if you check in mw2 as well, in the cliffhanger cutscene where allen talks to shepherd, he says a familiar line, “ So how do I look?”. in the mission where you’re first with farah, he says the same line in the beginning

Sorry. Don't mean to rain on your parade. This is long winded and techinical, and its just my POV. it does argue against your point but I don't mean to be rude. I assume we are both huge fans of COD, even if it's gone down in recent years in certain aspects. Just a heads up because I am Canadian and therefore have a apology complex. Lol.
The years might line up, but it doesn't make sense from a storyline perspective. Frank woods is a character in the Black Ops series (and maybe cold war I dunno I haven't played it) while Alex is coming from the new Modern Warefare series. Warzone has crossover from both cold war and MW, but I think that's just because of warzones model. The original seasons before CW told story of MW, while the new set of seasons post CW tell CW story. I don't think Black Ops and MW are meant to cross in a canonical sense, so Alex and Frank are from two diffrent universes from two devs that both make COD games.

Alex is Alex, he doesn't fit with anyone else, now that he's missing a leg. Makes more sense to have him be his own character now, especially since its a reboot.

The only two connections he has to sandman is Alex did serve in delta, which is where sandman is, and both sandman and alex served with price.
Realistically it should be impossible for alex to be sandman, what with him missing his left leg, and being discharged from service for going awol, and now serving with warcom.

This video is taking “Alex’s true identity” to a whole new level.
Conspiracy Alex is one of the delta force operators from mw3. In his bio it literally says he was former army delta which is one of the terms for delta force. The real delta force supposedly wears civilian clothes and what does Alex wear t-shirt and jeans. His first multiplayer skin also has the same pattern as the delta boys

gunnercranmer I made the same points and I believe it’s sandman as well, but sandman died not in the gulag but in a diamond mine, and if you read about it. All three members of team metal say presumably Kia. As well, if it wasn’t for war zone continuing the story we would probably never know Alex lived. COD hasn’t really ever done something like this. Also the leap from delta to cia is actually very easy for tier 1 or tier 2 operators in the US armed forces. So the fact that he had that background as well as previous history with Price I feel like if Alex is a previous COD character it HAS to be sandman.
Alex was CIA, Simon Riley was SAS, remember when Simon Riley went on a joint operation with the CIA in Mexico, that's how I'm guessing they know each other.

I think they didn’t have any American support or UK support so couldn’t use unmarked vehicles, and couldn’t afford it themselves so they had to do it the hard way
Because it was a mission w farahs army and just price, Kyle and Alex. farahs army doesn’t have aircrafts

I think Alex is a combination of a bunch of really popular modern soldiers, like Chris Kyle, or even the SEAL team member who is rumored to have said about the raid on Osama Bin Laden "It's too bad we didn't get to kill him twice". I saw a lot of those same characteristics I see in a lot of my friends who have served over in Afghanistan or Iraq in his character. Good hair, tattoos, and honorable people. For me, he just resembles that.

Honestly you presented this like it’s out on a limb when that’s a solid case, I mean like airtight, that would be one hell of a coincidence. Code name literally shortens to Alex and the story for Joseph fits the description of Alex to a tee. In real life that stuff is just coincidence, but when you’re talking about a story generated over many games these things are intentional.
That one joke in the crossroads mission the joke Alex tells is about the C.I.A going undercover and that’s exactly what Joseph Allen does in MW2

So here is something i noticed: in the store if you have access to the “Mother Russia” bundle with Yegor, the skin and weapon seem to be based on the No Russian Mission. The skin looks very similar to the character models in the mission. Also, the weapon is a light machine gun which is the start weapon for the mission. No we know about Yegors tats, could this be a tie in? Could he be one of Makarov’s agents too from the mission? As a final nail in the coffin for solidifying my theory the image for the package in the store is an image of someone in an elevator with an LMG.

It could be Joseph Allen OR it could be Sandman or it could be a MIX of Sandman and Joseph Allen.
I feel like Alex is actually roach because like u said the name kinda matches. And the reason why I think it's him is cos when Ghost and Alex met at the cut scene they immediately knew each other and mw2 they were good friend and had each other backs and the reason why roach does not have a leg gone it's cos it's a different universe.

my theory - Alex about got away from the facility, and he got far enough from the blast BUT his leg got amputated ( hints why he has a prosthetic leg ) and just went off the radar, then later went back to the CIA under a different name ( Joseph Allen )

I think Alex might actually be Logan Walker's brother from Call Of Duty: Ghosts. It would add quite a bit of background to Simon's character as Ghost and why they where both picked for 141.
While the Joseph Allen theory makes sense, it said in Alex's backstory that he was Delta. The only Delta character I can think of is Frost, Delta Force, Squad Metal. Only possible reason is because he isn't on the mission "Down the rabbit hole", where the rest of Squad Metal dies in the Russian Diamond Mine
I absolutely agree with you. After MW 2019’s campaign I was trying to figure out who the other files Price had. One of those I’m guessing is for Roach, and second Yuri (but that’s a stretch) so far the other file didn’t make any sense. So I replayed MW2 and 3 trying to figure it out. Then I stumbled upon Joesph Allen. Allen was Dubbed Task Force after SSDD. But why would Price have a file on an American when he was working ops on the western part of the world. Like you said this is a reboot anything can go.
