Paramore always gets the reputations of a "basic" popular band because their songs are very riffy and "poppy". But if you listen closely, their music is actually quite intricate and varied, and the members are all very good musicians, especially Hayley who is still one of the best female rock vocalists ever.

3 years later, but couldn't agree more. Stunning in every way. I hadn't even heard it until recently. I hadn't really listened to the band properly until a few tracks off This Is Why caught my attention. I listened to that album and was blown away.

When Paramore came out I was like 16 and in a band myself and we all shunned them because they were "commercial sellouts". Now I'm 30 and I realise why adults don't listen to teenagers. This band literally gets better every time I listen, especially the drummer!

Listening to these songs is like meeting up with a childhood friend after many years. It reminds me that my childhood was good, and that life is good even though it doesn't feel like it rn.

Nah, life sucks mostly but we get through it until we don't. As humans we have the ability to cope though, with the heartbreak, stress, adherence to mediocrity, man-made laws, taxation without representation, etc.
We escape through music or other forms of media, sometimes religions. Just how it is sadly as life is not good overall. Even if you manage to have the "best" life it will still be miserable for the most part. Add in the human biological functions and it's even worse.
Honestly, most who die of liver failure from drinking or drug overdoses get off easy and likely have the best lives, let that sink in.
I swear that this is the best album from Paramore, ever (in my opinion)...

It's definitely one of their best albums. But in my opinion, All We Know Is Falling, is a much better representation of their raw talent. I still love this album and listen to it regularly.

Our sentience allows us to think and feel everything and there are positives and negatives as always. Just always keep level-headed and stand fast to what you believe in. Nothing will ever overwhelm you unless you allow such to. I love you and so do many others, have a good life and know that people care.
I remember being 16 and my dad had passed away and ´All I wanted’ was the song that I played on repeat, just closing myself off of reality for hours. I remember writing in my diary, school books everywhere really « I can follow you to the beginning just to relive the start, and maybe then we’d remember to slow down at all of our favorite parts »

When I look at reality and I'm scared to get older, because of how everything is shifting so quick. I go back to Paramore they bring be back to when I was a little gir. Even if I had a rough child hood, I wish I could still go back to relive the beautiful memories that I had with old friends and bad memories when I use to get kicked out by my moms ex boyfriend and having to walk late at night at 12 or 1 am for an hour to my dad's house at the age of 12. Everything happens for a reason and we all have a purpose in this life thank you Paramore ❤ please keep creating more beautiful music I love you guys so much ❤
This is the first time I’m listening to the whole album, I can’t believe how many of the songs I already knew were all in one place!!
I first heard this album waiting for a train to London, it was just me and my sister. I was 8ish I think, at the time it came came out. We were on our way to a family emergency and I'm autistic and it was alot to be away from my mum, so we sat on the bench behind the ticket both and she played the album she had downloaded it from her ipod touch, until the train came. It's still to this day one of my most treasured memories, me and my sister dont always get along present day but I love her so much and paramore is kind of our band in a way its something that always makes me think of her. Music can hold such powerful memories.

I think this is the only complete album, from any artist ever, where I like each and every song. Each and every single one.
When I first discovered Paramore - my siblings and I were "camping" infront of my room and my brother played Pressure on his PSP. I was 11 and I was so intrigued by Hayley fronting a rock band. Especially at that age everyone in Paramore was in. Zac was 14/15 behind the drums. Anyways, I went on MySpace and listened to all their songs and downloaded it straight from Ares. Safe to say - All We Know is Falling was my first no skip album. In the Paramore-sphere, the only song I never really liked until now is Still Into You.
RIOT! is easily their best and the most "complete" album they have ever released as a band but this one is around 80% as solid so it's definitely very good.
This is Amazing, back again and it feels like the first time!! I was listenin' a grate latin band called Los Mesoneros, and their sound just like this beautifull melody!!

Maybe work on shit instead of listening to music. I get that your comment took place 2 years ago but try to deal with problems head-on instead of burying yourself in media or playing a victim. It takes two to tango so work together and look at it as a dance. Get through the shit and find a good way to move forward, nobody is perfect as despite being humans we are sentient and more than capable of dealing with anything presented to us.

I remember when this album came out, there was a little bit of divisiveness regarding it because it diverged a little bit from the angsty punk pop rock Paramore we'd been so used to. They still existed, in Ignorance, but they really tried to speak to us back then with the other songs in this track.

Underoath and Paramore were my favorite bands through highschool and to this day are still so important to me as a person. They are contrast opposites but that's just who I am as a person.

Paramore reminds me of like 12 years ago or so when I used to hang out with my best mate listening to music, she loved paramore too, she loved paramore mroe than me though and this album reminds me of her, she had the butterfly as a tattoo. I'm so grateful for that time but I wish it didn't end....

