      @woodrobin Před 2 lety +35

      @@m3lapelazpendejoyoutubemarica1 You are wrong on every point:
      1. Thor was suffering from PTSD, and Thanos is really fast, especially for his size. He completely outmaneuvered Hulk in a fistfight in Infinity War, for instance. He is also at least as old as Thor (possibly quite a bit older in the comics) so Thor doesn't have a combat experience advantage either. Thanos is also very difficult to injure, as a full-on rage-fueled Stormbreaker hurled into his chest only went a few inches deep. Compare that to it going straight through one of the landing craft in Infinity War and coming back to Thor with little loss in momentum. Thanos is extremely tough.
      2. This is just hateful bile. But to the in-movie point: Captain Marvel is good at soaking up energy attacks, not as good at soaking up kinetic attacks (like a punch). She didn't expect him to *remove* stones from the gauntlet he'd focused so much effort on *adding* stones to up until now, so she got caught off-guard. Also, if she lets go of the hand with the gauntlet, he just puts the Power Stone back in and snaps his fingers, so what's the better move she should have been able to pull off, smart guy?
      3. Thanos didn't expect Cap to suddenly have the power of Thor, so it's understandable he wasn't prepped for that scenario. Thanos deciding that he's had about enough of this and is now going to take a moment to really make this personal and teach this backwater little planet a lesson about who has the biggest swinging purple organ in the solar system is fully explained in the dialog. So there's "no good reason" if you were asleep during half the scene, I suppose.

    3:21 That's a call back to the first avengers film when Tony suggested the accident that turned Bruce into the hulk happened for a reason. The fact that he survived, that's a big guy helped him survive, was meant for something bigger than what I could see at that time. So we have him coming full circle. But to be honest, I am wondering about that statement of him being made for this. Knowing the Hulk as a split personality, how can we be sure that this IS Bruce Banner? He said he felt shame over what happened five years prior. Who is to say that Bruce didn't deliberately allow another version of the Hulk to take center stage?

      Technically he did, didn't he?
      I mean, Prof. Hulk is a merging of Banner and Hulk; both their memories, both of their personalities, combined into one.
      This is just as much Hulk using Banner's intelligence and control to express himself as it is Banner claiming Hulk's strength as his own.

    • @Artisan1979
      @Artisan1979 Před 2 lety +2

      @@mermetalbard The line he said before put it on the glove quote it's like I was made for this" leads me to suspect that this is not emerging of Bruce Banner and The Hulk but rather a different persona. Who is to say that Bruce did not willingly give his body over to a different version of the Hulk? Further, when he says he's "the best of both worlds" how do we know he isn't covering up the truth? The professor hulk is Bruce's ideal self but he is NOT Bruce Banner. With the gamma research, something always goes wrong when it comes to the big guy. In the comic, it was supposed to be a temporary fix for a disastrous situation, one that Samson thoughts would allow Bruce to reassert control over time, but it never did. And the only one who could tell that it wasn't Bruce was Betty, but after a while she chose to accept this new state for her husband. Perhaps even think that she was wrong. But she wasn't. The MCU could inject some much-needed darkness back into the hulk by working on this angle. This possible identity crisis. And the fact that we saw Bruce once again human in the post credit scene of Shang Chi, we don't know whether or not he has discovered this himself.

    People always interpret Tony's "You're in no condition" line to be the same jab at Thor's weight, similar to Rhodes' following "cheese whiz" joke. But Tony's been there before, he felt the same trauma in Ironman 3 and the same desperation to do something 'right'. To fix everything. But Tony knows it doesn't work like that, he was there before and it only led him to a almost complete annihilation of everything he cared about. He knows Thor is still one of the most powerful beings alive, but he also knows that won't help him, not with the Infinity Guantlet. His mind, it's in no condition.

But then again I'm basing this logic off typical time travel paradoxes which are explicitly discounted as not accurate in this movie's universe, so...

    This scene is a clip from a three-hour movie that is part of 23-film saga. You havs to consider how the story has built up to this moment, how each character played their part in acheiving this moment. What you SHOULDN'T do is take one particular scene and nitpick it saying "That's not how it was in comics," or "That's not how logic works."

      @@hairdownes5514 "Hulk's character right" Yeah, because in 60 years of comic books, Hulk has always been consistent.
      You should know that there have been plenty of controversies and disputes over Hulk's character, even before the MCU.
      People complain and whine saying thing's like "My version of Hulk is the only true version of the Hulk" like they are professional writer or something.
      But in truth, Hulk is a fictional character that can be retconned or changed at the whim of the writers. There is no true version of the Hulk. Or rather, all versions of the Hulk are true versions of Hulk.
      Or just stick to your non-existent dream of "real" Hulk. I don't really care. I'm just a fan not a comic book expert.

      @@rlacksgh9673 you certainly have a point, there are several different conflicting interpretations in the hulk throughout the mainstream comics like any other superhero. Perhaps fairly more due to the nature of him being a being with multiple personas. That being said, most of the hulk fans I see appreciate most of the Hulk versions all and all. The ones given their due and written well. The mcu hulk was not written well.
      The trajectory his character arc just kept radically changing since between age of ultron and ragnarok. Bruce sacrifices himself to summon hulk and possibly never changing back, gets stuck in a completely different situation where Hulk wont even come out at all. And then when infinity war on briefly hints at what the internal conflict between bruce and Hulk is…they skip five years of character development so they can turn him into a chilled out meme. One that’s just around to put on a glove and make iron man look smarter for solving the time machine thing casually when bruce couldn’t.
      I get it, the manner in which a fans out cry comes aloud is often crude and needlessly aggressive. You have your reasons to be irritated by such behavior. But even looking at mcu hulk separately from any comic hulk, he’s become a disappointment for me sadly.
