Right it’s just great to hear this side of her.
She does it a little in Running Out of Time. You can definitely hear where she got that inspiration lol. It makes complete sense for them to contribute to this album. I just love how they've evolved over the past 20 years. This is why they've stood the test of time and aren't just another emo band from that era, but it certainly proves just how great of a band they are.
Their covers NEVER miss. Her voice is so versatile and they’re all so talented. Love Paramore forever 😭🫶

This cover is almost note for note what the Talking Heads did. Even the bridge is the same. It delivers nothing more than last week's pizza re-warmed.

@victoriavvc song is wrong and should be banned as it encourages arson and criminal activity to burn buildings down. It is commanding people to commit arson which is criminal. David Byrne is a criminal since he encouraging arson.
Such speech should not be protected under the 1st Amendment since one cannot yell fire in a burning building.
Probably the best Talking Heads cover I've ever heard. And that's coming from someone who saw them live in 1983 during the Stop Making Sense tour.

I was late to the party and didn't discover Paramore until 2016. The first video that I saw was Last Hope live in Chicago. It is one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time. I was hooked from that moment and watched everything that I found from them. They immediately became one of my favorite bands, and that's a pretty big deal since I've been rocking out for a very long time. I'll be 65 at the end of the month and I'm really happy that Paramore will be a big part of the rest of my life. Every variation of the band has been fantastic and Hayley is absolutely amazing.
That's very cool. I have lyrics from that song tattooed on my neck. It hits a lil close. Has always made a eye well up but makes me happy.

Been a Talking Heads fan since 1977 and all due respect to Hayley and Paramore, this is a fucking great cover. And I'm loving this video; there's no way not to have fun with this song and it's great to see them all grooving.
my husband grew up listening to Talking Heads because his dad was a fan and this song is one of his favorites; he’s not a Paramore fan but i showed him this cover and he absolutely loved it. Paramore definitely did justice to this great song!
My 70yo Dad hated it. I can see she is a cutie & I don't know Paramore's music, but this was blasted into my head as an 80's child. Disappointed!

It's just absolutely amazing to see this kind of energy in the studio, especially when you compare it to old studio clips from '06-'09. These are best friends, having a blast, comfortable with themselves and each other, just oozing with expression and the talent to boot. ESPECIALLY being the first release post-label drop, I love how much joy and passion there is in this, and I'm very much looking forward to whatever is next. Paramore is aging like a fine wine, and I'm drinking it RIGHT up.

I'm an old school "New Waver" and always loved The Talking Heads and never heard of Paramore until today while listening to Apple Music on my headphones. I came to You Tube to watch the video to see who this band is. Wow, awesome cover. Now I have to start listening to other Paramore music I've missed.

One of the best covers I have heard in years. The snarling intensity and growling adds something I didn't realize the song needed. That, and of course the jog-dancing circa "Stop Making Sense" film. GREAT job.

OMFG, I was raised & nurtured on the Talking Heads & never thought in my lifetime I would hear a cover of one of their all time classics mastered so eloquently. Paramore kicked ass with this TRIBUTE to one of icons of modern music. I want more.
Love it. Would pay lots of dollars for a cover album of this style music from duran duran, depeche mode, tears for fears, cars, crowded house, inxs, erasure, maybe billy idol. so good. so glad you stayed pretty close to the original as well.

After Laughter is kinda new wavy and This Is Why is post-punk revival, so if you're coming into Paramore from Talking Heads those two albums are where you can start!
The thing I love about them is that they have as much fun in the studio as they do in concert, they don't do their things specifically for the public when they're live, they are naturally like that!
And Hayley's voice here is out of the world, I don't understand how she can sing like that, it's incredible!

Love the drawing of a burning house 😂 I’m so connected to the lyrics and the concept of just trying to be “an ordinary guy” who’s just “burning down the house”, probably having bit off more than he could chew. Musically, this just flows off the “This Is Why” album, and it’s hard to know if that album was the inspiration or this song inspired it. Either way, Paramore and Hayley just so organically connected to this song - this is a masterpiece!!
Love it. Gosh how cool she is.. and an effect the sound engineer applied to her voice makes it a rare exception of adding to the sound that is perfect already. Iconic

Wow! I'm an old Talking Heads fan from back in the day (saw them live in 79 and 83) and I'm loving them getting the victory lap they always deserved. I don't know Paramore (insert 'OK Boomer' joke here) but their joy and excitement really come through and they really do the song justice. I can't wait for this album to come out.
