  • In this video, I talk through the AM2 and AM2S pre-assessment manual, which you can download from the NET website.
    This is the first video in a series of five video’s covering the endpoint assessment, which covers Section A1 - Safe Working Practices.
    Your maximum time allowed is 45 mins, and you will be allowed a minimum of 10 mins to read this section of the candidate assessment manual to prepare for assessment.
    This section covers:
    Safe isolation procedure: which will be carried on your TP&N board, as you would in the real world, before you install anything.
    And
    Risk assessment: you will be asked to fill out a simple risk assessment for the hazards present in the AM2/S along with an estimation of risk. In other words, the likelihood of the hazard hurting someone.
    I then discuss the COMMON ERRORS section, and talk you through the mistakes that people make whilst completing this.
    In my next video, I talk through the Section A, The composite installation.

    Hi Adrian and reader,
    I took my first Am2s assessment a couple of months ago, and I have my resit in 5 weeks time (July 12-14) I feel I am a competent and energetic apprentice electrician and I did put weeks of effort into revising my first time around, but I failed most of the assessment. I am now quite nervous for my resit and feel quite lost on how to revise and prepare, no feedback at all was given and I would really appreciate some advice or guidance from yourself Adrian or from anyone who reads this.
    Adrian, thank you so much for what you have already posted on CZcams, I have only just found your videos and will make my way through, but, referring to what I mentioned above, I do want to over-prepare if possible for my resit, and so further advice from everyone would be massively appreciated.
    Sincerely - Tony

    Hi Adrian, I have my am2 booked for Monday, however my refresher has been cancelled that was supposed to be this Thursday, is the refresher essential and should I reschedule or should I just go ahead with the am2

      How confident are you?
      When you completed your pre assessment check, did you tick competent for everything, or were there things that you weren’t great at?

      @@Pure_electrical_training I feel pretty confident, I’ve been doing the job for 5 years, and I’ve watched most of almost all of your videos and the things I’ve learnt mostly match the way you teach it, there are a few exceptions however thanks to your videos I will tweak my practice

    Hi mate it seems the video doesn’t match the title or the video description. The video is talking about pre assessment not section A1

    I can't find a risk assessment example, I am confused with the results section and my assessment is tomorrow are all them adequately controlled?

    • @Pure_electrical_training

      You’ll probably find that the risk assessment is written on the wall. Have you written a risk assessment at college?

    • @jamesbradley664
      @jamesbradley664 Před 7 měsíci

      A long time ago I know how to do them it was just the result section at the end it is either T trivial risk or A adequately controlled but a few others who recently did it wasn't in theres and in my refresher booklet it states this results section is very important

    The feedback is absolutely terrible if you fail on the fault finding it’s a straight fail zero feedback at all

    • @Pure_electrical_training
      @Pure_electrical_training  Před 3 lety

      I agree, people need feedback to learn and grow.
      What NET are worried about, is people using that information to develop ways to cheat the test and passing it round.
      They all ready have an issue with people spreading the assessment material
