  • NASA finally has a fully stacked Space Launch System rocket sitting inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida!
On Oct. 20, 2021, the final piece of the Artemis 1 mission was added to the SLS rocket, the Orion spacecraft with its launch abort system.
Artemis 1 will be an uncrewed mission to send the Orion spacecraft around the Moon in early 2022. It’ll pave the way for a human flight around the Moon on Artemis 2 sometime in 2023.
