$150 for a marked up Stagg is not bad from what I've seen in various places. Most I've seen are around $250-$300. But I've heard that's been coming down.
Yeah from a shop that’s really not bad at all. That’s standard secondary around NWFL. I do wonder if they ever sell at MSRP there though which is around 55-70 bux depending on store, location, etc.
The glasses, headset, hat, shaped beard is a crazy combination. At least he didn’t seem pretentious at all 🙄
Thought same thing
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EDITOR BEN!
Brewzle, you lost the clout in these stores when they saw you with Bluetooth headset sunny guy.
Some of my favorite Brewzle videos are when TJ runs into a whiskey fan and has a genuine conversation with them. The buying is not the selling point of these videos. It’s the knowledge and southern hospitality that I’m here for.
Agreed. Hunt, don't need to buy because some stores are just ridiculous on marking their prices.
That Penelope ALW is awesome too! Sitting on the shelf!
Came here to comment as soon as I saw it. That's a must buy!
Westward cask strength that you passed on is absolutely amazing. American Single Malt, but no maltiness on it whatsoever
I’m drinking a Westward CS store pick right now and it’s peach cobbler heaven.
New oak
Never stop making bourbon hunting videos!
So glad you got to visit my home town!
howdy neighbor🥃
Brewzle is the Oprah of whiskey! Love how generous he is!
Happy birthday, Ben (and Bryan with a 'y')
Thank you!
Jim Beam 7 black is great for the price. Definitely recommend. Just picked up a 1.75L bottle of it here in Washington, DC for $36.
My son likes Old Fashions, so I bought a bottle of St Augustine The Saint when I was in Florida. He really likes it.
Sunglasses and a Bluetooth in every store is wild work. Is he your Florida tour guide or your body guard 😂
I’m probably a little of both😂
The “secret spot” is probably Publix Walmart or Winn Dixie on delivery day 😂
Exactly
The “Jacksonville Way”
Shhh! You are way too loud in here. 😅🤫
Yuppp found an Eagle Rare for $40 in the west coast equivalent of Publix.
Nope
Love your videos! You’ve definitely helped me pick up nice bottles I wouldn’t have thought of
I just enjoy seeing what other states have and their prices and the knowledge that comes with talking to locals about the whiskeys.
The hunt IS the adventure!! Don't mind if you score any bottles.
Same! I enjoy the hunt and commentary, regardless of whether you buy a bottle or not.
If you don’t find good bottles/value, I’d prefer the honest reaction rather than buying at a premium to please viewers. I may be in the minority, but most of why I watch is to learn about picks for value rather than rarity.
Picked up the Valencia at PJ's. Thanks for everything you do for the community. I definitely enjoy your content.
yes, it's just as fun to watch you hunt for thing & not buy vs when you buy things. UNLESS its an amazing price.
just show the shelves and talk about the prices and what you find.
I love to see what stores you go to rather you buy something or not.
I went to Brody’s in December and bought a 7 year Old Elk Lucious Venison store pick bundled with Stagg 23B. Both bottles for under $200 total. Was the cherry on top of my vacation!
Yes!! Been waiting for a new hunting, even though it’s only been 2 weeks!! Love these videos!
$229 for that Russells 13 isn’t terrible!
That's a good price, I've seen Russell's 13 for 399.00
Is it that drastically different then the 10 year?
@ImYoutubing247 the 13 is going away and it will be a 15 year, and yes I tried the 13 year and it's good.
@@ImYoutubing247 - yes it is.
All that Buffalo Trace makes my mouth water!!You made me pick up a single barrel buffalo trace Sazerac barrel pick for my first bottle of bourbon. Hard to find here in CT!!! :)
Great to see you hunting in my neck of the woods! The last golden ox is my go to, Drew is super nice and has such a great selection. I was able to get the Michters Toasted Rye from them after seeing your initial review. Keep the videos coming!
I like watching the whiskey hunting videos to give me more knowledge on everything. Here in Canada our stores don’t have the selection like you guys get in the states so it’s cool to get the information.
ALRIGHT CHEECH!!!! Brewzle just went up a notch or two in my book!
“So, you just wait til I get here, and then you go around tellin” everybody I’m famous.”
Famous is definitely subjective.
Getting into bourbon because of this channel! I thought I would hate bourbon cause I tried makers mark and really did not like it, (way too much bubble gum), but than in a hunch bought some woodford double oaked, and loved it. I just got a Russel's reserve single barrel at 110 proof and I'm a big fan of that too!
I love your hunting videos and value your opinions on what to buy at certain price points. I enjoy the "hunt" more than what you end up buying. I always learn something watching your videos.
