Ha Mick, Glad to see you're still at it and I, we, truly enjoy hearing from you and your adventures in Archery Land. I just got my new reduced power limbs and I'm really enjoying shooting them. Buying limbs and not knowing my draw length was really stupid on my part, live and learn right. Anyway I got a set of cheap 28 pound limbs and with my 31 inch draw length I'm now at my desired 34 pound pull on my fingers. Dropping down in weight actually cut my groups to less than half with almost no fliers / smurfs. I didn't have to adjust my string walking due to the change either at 18 yards. Life is good here in California and I hope for your continued success and keeps those vids coming.....

Mick. Glad I found you on CZcams. You've been answering my question as I am also transitioning from recurve instinct shouting to the bare bow string walking. Can you recommend a middle of the road bow set up and in your professional opinion is there a riser that can double as a competition and hunting riser (ILF)? Thanks and keep up the great work
I would have to say that wf19 has won tournaments and I have taken two deer with it. Paul Helms has won tournaments and shot deer with his dala though too and it’s nice .. let me know what you land on .. you can DM me on Instagram if you like

Gillo g2k, akusta tenbris long limbs, spigarelli zt rest, shibuya plunger. Would love the black recurve, but live in Hawaii, and I am thoroughly enjoying my new week old bow. Great review Mick! I miss my 40# black Hunter, well actually a limb broke. I don't know where it was made though? I got the longbow limbs on Ebay. I still have my 30# Black Hunter recurve, so I'm thinking about paying that forward to a newbie that I know. So Yes I want that bow! Back to the review, I think Cartel, make some pretty good stuff. I just switched to a cartel flipper on my ILF recurve. Much quieter than the Spig knock off I started with. I notice you're getting a bit cinematic with your vids, haven't been watching PM have we? Any way, I'm raving, I guess being in Australia nocks me out of the bow giveaway.lol

Cheap doesn't equate to junk, take your Black hunter longbow for example. I love mine and I only paid about $160.00 ca. for the bow and two set of limbs, a set of 35lb and a set of 55lb for hunting. Nice bow and good shooting. Luke

This is proof of what I have said for years. Short riser with longer limbs will make the draw smoother. My Win and Win is 23in with KAP med.limds and is 32#@28 I tried long limbs but it killed the speed . Good job and video. I need that longbow. Just saying