So, paramore was kinda my saving grace because I was such a chaotic person back then, and specifically this album. But it also made me look at other people who I had to sever ties with. But it was specifically brand new eyes that helped me with my self reflection

"modern" Paramore is good, but their first three albums are something else.
Paramore was FORCED to change their sound because of Hayley Williams' injuries;
I still find it hard to see why people like After Laughter more than this but that's beside point. The point is this is my favourite album of all time. I once did a Top 25 Paramore songs list on another video and 10/11 tracks from this album are on that list and the one that wasn't on it wasn't far behind. So I'll just go from the beginning: Careful is my least favourite but I still love it! It is a brilliant opener and definitely rivals For a Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic for best opener. Ignorance is my new best friend because out of every Paramore song it is my Bronze Medal. It has such good lyrics as well as being a banger! Playing God is my GOLD MEDAL! BEST PARAMORE SONG EVER! Why do I like this song so much? Because it is the best written Paramore song of all time that's why. Now I know some people may come back and say that After Laughter is better written in their opinion. I do see their point and while I do like the lyrics they don't grab me as much as they do in Playing God. Brand New Eyes was such a rollercoaster for the band that you can clearly tell how much their feelings came out in the songs. The music is also amazing on this track with some great guitar parts by Josh and Taylor. The video compliments the song and I do think that it really does show just how much the band was falling apart and you could clearly tell that the relationship between Hayley and Josh wasn't good at all at the time they were trying to finish the album clinging on for dear life. Ok so the next track is Brick By Boring Brick and it earns my silver medal! It is incredibly written and is very dark and emotional when you think about it. The video is one of Paramore's absolute best and it really works with the song. Turn it Off is also great and it certainly is a memorable one! It is a popular one and for very good reason. The Only Exception is a very different Paramore song and definitely is one of the most emotional ones ever to be written. As a song I think this one we can all relate to in some way or another I think this song has so many different elements and themes that we can all relate to at least one part. Whether it's getting rejected or not wanting to pursue a relationship to not wanting to believe that love exists to trying too hard for love this song has it all! After all those great tracks it surely can't let us down! And luckily it doesn't with the next track. Feeling Sorry. Definitely in my Top 20. Maybe even my Top 15. This song to me just screams Paramore and I'm all for it. Brilliant music and lyrics like the rest of the album! Next is Looking Up. Brilliant song! Real banger! For me this one slightly reminds me of All We Know Is Falling but believe me that's a good thing. This one actually managed to scrape into my Top 10. Then we move on to Where The Lines Overlap. This great as well! For some reason I'm obsessed with the guitars in this one. This track managed to just squeeze into my Top 10 and for very good reason. is definitely very underrated and definitely deserves more credit. Ah then we come to Misguided Ghosts. Sad, Depressing, Sombre, Quiet, Understated, Upsetting. But Brilliant! I know a lot of those words may sound really negative but being honest those negative things is what makes this song so great! We've had so many great songs on this album that we need a quiet one to bring us back to Earth. I would love this to have been released as a single and for a video to be made for this I can only imagine that. But being serious this track we can put in a real life situation. Imagine that you really want to get a promotion at work. You are trying so hard for that promotion and work yourself into the ground. You then work so hard that you become so tired and depressed. When you are in that moment that to me is what Misguided Ghosts represents in terms of this album. Even though that I know it is about something completely different the track as a whole can be taken in a few completely different ways and that to me is what is so incredible about it. In terms of the actual song it is musically very simple and while I'm not usually a fan of that I do think it works here and if this was too complicated musically it would have spoiled the the track. I went on for way too long there but I thought I should explain how the track speaks to me. Ah what a great album! Now all we need is a great closing track and boy did we get that! All I Wanted has to have some of the most painful but yet incredible and powerful vocals that Hayley Williams has ever sung. All I Wanted is like a cry. It's showing us that the relationship between members (Hayley and Josh in particular) was so broken at the time. Look, I know I've said that before but it truly does come out in this track specifically. I like how the track starts off quiet then builds up to the epic vocals! This tracks and album as a whole are exceptional and each track speaks a different message to me. Aaaand I'm sounding like Charles Dickens crossed with William Wordsworth so I'm gonna sum this up: I REALLT LIKE THIS ALBUM PLEASE LISTEN TO IT! I REALLY RECOMMEND IT! Just to end this off I'll just share my thoughts on the two Twilight tracks as I count them as Brand New Eyes era. Decode is amazing! Great music! I Caught Myself I don't like as much but it's still quite good.
I love both but After laughter helped me out so much during one of my darkest moments. It helped me find my faith in God and gives me so much calm when I listen to that album.
Especially the song 26. Man that song hit me hard. It's probably my favorite Paramore song.
