  • RBDLab is a new Physics addon for Blender. Like the other addon we talked about recently it uses Blender’s physics and particle systems. It can be used for fracturing objects, making them explode, adding smoke, debris, and so on. RBDLab not only reduces the time to achieve great results using Blender, but it can also do more!

Ah couldn't get me this time, already bought this a few days ago! It's awesome, yes you can do this stuff yourself but this speeds up your work flow massively. Had an issue and the developer replied within an hour, awesome addon.

Another addon I have to have... This could be really fun paired with Carl's Simulation Physics Helper. I feel that there are a lot of very good addons that are becoming popular in Blender lately that provide a lot of high-level functions. Things like Carl's Simulation Helper or Simply Cloth Pro are great examples of addons that cleverly combine many tools into interfaces that make it much easier to wield and allows more time on the creative process.

Check out LightArchitect's channel, they have a video literally for that using their Khaos addon (another one well worth the money). It's called "Blender 3d Rocket Launch Simulation: Full Tutorial ft. KHAOS add-on". They just released a full tutorial on simulating jet contrail particle systems as well. RBDLab is great, but so is Khaos. Together they are very powerful tools to add to your workflow

But $70?? Just to more quickly use built-in features? That's not at all worth it to me. The only real thing that this speeds up which is hard to do, is convincing particles.
