2001 Yamaha YZ250F Water Pump Water Side Seal and Boysen High Flow Pump Upgrade

Welcome back!
My great old bike started crying the other day because I went so long without riding... so today we get to change a weeping water pump seal...AND we get to upgrade to a Boysen high flow water pump!
Since the bike doesn't have too many hours on it since last full rebuild this came as a shock, so we'll plan on just changing the water side seal. I do recommend grabbing a kit just in case you'll need to pull the side cover depending on how it looks etc. Also, if your bike has a lot of hours, hard use, or needs a clutch service etc, I would suggest doing a full water pump service including the bearing and oil seal as well as the water side seal.
I have used Evan's silicone based coolant in several toys with good success and cooling, including this YZ. If you use it, it's super important to flush the entire system and use their prep system in order to eliminate 100% of the previous coolant on retrofit systems. On fresh rebuilds it's much easier.
