My machine failed and never got an email or a call back it’s been 2 months…terrible company DO NOT BUY!
This is good to know thank you
Overpriced bling bling………Machine of the thousands issues….
