I think many people in positions of "authority" need to be trained on how to interact properly with people and need to learn de-escalation skills. The lack of knowledge of the law is just scary. Too many people make adverse and incorrect inferences on the basis that someone has a camera and is filming.

Therefore, the general public does not have a legal right to receive the name or SIA number of a security staff.
