I'm after your level of power (in this vid 717 WHP / 700 WTQ), so I would like to know what your supporting mods were, who did your tune, and what is daily drivability like. Hey brotha thank you! If you watch the second half of this video I talk about daily driveability. Also my previous dyno videos have breakdown of mods/tuner. But basically this platform really only needs a downpipe and tune to get 700/700. Daily driveability is like factory but becomes a beast when you wake it :)
Nice, honestly unless you are strictly going for 1/4 mile times the manual is the better option to mod. it's already almost 10k cheaper than the comp x drive and awd isn't necessarily needed for roll racing so its lighter in that aspect as well and 6mt is just more fun to drive. plus replacing a clutch is A LOT cheaper than getting a built auto trans to hold that power reliably
All that being true… but you don’t need to build the auto trans. The trans is extremely strong. So with an auto you save on not needing to change clutches.
The manual can be even in roll racing but absolutely a big disadvantage for 1/4 mile. The Xdrive is king in that area. The AWD, launch control and rapid fast shifts without losing boost has a tremendous advantage over manual. To get a similar launch has the Xdrive, I’d need to go 15 inch slicks/wheels in the rear vs AWD can get the same launch on stock setup. I didn’t get the car to be a drag monster tho. Manual is for the fun and feels but being fast just makes it that much better :)
Man… this is sweet. What did you add to make the exhaust pop like that and have flames? I have the r44 exhaust I just added on my manual g80. Also I need to tune mine as well. Where should I start?

How do you get rid of the rev hang going from first to second? Turning off auto rev match? I don’t want to get a tune for my g80 base. Love your car bro
Nah brotha auto rev match still on and don’t have a tune to take it off. I think some of the rev hang still there but it’s less than before. I just quickshift so it doesn’t hang. I use the BMS clutchstop which helps.
Hello do you mind telling me about the flex fuel kit? My ecu is also unlocked and I know that there is a white wire that people connect to jb4 The question is did you hook Ed it to the ecu ? Or you just know the methanol content ?
So how has the 6 speed been holding up to the power? I know bmw said they down rated the power on the 6 speed because it couldn't handle the tq. I have been on the fence if i was going to mod mine but after watching your video i think im going to start lol.
Im finally getting my m3 after a year of waiting on my order I have SSR downpipes and valvetronics mid pipe sitting in my garage what else am i missing to get as close as possible to sound like yours
Black is just my brake paint color. These are non Carbon ceramic which are the bigger gold ones you’re talking about. Regular brakes are great. CCBs are better tho with less brake dust. $8000 option

Manual is my preferred choice in the vast majority of cases. The only annoying thing about modern MT is that damn rev hang.

It’s the same engine as the Comp, CS & CSL. I have a manual G80 as well and the S58 is an absolute savage out of the box.

Did you upgrade to the Future Classic SSK and did you do the CDV delete? I bought the SSK hope to try it after the holidays
Yeah did CDV delete with clutch install. Won’t be doing the SSK as shifter is already a good bit tighter after the clutch.

It’s my flame tune via PureBoost. You will have to get your ECU unlocked via Femto first then you can reach out to @pureboost.de on IG for the tune.
