First of all, RM 17.8 mil is just a price tag that's too difficult to resist to not visit. This mansion was initially one half the size but it got expanded later after the new owner bought over. Similar to the mansion that we visited before, there are several buildings differentiated in accordance to their functions.
In a land size bigger than an acre, it took a while to walk through every space but I was confused with the material selections. At certain parts, it's loud and cheerful. But then at other areas, it's so quiet and mellow. I'm also not a big fan of the 'dollar sign' form. Although it slows down the experience of walking around the perimeter, it creates weird pockets around the house. The high numbers of staircase and platform change are also peculiar in my opinion.
Overall, I enjoy the the external spaces more than the interior of the house.

Sorry but the house design seems very 80s vibes and walls & materials used are not thoroughly compliment each other. Given the scale / money the owner have, they should do a complete rebuilding the whole house. The entrance and front garage is just a big no no as well the lawn which using normal football grass? I mean a japanese smooth green trimmed carpet grasses types would be good with proper manicure.
The music “room” is not a proper room as it just like another separate living hall, i bet if someone were to playing any instruments then the whole house will be echoed as there’s no proper separation dividers.
Lastly, clearly dollar sign doesn’t come with tasteful mind... 😑
Not only it is outdated but the whole house is so incohesive. It is such a mess, Victoria furnitures here, Balinese cottage there, koi fish and artificial “mountain,” disgusting paintings everywhere. Just demolish it.
Maybe they don’t have the money anymore. That’s why they’re selling their mansion away…

This is like the most underwhelming RM17 mil house I have ever seen. But if the owner likes it, it's all good. If what you say is true about the whole family living there, I can only imagine the joy and laughter they are having living next to each other. Heck, I'd do anything just to have my mother and all my siblings and their family to live together under one roof. You cannot put a price on sentimental value or family 😊

Very dated design though. IF I have the money, I will nego on price and buy the land, demolish and rebuild instead. Within refreshed architecture and design.
You could have saved the demolish money by choosing a plot of empty land instead

Good honest presentation Sean. Yes you are right. You will need at least 4 maids and 2 butlers.The house is dark which means the design does not capture natural light. Also fixtures looks outdated. My take is a good RM10 m for renovations and repairs.

17 mil is quite cheap for land n house this size especially in country heights. Its a good neighbourhood. My mum used to drive around the neighbourhood after picking me n my sis from school to check out the houses. Nice to see inside the house instead of just passing by.

You have to call your kids to find out if they are home….design is very individualistic and dated… perhaps market at lower price because buyer will require a few million to refurbish the place.

My uncle stays there, Interesting thing about country heights, they have soo much money to tear down the whole house and rebuilt. one year you came and see the house after next two year you see a total different house on the same land. they refresh every two or three years. Theres even a contractor who just permanently renovating the same house for over 25 years. when they done the job a new request whack down again just because the wife don't like the new kitchen which they dont even cook!

i like the huge space of land.. but design-wise.. not really fond of it. There is a lot of confusion in the interior design. Also, when we go inside a mansion, there is a certain degree of "Class", but here.. i can't seem to feel it ... AT.ALL.. what a shame...

Love the land and driveway area but the interior is atrocious. Someone with money, I'd think they'd renovate the completely outdated designs. Even the air con in one of the rooms I saw is like our grand parents time.

reviewing this type of property will kill you reputation. you should select works rather than comission.
I do not agree on the reputation part because I don't think most of us have the opportunity to visit property of this price range. Not all of us can just walk in to a RM 17 mil property, I didn't know property with such price exist in the first place.