Big fan of that Sagamore DO. I yelled “buy it” when you hesitated. 😂😂
Buy or not, I watch for recommendations on what to try if I see at my local store along with prices for comparison. Always cool to see that allocated stuff, but most times, they are unobtanium for most casual bourbon enthusiasts.
Blantons gold is only 129 here in Fl if your lucky enough to get it at Wal-Mart
Came to comments to say this. 129 msrp, not 199 that dude said in the video.
Kentucky Owl Takumi is one of my favorites
For things you’re missing: those Wild Turkey SiBs are great value if you can find a Camp Nelson (CN), but most are Tyrone (TY), so it never hurts to check!
I would like to see you try the bourbons you find on the same episode
We actually tried this in a video and the entire audience just bailed, drop off was huge
Very enjoyable as always seeing all the bourbons we don't get to see here in Australia and yep that Jimmy red was a very interesting nice looking bottle ..cheers TJ keep up the good work 😉🥃🙏
Good thing you passed on Nelson’s Green Briar Cognac. It tastes totally different than the Belle Meade Cognac finish. Sadly Belle Meade seems dead in favor of Nelson’s
Brewzel for the win always hookin people up! Love it Fam!
Just bought my first 4 Roses barrel strength (also in Florida), and I really enjoy it. I'm from TX and haven't seen them in Dallas since January and been hunting it hard. It's the OBSQ. Can't wait to try some others.
Some of those bottles at the first shores have been sitting there for years, they probably still have a Blanton's SP in the back if you ask for it...but you have to buy another bottle with it for 100.
Pretty awesome to see Brewzle visit some of my local stores.
Just picked up a 4 Roses private barrel from Golden Ox - Palencia after seeing it there on your video. Pretty cool to have you a mile from my house and visit my favorite store. Cheers!
Good to see @Cheech Ardolino in good spirits! 🤘🤘🥃🥃
KY Owl 10 was Dixon last Bourbon batch, I had Batch 9, Top 5 fav all time, 10 is pretty damn good too. Had Dixon sign bottle 10 at Whiskey Wkn batch 3 🥃🥃
@Brewzle I watch these hunts because I value your opinion on what bourbons are worth searching for and what value it becomes worth it to pull the trigger. You buying it personally basically sets that second point in stone.
Come over here to Sarasota! I’ve got some good spots and a pretty good selection myself. As a 25 year old haha
There are several bourbon hunt channels that don't purchase in the majority of their hunts. People watch either way
I know you don’t look for it or any scotch like stuff but pretty awesome to see a hakushu 18yr in the first store! Hoping it hits near me soon
I don't know about you all, but where I live in Fl. (PCB), 1) you're probably not going to find Stagg Jr., 2) If by chance you do, it's at least 250 bones.. The cheapest I've ever seen it in Fl is $199, so I prolly would've bought that Stagg Jr and been happy about it.
Has to be hand delivered 😂😂
The Jackson Tucky is fantastic.... Also check out the Manifest Distillery stuff too.... another local to Jacksonville.
Oh and you missed from Broudys that Toki by Suntory. A really good entry into japanese whiskey, despite being a malt, you a potent flavor punch of Apple, citrus and some honey. That Hibiki next too it is really good as well also a malt but again very smooth
Jim Beam 7 Year is delicious! And you can’t beat the price! 🥃🤘🏼
Just picked up a Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel Proof at 128.5 proof and a Jack Daniels Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye at 136.4 proof based on your praise in various videos. Can't wait to sip on them both!
You always look right over one of the best rye’s. Pikesville. Grain to glass from Maryland.
Sagamore DO is dessert. Love it.❤
you missed the Yellowstone toasted from the special finishes collection. I personally love the stuff
Also the Wild Turkey Single Barrel on the barcode has the rick house that it came from and some are coming out of Camp Nelson. The code on the label will read CNE ( Camp Nelson Rick house E) or something similar. Those bottles are really good!
I've found knob 12 at Walmart in the last year.
Gotttttta do The good pour in Gainesville.
Previously Jigz picks. Jigz is the man, some say he picked the best barrel of Kentucky spirit to this day
Hunting videos always good to see and hear alternatives. Still need to find my first Staggs but recently found a spot loaded with Weller Antique 107 for $100. Save gas and time.
Another excellent hunting video! I don’t care if you don’t purchase something, but viewers like to hear what you feel people should try and when bottles are priced right. Also, your camera resolution is spot on. Have you upgraded your camera?
New to whiskey and your channel love your videos and learning along the way. Trying to find the little baby Blanton here in Indiana to no avail.
I wish 4R picks sat on the shelves around me! Even at those prices, I'd still buy!
I'm always interested in the prices of the bourbon and what you find. I understand on the budget and your budget is bigger than mine. So if you buy the bourbon or leave it on the shelf that's completely up to you! Keep the videos coming!
