doing it right now!
Bought the addon a few days ago and suddenly this video comes out, amazing! What I like so much about it is, that it makes simulating in Blender actually applicable for general use. What used to be a time consuming process with alot of headaches, can be done easily with the addon. It builds upon all the great simulation features Blender has to offer and combines them in a way, that allows quick work with impressive results.
Is there training some where to learn how to use it?
This looks like a plugin well worth the price. Thanks for the heads up.
Clean overview as always Inspi 🌟
RBDLab is the best addon I have bought
Looks so cool!
Thanks for the information!
man... blender need to bring back the game engine so badly.
Bought RBDLab a while back. Worked with it a little bit. I plan on doing more with it in the future...
Great video thank you.
It's not really clear, Is this video an ad for the add-on?
No. The add-on, which I use, is absolutely beneficial for anyone trying to use Blender for professional vfx work
THANK YOU SO MUCH, I really needed such a tool in blender. Blender native simulation tool user interface and workflow is kind of messy and painful
Cool
I'm excited to use this, but trying to figure out why it is morphing and distorting my buildings even when following the instructions with the 3d print add on. It makes it completely unusable when it distorts the buildings =(
I'd love for there to be an embergen clone for blender
That thumbnail reminded something to me...
9/11 changed everything Brian, 9/11 changed everything
this add on might be helpfull to my youtube channel im trying to start
Make a video talking about Appleseed rendering and maybe even others :)
Appleseed fell of hard. Stopped development, and latest version is only for windows os. Luxcore Render is way better, and faster. However, Cycles X really caught up with Luxcore in recent times.
Imagine this level of simulation but in BeamNG Drive
Guys rember that if you buy the addon, consider donating too, since without blender theres no addon :/
But I pirated it
@@Batman-my7wx Blender?
@@Igoreshkin nah, that addon
@@Batman-my7wx Where from?
Imo no one can compete with Houdini. But we don’t need to. What blender really needs is a muscle/skin simulation system. Like a blender equivalent of ziva dynamics.
Indeed no one can compete with houdini when it comes to simulations, even for skin and muscles.
for volumetrics Embergen is a lot better than houdini . and after release of liquigen houdini will be even more pointless. also houdini is so overcomplicated it just doesnt make sence to use it in any production
@@wdkpwr6586 The only thing embergen does better than houdini is speed. That's all. Saying otherwise is completely foolish. Saying that it's pointless also shows even more that you know nothing about houdini. It's complicated for many yes, but there is a reason for it. You can do literally everything with it while having a high degree of control over everything. Also saying that it's it doesn't make sense to use it in any production is hilarious.
@@osefman2763 i thought VFX nowadays look like shit BECAUSE studios want artist to complete things as fast as possible .. so ´´only speed´´ is exactly whi it doesnt make sence to use , so you basically anserwed to yourself Hilari
@@wdkpwr6586 Every single major vfx and game studio in the fucking world is using houdini. Even Nasa is using it. It's the most powerful and versatile software for vfx on the market. Yes it's not real-time, but if you make something fast and it looks like shit why bother. Plus houdini is designed for big studio. It's integrated everywhere, have many options for large scale applications (especially for simulations). Speed is good, and houdini IS faster for bigger studios due to all of that and more. The fact that houdini can also offer a large amount of automatisation is also a blessing for indi artist because it can make you do everything faster. Vfx takes time, no matter what software you are using. It's not the artists or the softwares fault, it's the company's pushing for shorter and shorter deadlines.
let them cook
Honestly it requires a really strong pc to make them look real. And when you add dust smoke or any kind of particles it becomes so laggy and keeps crashing the pc.
ok, I only semi understood... so does it have extra maths that blender does not have??
How does RDBLabs compare to Khaos?
I prefer Tyflow
pl make a video on CG Peers, GFX Peers and CG Persia ......
anyone know an addon like x-particles?
There are none. Which is why I started using c4d again after a while. Don’t waste your time looking…. You either need to stick with x particles or go houdini. I saw a post saying that xparticles was coming to blender in 2023 but nothing was ever said about that again
@@luigitasso1894 yeah bro it’s insane the details stuff people create on X particles, and I was trying to make something like in their reels on blender instead and I was looking for blenderhelp on reddit about this AI image that’s about a very detailed swirly mesh thing and people were roasting me telling me about AI being trash and that geometry nodes can do anything and to just looking online for tutorials like anyone else, I swear a lot of lards on reddit
They didn’t even offer any help other than to do my own research. Mofos didn’t offer any clue about what addons to use, they just started ranting about AI bad like cavemen.
