I was in the audience of this performance on this hot, sticky day in July 2014 and I always come back to revisit this memory. I've always loved this song but this performance pushed it up to my top 5 of Paramore. "I don't even know myself at all, I thought I would be happy by now." At the time I was a sophomore in college stricken with depression and debilitating uncertainty in the path I had chosen for myself. 8 years later, I'm a college graduate in a career that I love, surrounded by people who believe in me. I stumbled a lot along the way (and I still do) but this performance always reminds me: "It's just a spark, but it's enough to keep me going".
Where was this concert? This is a fantastic performance, one of the best live songs by anyone I've ever seen.

May her soul rest in peace. Losing a loved one is always hard but it's the memories with them that will get us through. I lost my grandpa just a week back and being with family and music has been my therapy. But learnt a big lesson to hold onto our love ones as close as we can and laugh smile and love a lot while they are still here. We are all leaving one day eventually. I feel your pain. I came back to watch this again. It felt appropriate given last night's news. My best friend and I have been the biggest Paramore fans for so many years. We got the tattoos, know every lyric and relate their songs to everything in our lives. She jokingly has always referred to me as "the Jeremy to her Hayley". If you didn't know, last night Jeremy left the band. That doesn't change anything for me. He's still my favorite musician and a big brother-like figure for me. I'm excited to see what he does next (I know he's super into making beats which I can get behind 100%). The same goes for Paramore, I'll be a fan as long as they're around. Actually, I'll be a fan forever. Eventually, Paramore will be over, but their songs will always live on and belong to the people they mean the most to. Thank you Jeremy, thank you Paramore.

This sounds just like the audio version, but just enhanced and better. Imagine being so fucking good that your live version is better than your studio. It just feels absolutely insane to me. Also, this song already makes me feel not alone in this world, but with the crowd, it really shows that there are thousands- millions of people that are in the same boat as me.
I'm certain this isn't her live audio. Compare this to her second Last hope performance live. This is definitely enhanced or some shit. "No one's around" at 0:54 Sounds edited if you listen carefully.

My best friend was killed two months ago, and it's easy to be so much in shock you're in denial of what happened or in denial that you should feel pain, but pain just kind of explodes when you suppress it. To me, this song is about grieving and not be afraid to "let it happen" or to feel pain. You can't be afraid of hurting. At least that's how I relate to it right now.

I've been suffering from some mental and emotional breakdowns after my separation with my husband last January. With this song, i kept on going with that spark (my kids). Im not yet over with the anguish and breakdowns but im slowly coping.
This is my brothers favorite band. He died February 21st 2015. I know 5 years has past but i only feel him still here when Haley sings. His birthday is March 23rd and this is how i celebrate his birthday. He would be 24 this year. Every time i listen to this band it brings me back jamming into his car while he sings (horribly) at the top of his lungs.

I finally got to see Paramore in Seattle. Finally. After nearly 20 years of listening to them, and 16 years since I tried to get my parents to let me see them when they came around before.
They played this song, and before the show my friend met me at the venue and gave me a bracelet that says "Last Hope" on it. When it came on I nearly broke down crying.
Last Hope has got me through some excruciatingly rough times. The high I rode on the couple of days following the concert was absolutely unmatched.
In other news, the show inspired me; and I decided to pick up my first Guitar, it'll be here in a few days. Gonna teach myself to play. It's always been a dream to write music, much less play it or.. anything, really.

I was at that show too! Did you get the little paper that said "Put me on the flashlight of your phone during the bridge of last hope"? Everyone had orange and red and yellow on their phones, it was magical.
This song holds a lot of emotional value for me, I’ve been a paramore fan for years and recently got my first opportunity go see them live in birmingham this year, this was one of the two songs on the setlist that i didn’t know and i felt such a strong connection to it the very moment i heard it. On my way back I googled last hope and cried on my way home listening to it.

I just want to share my experience with this song, in hopes that someone who needs it comes across it:
I first heard this song when I was in university, failing a class. While waiting for my final grade to come out, I bawled my eyes out to this song. It was on loop for about three days because I didn’t know what else to do to keep me sane.
I passed the course.
In the in-betweens, I would find myself going back to this song whenever a big stressor came my way. It sounded like home - it sounded like a second chance, like hope.
Now, I’m in medical school and I’ve been having really bad battles to deal with. I almost quit in my first year. This song saved me.
I haven’t been feeling okay mentally with everything that’s been going on recently. I’m listening to it now (coronavirus time) and the mere sound of the guitar reminded me that I went through so many things (and almost-failures) just to get to where I am now. It’s giving me so much strength to continue, no matter how bad it’s looking for me.
This song really means so much to me and I’d like to thank Paramore for bringing it to life. I know my hardships won’t end anytime soon, but it’s great consolation to know that I have this song to run to when I’m in need of a good cry/release.

Hi, i also wanna thank you because your comment is truly inspiring to all people that are either having a hard time or battling with other problems. In these times i personally think, everybody has to find the song, hobby or activity that keeps one going.
Personally i´m going through times of fear because of school. I´m taking my A-Levels in not even a year (yeah i know its still a long time to go) but i often find myself really on the ground and feeling anxious about the future.

I literally ran to the front of the venue (it was outdoors) and i was screaming it at the top of my lungs. people were looking at me all crazy lol I was with my 2 cousins and our moms. my mom started dying laughing saying "thats my girl this is her song!" I am 22 and have been a HUGE fan since I was 13. My only dream is to meet them swear to God. lol

9 years ago, when this song was uploaded, I had no idea I’d be where I am right now. For all the times I thought I had absolutely nothing, I actually had a small bit of hope to keep going. I’m proud of you, self, for making it this far. We have a whole journey ahead of us, and every day we become better equipped to handle what life throws at us.

This song is so weird to me, at the same time she recorded this I went to live my dream to meet the UK, not knowing that it would be the most tragic part of my life, as soon as I got there my parents didn't want me back they canceled my tickets to fly back to Brazil, probably thinking that I would get rich or something, my money was over, I could not work since they don't accept anyone outside UK to work, I was in complete despair, I dyed my hair blue, I found some free music lessons to calm my self down, I washed so many dishes and worked so hard just to get humiliated and robbed, I left London and went to Brighton, had the most fun ever, got to a point where I did not minded sleeping at the streets, starvation became normal, praying the whole day not to drown myself into the ocean, I made the most unusual friends, God was everywhere, I knew who I was, I managed to contact people to get me back, putting some sense into my family, in 2015 I saw this, the lyrics, her hair, it was like a gift or maybe the best coincidence, my trip was hell but all about hope and finding myself, I sang this to a musician who was impressed, and somehow that experience ended a decade of depression, I want to live, wanna be an artist, still a long way but at least now I know my path, my point would be to never give up! Thank you for reading

Totally original tattoo, I know, but this song and that line perfectly describes what I went trough fighting for a will to live when being depressed and suicidal. It's a reminder to always keep looking for that spark, how tiny it might seem at times.

I can't believe I got to see this live in Cleveland, one of my favorite Paramore songs, seeing everybody's flashlights was magical.