Passed over a bunch of Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirits as some of them are Camp Nelson juice
Broudy's had a good price on Barrel #35 I picked up recently.
1.) Sagamore is hands down one of my favorite bottles of all time. Good double oak pick. 2.) I like it the way it is now. with your judgement bourbon hunting. I like looking at what other stores have and I like seeing what you find interesting. Ain’t always gotta buy something. 3.) I forgot what store it was but I saw a blackened ft willet that looked very interesting
Jimmy Red is incredible. Highly recommend.
Bourbon hunting videos are awesome! Love them! If you don’t buy any it doesn’t take away from the video at all 😁
Happy (belated) birthday Ben, cheers!
Mr secret service sure can’t play it cool. That goatee is a kick.
hahaha
Little out of the way if you hit Nashville but travel down to Short Mountain Distillery. As well as Old Fort Liquor in Murfreesboro TN.
Mannnnnn I wish you would have gotten that St Augustine Saint! I love whiskey and old fashioned!
Wait until you see the distillery tour video
Nice. I’m going to St. Augustine on vacay in August. Save me a few bottles 😀
Kentucky Owl bourbon batch 10 was also blended by Dixon. Batch 11 was the first one under the new master blender.
Not really a Jim Beam fan but that Jim Black 7 is pretty good. Still got some of that Beam stank on it but overall not bad. Was finally able to get a bottle yesterday. Think some stores were trying to get rid of the old Black bottles first or all the taters were clearing the shelves (blank spots for weeks at stores).
St Augustine distillery is the only distillery I visited that I did not pick up at least one bottle of something. Fun experience. Bought some merch
I bought A towel and a bottle of rum. Worst tour.
I personally enjoy the finding it aspect and I only really enjoy when you are buying something you really want for yourself. Its your journey we are just along for the ride.
I'm from ky. Seems funny others having to hunt gor bourbon. I guess I've just been surrounded by it working in somerset to Bardstown and Louisville it's everywhere all the time
If you are in Jacksonville, Oxbox 120 from four fathers distillery is a nice grab locally
Jim Black 7 yr was on my list the next time I head to the store.
Same
I found some last weekend, very disappointing.
Wasn't a fan, not sure why some people loving it.
It's everywhere. I assume it tastes like a $20 bottle.
Tastes more like $15 bottle.
I genuinely enjoy seeing what's on the shelves and the prices in other parts of the country/world. No bearing on anything for me; whatsoever, if you buy anything during a hunt. You still do lives, and reviews, etc and so those are always fun too though.
alternatively titled...Florida Man Kidnaps Brewzle
lol
I promise TJ came willingly.
I’ve been to PJ’s because my buddy lives across the street. Found some bottles of Weller at the ABC down the street from there
When is the Scotch Whiskey hunt gonna happen ?
I constantly see all the great bottles you need to pick up for the Brewzle bar.
He''s not the malt guy. A little glance down the aisle would be nice.
But if all I want to see is interesting bottles I can't even image watching the learning curve while he figures out what interesting bottle are.
I hunt in the NY/NJ/CT area and there are only a handful of stores that are easy to get to and routinely have some interesting whisky at MSRP
Would love an Art of Alchemy Small Batch review! Enjoyed the video!
I just like seeing what’s in the shelves in other states and what their prices are. It scratches the itch without me going out blowing my own budget to see what’s out there 😂
If you see a bottle of High Wire Jimmy Red BiB get it. The Classic is good the BiB is even better.
Just picked up a Jimmy Red Single Barrel. I do like it a lot!
I think seeing you buy something gives more credibility, knowing its actually something you felt was worth paying for to try. Its easy to say "I WOULD buy that" knowing it doesnt actually affect your pocket. As far as content im sure were all still watching but for people wanting to emulate these hunts and experience new things seeing what you buy gives those bottles alot of credit for sure.
Saw a bunch of Blood Oath in this video. I was really hoping to hear if anyone has tried it. I picked up one today for $124. Pact 10. Made by Lux Row I think. Also got another Elijah BP and a Redwood Empire Pipe Dream.
Dude I love that you bought that Elvis Midnight Snack! I couldn't resist a pour a couple weeks ago. Let's just say "artifical" comes to mind.
Saint Augustine was founded in 1565
Happy birthday Ben!
A hunt is still just as interesting if you buy or don't cause you showcase what's available to certain areas and the prices.
I like when you hunt it then taste test it on the live. Honestly I like when you and Jill do the Monday live show together.
if you come through Charleston West Virginia, try and hit King Cut Tobacco and Liquor around noon on tuesdays, they get there trucks and almost always have plenty interesting
Love the hunt even if there’s no purchase. Save the videos to watch at weekend. I’m in Ireland so a Michter’s single barrel straight rye is €80.
I like that phrase, "Come For Vacation, Leave on Probation."
