They keep getting more complex by the minute. (And that also equals more expensive) I have never worked on one of these steering units, so I was “soaking up” (bad pun) all the info on where stuff is located! Keep dry in Ontario. I will do my best not to send the rain from Manitoba!
@davebigdog none of the local salvage yards has one. I've ordered an aftermarket remanufactured one. We will see how that goes...reman from GM not available.
We got us a 2014 SHIVVERLAY! It's the 1500, it's got the big 5-3, and it's got no power steering

I think Ill keep my 91 GMC 1500 on the road .
But it adds a new meaning to "power steering leak". I blame the tech who changed the inner tie rod ends. I use screw clamps to secure the boots.
