- Here is a easy and effective treatment for your horse's tail. I've been using coconut oil in my horse's tail for years and have found that it works very nicely in making sure that the skin is nice and hydrated and soft. It also seems to improve the texture and softness of the hair in the tail so that it is easier to comb through. now you can totally use either fractionated coconut oil or regular coconut oil. It just depends on what temperature it is outside and how much your coconut oil has melted. I like to do this treatment to my horses Tails about once every few weeks or so. And I have had very good results. give it a try and let me know what you think in the comments
How often do you apply the coconut oil to the horses hair?
About once every other week.
For really dry hair weekly
What coconut oil do u use?!
Costco carries a large gallon for a reasonable price and it lasts a good long time.
Do you use solid or liquid coconut oil?
If the temperature is over 75 degrees solid coconut oil will be in liquid form. If it is Colder than that use Fractionated Coconut oil.
Answer: Depends on Temperature
does it work better in a certain form do you find?
