      it depends. The well spoken pundits never say what they're truly thinking. They are too polite to call a spade a spade. For example I couldn't see Walcott pointing out how rubbish Maguire is

      Sadly, Walcott’s character is not what makes a successful pundit. ‘Banter’ and fake outrage is what people think they want to see. No room for down-to-earth, non-attention seeking people like Walcott.

    something i love about the football community is the sadness we all felt for jack Wilshire. We all make jokes about him being jack wheelchair, but its a shame his career ended so soon due to injuries, can only imagine what a top player he could've been

      Injuries ruin a lot of players careers. At least he actually was able to have a professional career at the highest level, some kids get injured before important academy trials and lose everything.

      @@richardsmith9615 no, it's because wenger had a blind spot when it came to goalkeepers and centre backs. All he had to do was sign 2 strong centre backs and an experienced keeper to compliment the array of attacking talent and Arsenal would have been up there.
      I remember him saying no to Marc Schwarzer from Fulham for £3m as he thought he could make a top class keeper out of Almunia.
      Then he had the chance to sign Jagielka, Distin and Cahill all for very reasonable prices but chose to spend more money on Vermaelen and Koscielny.... who were never upto it 🤷‍♂️

      You mention 4 offensive players and state we had a great team, mate come on. We had some great players going forward, but like the saying goes "Offense wins you games, Defense wins you championships" and we were severely lacking in the defense department.

      @@N2theLAS Mertesacker was one of the best defenders I've ever seen. He was scapegoated for cowardly and lazy midfielders. But yeah, we were always light at the back and stacked in forward positions.

      I think he might have actually been faster than Bolt over 40m. If I remember correctly, Bolt was quite a slow starter. Relative to other sprinters of course.
