I just traded in my old 2001 sebring because it was wearing out. I really miss it though and watching this made me feel better. It was not a great car, but I loved it.
I wish you could somehow put the 6 six speed automatic from the Grand Caravan in this car. That gearbox sharply enhances the performance and fuel economy.
No wonder these engines blew up so often in the US. Oddly enough, can't find anyone who has had one blew up over here in Germany. Perhaps it's because we don't torture our engines like you do!
@@simonnyman9031 They have some features that the American models don't have that are required in Europe, such as rear fog lamps and headlight range adjustment. They were assembled in Austria as far as I know. I have a 2001 with the infamous 2.7l with 144000km and it still runs great (engine has never been opened), shifts great, and has never let me down. The only thing I had to replace so far is the oil pressure sending unit
My alternator whined too. Mostly at idle, take-off, low speed. I see it stops when he steps on the gas. Mine did that too. It gave me a few months notice before it finally gave out.
Can you change the temperature from F to C, and the Miles to Kilometres and Gallons to Litres in the built in computer? So that instead of showing Miles per Gallon, it shows Litres per 100 Km
BiohazardProductG3 Nice. Also I think the problem with your temperature gage is because it's on the dashboard, the sun is shining directly onto it, and it shows a higher temperature than it actually is :)
girlfriends dodge stratus blew the trans, timing belt, and head gasket in one drive. the thing about the transmission. it did feel like it skipped second a bit. just shifts early.

I think that's a pretty good deal! I would make sure to give the car a good look over. Make sure the frame isn't rusted out. Check all the fluids such as oil dipstick, transmission dipstick, coolant. You can tell a lot of issues just by looking at those things. How black is the oil? does the transmission fluid smell burnt? etc. see if the owner has any repair paperwork on the car. check the tyre tread. If the owner drives the car like a lunatic, chances are the tyres will be shot. when you check the car out make sure the owner hasn't started the car before you get there. There are many videos on CZcams such as one from ChrisFix on checking a car out for purchase. Good luck :) and thank you for the comment!
Recently got me an 05 sebring 2.7 v6, its a great car. I know what you mean by the transmission, mine does the same thing where it slips into 3rd gear right after second, it must be the way they are programmed lol
Jackson it’s one of the first cars with a learning gear box. With the 2.7L engine, remember to check the oil regularly (every month) and make sure you use the kind of fluids recommended by the manufacturer.

The sound system is most likely an infinity system. the Sebring coupe and 300m all came with infinity. It is a very good system.

yeah theres alot of problems with dodges version of the car. chrysler on the other hand is the opposite.
