- Today we visit the main Triumph Visitors Centre.
On google it said it was open but it turns out it was closed. (actually turns out that they have 2 google listings and I was looking at the wrong one! oops)
Extra security was on site due to some travellers taking over some land and they was not happy about the camera.

If their visitors center requires you to wear a hi-vis jacket they have more problems than someone with a camera.
The security guard was decent and polite.
I Cant believe you didn't mention the nicely cut trees on the way down to the visitors centre. Missed opportunity to big up this marvelous bike centre👍
Yeah. That's the one time I have thought DJ was just being a little bit awkward on purpose.
He was asked to leave politely and just made more and more of it
I went there on my new £16000 Triumph and was told i needed an appointment to view the factory. I turned away and never bothered again. I had purchased £40000 of new triumph bikes. Nice bikes but hopeless visitor centre rules.
He was polite.....when you start telling him what his job is he was still polite.....you kept pushing him and he was still polite.....and he had a sense of humour
He wasn't polite whatsoever, they made up rules, threatening with the usual lies

The Security staff would be seriously underperforming if they were to witness trespassers on the site they were protecting and ignored them. They should approach and ask them to leave, politely. Which is pretty much what happened here.
Exactly, plus as is the case in this video sometimes it's the so called auditors who act like complete knobheads.
The staff appeared to be in an emotionally disturbed state,. In the end, DJ suggest that this was because a huge influx of real trespassers in caravans. DJ worked hard to help them calms down.
I've really enjoyed watching your videos, i'm still catching up but, I've come across a few now where the security have been extremely polite but you still wont leave, why? I get that sites like this invite you in, they're also lacking signage but surely it's just polite to leave when asked?
When security start making stuff up (Hi-Vis, Road Safety, the Building is Closed so that means you can't be on the Publicly Accessible Exterior etc) to force someone to leave or leave quicker, or when they're rude (like the second guy), then people like DJ will refuse to leave and refute their nonsense, until they understand that they can't boss people about.
I would do the same as DJ.
It's basically like me being told I can't be stood in my local supermarkets car park when the supermarket itself is closed, yet the vehicle barriers are left open 24/7, and there's no gates or signs to stop pedestrians either, therefore it's publicly accessible.
I would have got me packed lunch out and sat on those picknick benches!😆
After being asked to leave private property?
Once you've been asked to leave if you then refuse it becomes aggravated trespass which is then a police matter as opposed to just a civil matter. This offence can then be enforced by the police whilst also potentially carrying a fine in court.
Why didn't you go & talk to the travellers, that would have been interesting! The security aren't there to evict them, they're there to make sure they don't move further onto the site. Bayliffs evict squatters.
Security was good with what was going on. As for the travellers there is good and bad don't tar them with the same brush.
It’s always a good idea to know how to get to a place before visiting. Some places arent signed posted as well as the place.

Is it not public access, if its closed on certain days they should have put up a sign stating no visitor access.
Like you say, they police cant move the pikies, they cant remove you either.
That happened to me once, wife saying i cant have something . Been single ever since mate :) ... seriously though, youre correct . A Sign would solve a whole list of issues, a proper Visible one, clear and concise . Cheers .
P.S . I downgraded to a Honda 600 Silverwing ... getting a bit older now and want the comfort, ease and weight of smaller touring ride . Ride On till you can no longer ride :) Cheers .

Thailand manufactured bikes assembled in Hinckley UK to pretend they are British origin. Security polite enough though and PAW attempted to get you to leave.
It took me ten years to escape from Triumph. I have PTSD!

I have had a few Triumph motorcycles. Currently have two, a 70 Bonneville and a 2006 Daytona. I always had fun on them. The security guards are usually bad no matter where you go. I like what Triumph has done with style throughout the years..
Alas DJ another poor audit - not sure why you can’t leave you are lawfully and politely asked to do so - it’s not a walk of shame for you to do so - you seem to want to provoke them - shame as most of your audits are enjoyable this one showed you in a petulant way - the security guys were spot on and very patient with you.
Nah this one was stupid, the camera man pissed me off in this, the security was okay and the cameraman was just trying to provoke the situation and get an angry response.

You have nailed it.....the general public gets treated like very dodgy strangers..yet the travellers are treated with careful respect...MASSIVE double standards..this also applies to those who drress up like Toffs to gatecrash events. Con artists make a mockery of security.

You'd think they'd want any free exposure they could get for their crappy products yet Triumph really isn't triumphant.
If you do go back to see the visitors centre, which I doubt you will now, It would be good to see if they have improved their signage.
Great security guard shame you acted like this with them but it is the first video ive seen where you were like this I think you have learnt from this and become a better auditor since 👍

I love these videos im out of work at the moment but when I go back I wish you would come round my area so I can see what the ppl are like at each place. I suffer with anxiety and hate confrontational ppl so this would help a lot.

Yeah, I found this to be a very disappointing interaction from DJA's perspective.
This is actually a really good test for the security and they handled it well. I think you were being deliberately argumentative though as you only went on site to check the opening times and once you got the info you needed you still still stuck around after being asked to leave numerous times.

look up numerous in dictionary to use word correctly: eight is not numerous. And several of their requests were followed by conversation they initiated, delaying the departure. If they had said "go now, immediately" and nothing else, I would have agreed with you

Triumph intercontinental ballistic missile factory....Really ! Put a fluro vest and a badge on some people and all of a sudden they're MI5.
Triumph are within their rights to ask anybody to leave. It is private property. They can ask you to not use the camera as well. In this situation to my knowledge they can also use reasonable force, but it must be reasonable. Supermarkets are in the same situation where the owner, or the owner of the property, can ask you to leave or not use a camera, fortunately most don't. However I am not sure about their car parks as the police treat them as public places where all vehicles must be taxed, insured, carry reg plates, etc. Then you also see supermarkets using vehicles that are not registered, etc.

Tbh I think you spoke to security very rude when they are doing their job ,it's private property and you know you shouldn't be on it
If there’s an implied right of access, he can be there.
They can then remove him.
I think DJ was only being assertive and not rude.
I don’t think he was rude whatsoever if anything the security need to be trained on dealing with visitors rather than jump on them and be very hostile towards the visitor

@@Adamsworld1234 so your telling me you cant visit a visitors centre with a camera also there was no signs to say cameras an video footage was prohibited also it was proven he wasn’t hostile but yet they still jumped on him to remove him from the site also Google had the incorrect timings of the visitors centre opening times so no he wasn’t rude at all he was well with in is rights to enter the site as a visitor

Nerd facts lol, Incorrectly worn hi-viz attire is non- compliant with EN ISO 20471 safety standard regulations as the reflective strips are less visible and do not meet the required standard of visibility. Security staff have a duty of care to themselves and when escorting members of the public or site visitors to prevent et al being hit by site traffic by wearing correctly attired PPE, meaning they should be zipped or buttoned up and not be flapping about in the wind.

Yes they are real. Great trimming skills there. The gardener was mowing the grass over on the right of the site so they must have high standards when it comes to image. 👌
