just watched this and realised my wheel hubs were on 'lock' since i bought my fourtrak 6 months ago. switched them now, cheers. hasven't taken it off road, nor will i because it'll probably fall apart (35 years old) but good to know what to do should it snow this winter. cheers
Have the same model as you but have some problems with the 4H button. Never got it to work so only way i can get 2 wheel drive to engage is by climbing underneath and pull off the vacuum pipe from the transfer case it’s quite a pain. I don’t even have manual hubs so cant do it that way.
Problem with running on tarmac or concrete or anything else grippy is that the 4wd relies on wheel slip to not break parts, if the wheels all have full grip something will wind up or snap, something has to give and generally that is wheels spinning, hope this helps, cheers!