X particles is such a powerful tool
I know it can create super cool stuff
Their reels are nothing compare to what geometry node tutorials are even capable of on CZcams
I also want Blender to be more powerful but as for now, forget Houdini, I think Blender even can't beat Tyflow in terms of Flexibility in simulation. But the time blender takes for development is very short compared to others and with that speed, I will imagine that within 2 years, it will be good enough to use commonly for such work.
Sad to say, but blender is much more than 2 years behind Houdini in terms of simulations. Houdini is just next level
actually we cant compare software direct to direct as both have very different development history, Blender is a general purpose 3d software while houdini is specialized in proceduralism and simulation, people use both tools in their way@@samk9632
Rayfire did it way better for 3ds max over 10 years ago.
pls avoid exaggeration in titles
Don't get Salad it's a scam. Lost 15 min of my life for 2 reboots. On my 4070 I will get 1.38$ for 24h of rendering. It's a fucking insult. So for 30 days I will get like 40$ while my energy bill will cost 3 times as much.
i like blender as a next guy, the thing you can create with it FOR FREE is amazing, but i see no reason to use blender to make animations, you are better off with unreal engine - light, physics, particles all real time. You also get access to quixel and their models and materials just like that
rbdlab is a good addon indeed. but is it a practical addon? in my opinion. it's not. it's too complicated, rather time consuming, and a bit expensive. I would rather use blender default physics system, gemetry nodes rather than using rbdlab. If you are not a professional vfx artist who needs a lot of detailed settings, rbdlab is not a good choice
I'm sorry but this tool does not make Blender better, it really is an outdated tool compared to current workflows, to me it feels a bit of a rip off of the old ray fire plugin for 3dsmax, sometrhing that was fun to use 15 years ago but that has been relegated now to better tools. Does it work? sure, but is it a great tool that lets you art direct and iterate easily? not really.
I was looking for THIS comment
I think if given some time and a redesign of its fracturing system to be procedural it could actually catch up (a little) It won’t ever compare to something like Houdini if it continues to use the Blender internal solver but if it provided a more procedural approach to mesh preparation and fracturing that didn’t rely on modifier stacks so you could iterate on your fracture between sims that would definitely make it more usable. Would really like to see solvers make their way into geometry nodes as well. If we could get a full procedural redesign of RBD lab based on the framework of geonodes that would make everything so much better
Do you have a recommendation for a better tool ?
get out the fake, autodesk.
@@leosmi1 I mean a better tool for Blender?
what’s up with this constant hyperbole “changes everything “ “game changer” blah blah. it’s the latest internet brain rot.
Clickbait isn’t new
Gaza in the thumbnail 🇵🇸
It's looking promising as an add-on, but your information about fracture plugin with particles is a bit misleading, you can use particles with the fracture builtin add-on, why do you do this with your videos. it totally negates the validity, also GN's with creating solvers is probably going to maks this add-on redundant over time! Also we need all these tools to be free in blender than continually buying add-ons, that is going backwards with the idea of Open source! we need to all benefit from everyone elses input, not all sell add-ons that make it costly over time!
Houdini can do it better and more easily, unfortunately
But for a steep 4500 usd. unfortunately.
It doesn't change everything because blender is a free software and paid addons no matter how good they, they will not fill the deficiency of blender
Sounds like you're just poor
@@SkintSNIPER262звучит так, словно аддон за 69$ это по-настоящему дорого для тех, кто вынужден использовать бесплатную программу. Может для жителей Евросоюза и США это дёшево, но вот для остального мира - очень дорого.
@@SkintSNIPER262bruh he is probably using a paid software to say that.
Blender massively competes and sometimes outperforms paid software, and I’ve used just about all the software, free and paid. So what’s your point? Just because the base software is free, that means it’s bad?
@@Duckbusinessman because relying on add-ons is not practical and just less ideal than just having the features inside the software.
There are literally almost ZERO tutorials for this add on. It’s not user friendly either. Good luck.
This is totally false. Since the release of version 1.5, tutorials have been uploaded almost every week, and of very good quality.
@@tebitosan9771 you’re lying lmfao they have about 5 total tutorials, which don’t even work when you follow step by step btw. I have to rely on other creators patron and other forms to learn.
Cool
