SPAGHETTI & CATFISH DINNER! SOUL FOOD FISH FRIDAY! How to Fry Catfish Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe

- Hey ya'll let's make fried catfish and spaghetti and meatballs! This is a classic fish Friday in the South, but we also do it with hushpuppies and fries. Let's cook homies!
Spaghetti:
2 jar spaghetti sauce
1/3 lb ground turkey
1/3 ib ground Italian sausage
3 cloves garlic
1 onion minced
1 tbsp beef bouillon
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp rosemary
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp roasted Garlic and Herb
1/2 tsp complete seasoning
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup dry red wine
* Adjust seasoning based on the type of spaghetti sauce you buy and what flavor it is. Always season to taste friends!
Meat balls
3/4 lb ground sausage
3/4 lb ground turkey
1 eggs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp beef bouillon
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp complete seasoning
1/4 roasted garlic seasoning
1/3 cup bread crumbs
16 oz spaghetti noodles
Catfish:
1 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp salt free cajun seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
2 catfish filets
Wet Batter :
3 eggs
1 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp hot sauce

You don't have to be from the south to KNOW that catfish and spaghetti is PERFECT together. Black Americans know that this combination is the stuff. I'm always surprised when some Black people haven't heard of this combination, I thought we all knew about it. But I have to admit I don't make my spaghetti meat sauce the same.😊

We also eat fish and spaghetti in chicago as well. But most of our family migrated from the south. Don't forget the Texas toast garlic bread lol and sometimes a salad
Spaghetti and Catfish is a Chicago thing. They also often throw in some Cole Slaw. Looks super delicious!
This dish was found mostly in Mississippi and any areas near the Mississippi River (Memphis, Tenn., Arkansas, Missouri) and it traveled up to the Midwest through the Great Migration to Chicago, Ill., Minneapolis, Minn., Milwaukee Wis., and Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
I’ve never had these two together but it’s always sounded good to me it’s literally all my favorite things on a plate 🤣

Growing up in the Midwest Milwaukee Wi, we grew up eating fish and spaghetti every Friday and we still do. It's such a great combination. All your food looks amazing my mom uses wine in her spaghetti roasts and chili. I make my sauce just like this I add a few drops of soy sauce too

Family favorite ❤ can't believe people who haven't seen or eaten this yet its been in my family's favorite foods for over 50 years. Straight from the Mississippi River to the frying pan, we cook ground beef with the spaghetti, Don't forget the hot sauce, Frank's, Tabasco or Louisiana,and the light bread and butter 💥
This is def a Fri night staple for us in Chicago! When I went to college in North Carolina, everyone thought I was crazy! Until I made it! Gotta have the coleslaw and garlic bread too 🎉

Yum! I love catfish fresh fried when I was a little girl my dad would take all five of his kids out to spend the night at this stock pond in Texas. We would fish all day and then in the evening set up some trot lines with dad's special catfish stink bait 😆🦨😩 the big ones come out after dark and we caught a humongous catfish- fried right up in the morning😋🎣 to this day I love and there's something special to me about catching fish right out there and cooking it up right there with onions and potatoes. Outdoor food just taste best I don't know why maybe cuz you're so hungry. Anyway thanks for this recipe have a fabulous day Camirra ❤️

There's about 3000 species of catfish, of which there are 45 in Canada. Internet says "brown bullhead" is good for eating. If no one is going to sell you one, ask a sports fisherman.

Catfish alongside Spaghetti & Meatballs go good together especially in this recipe. I'm NOT sure if I've ever eaten them both at the same time but you certainly made them look absolutely delicious when you were preparing & cooking them for all the CZcamsrs & subscribers around to see, Ms. Camirra.
