Here's a quick video from a quad, which is a bit different coming from me... lol Loads of fun anyway! Recorded at 4K/60fps on the Walksnail Moonlight and stabilized with Gyroflow, 4K OSD rendered onto the VTX DVR. (Thanks to Shannon for the fonts and to Marcelo for work on Avsaases OSD tool to support them!)

The raw FPV feed isn't as smooth, keep in mind this is the 4K video recorded onboard in the Moonlight DVR, stabilized with Gyroflow, then the OSD rendered with a 4K font on top of the stabilized video. It certainly makes you look like a better pilot! lol
from the shadow it looks like a cinewhoop, what quad were you flying?
Unexpected, but nice surprise with the mystery quad. Guessing was one in the hanger that was recently upgraded to Walksnail. Definitely a good idea, investigating HD on a quad and mixing it up.
Might be fun to send a plane off on a close course nav mission and then chase with the quad.
Good idea. I've been trying to talk him into chasing his ultralight with a plane. 🙃
I went FPV quad, as I have spent considerable time flying Helis it was easy learning curve and they are so maintenance free compared to a collective pitch heli. Have a 5 incher and fly occasionally.

lol They're pretty relaxed, and often curious it seems. I like to fly with them when they're hanging out nearby, but usually don't go head to head with them... lol I didn't realize I was right in that one's flight path until it dove under... lol It still came back around to say hi though! :D

I see you also get turkey vultures in your area. Glad they're so chill since I see a lot of them when I go cruising. They're awfully large birds.
Yeah they are pretty relaxed and don't seem to mind when I go flying with them... lol Even with the planes if I get into a group of them they don't mind at all. If there's a few nearby I can go start climbing in a circle and they'll almost always head over to investigate, I assume they think I'm in some lift and want in on the action... lol

Ya look like a natural. Wondered what you might be up to. These days I think a quad is nearly an essential part of the hobby. Certainly changing things up a bit keeps it interesting. I like it all, well except a Heli any bigger than 8in.
lol Yeah me and helis didn't get along too long either! I was learning, but running out of money trying to keep them flying.

@@bonafidepiratemy 5 inch lasted more than a year before I killed an ESC and a motor. The 2inch HDZero quad I've been loving, but I've smoked a FC and finally smoked the WhoopLite VTX, But I took some bad hits along the way. I'm just not ready for the combination of Freestyle, Concrete and quads.

I didn't catch what the angle meter indicates... seems like it's the limit on the pitch n roll? So bar way up it just flies really flat? Bar down more sporty ? That's exactly what I'm looking for lol. I need a beebo noob mode to get the feel of the thing
That green bar on the OSD is a "fuel gauge" of sorts. It starts full and drains through the flight, it's based on the set mAh. 0mAh used is full it's empty once it counts up to the mAh that you set for pack capacity. Part of betaflight. "ANGL" right above it is just indicating the flight mode.
Quads and Walksnail is my weapon of choice. So much easier than Fixed Wing given our eternal winds...Its a lot of fun... Shouldn't you be flying in Air Mode?..or Acro....🤔😏🇬🇧
it's more fun to fly acro (I flew angle when started with quads and tri's too), more plane like...

Mine never says mW in OSD. Always says zero
If you're using ELRS, check what switch mode you're in. It will always show 0mW in Hybrid switch mode. Change it to Wide switch mode and it should work. It's noted in the ELRS documentation here, in the section about Wide mode. www.expresslrs.org/software/switch-config/#hybrid-and-wide-switch-configuration-modes "This is the only switch mode which can show the transmitter power TPwr on the flight controller's OSD." This caught me out too at first and I only found it when backtracking trying to figure out what was wrong... lol
@bonafidepirate yea I'm always on hybrid. Just what it is default. Thank I'll try wide.. I thought was betaflight issue with my FC. Never looked at my ELRS side cause I get it in telemetry.

Back in the day when I flew a few quads with Naze32 FCs I had started flying acro, but never found it as fun as the more relaxed flying with angle mode... lol If I were going for that style of flying I'd try to get more stick time and get better with it, but I'm happy just having fun taking the "easy" approach for now.
