I like your videos, cause you show both the sides of wrapping. Sometime actually by mistake wrap does suck, and you show that too. Others don't. That's gr8.
It’s obviously a daily driver so damage is to be expected. Overall it still looks fine. I suppose if you own a wrap business you can change it regularly to keep it fresh.
Hey CK It’s Frank from the future, just stopped in to say you are going to be super successful. Hahah the best part of watching older videos is you know how things turn out. Good stuff CK!!! Love your channel and videos. I own a wrap shop in the US north east myself. Keep killing it brother. 🙏🏼🙌🏼
The way I see this is that brands of wraps have different properties that make them more or less ideal for specific heat range environments which means this product would be great for hot environments but doesn't have enough elasticity to function as well in the brutal cold like an Avery.
I like vivid because it's really easy to order and I can get 100ft rolls. Every time I try to order other brands it's a bit complicated to find a color I want and then they won't sell 100ft rolls and they are more expensive. So plus 1 to the vivvid shop for that!
But think about what your paint is going to look like without that protection. I'd rather have the wrap take the beating. You can just re wrap the front end.
the wrap on the roof still looks brand new vs the wrap that got beat up by the bad weather. They are diffrent brands right? anyways I love the roof wrap. I think it looks better then Hyundai's Piano roofs like on the Sonata's I had wanted a Pinao roof on my 18 Sonata but seeing this makes me want my roof wrap the same way. I need find someone up my way in maryland who does that kinda stuff but on a budget lol
Nice. Chris at 1:29, can you show how you wrap under the rubber around the window area? I have to do mine on the hatch and I need to wrap Matte green over red, so i cant have any red show But I need to make sure I dont mess it up, any red will be horrible! thanks brother. Maybe you have covered it, I just havent seen it.
Great channel. I was thinking of getting my SUV wrapped but is this wear and tear normal? Not sure I can justify paying thousands of dollars for the wrap to be tore up like that within months.
We had a rough winter with temp going as long as -20 degrees for weeks on end. I also don't take care of my wrap. Though, I'd rather the wrap be damaged than the paint
I can't believe TeckWrap charges what they do for calendared vinyls... 3 months and a clearly skilled wrap installer is suffering shrink back and fingers on some areas (such as the mirror) that were clearly not over-stretched.
I live in North Texas (Dallas), we get mild winters usually down to the 30’s for a couple months but we get squelching summers, 100°+ for months at a time (90% humidity). My question is how long do wraps last in our type of area? Especially cars sitting outside 100% of the time....
My wrap has kind of done the same during during the winter, it happens, you can just re-apply fresh material on the panel where its damaged, cost and time minimal.
It shouldn't hurt business. It shows that this could've been your paint instead of the wrap in a harsh winter. Which would you rather? Plus rewrapping one bumper will always be more affordable than repainting one. I've also not treated the wrap very well at all
Well for people who don't know much such as my self, might take it that you didn't do it correctly. Maybe emphasize that it can happen with any wrap or any user? dunno Either that, or have footage of you and your every day routine as to what made the wrap become like that? Meh what do I know lol..
People understand that every material has the possibility of being damaged or chipped by anything. Could be ice, rocks, etc. no wrap is extremely durable to not get some chips or scrapes in it. If you drive the car expect stuff to happen but I’d rather have it happen to the vinyl then the paint on my car. It’s not teckwraps fault cause the same thing can happen to 3m or Avery first hand experience and knowledge
Martin K. Well for easy install yes cast is good doesn’t make it the best ;) I’ve wrapped full cars in calendar no issues guess just determines the men from the boys :)
CK Wraps on another note great videos man keep it up, I’ve been in the industry for a while I can see you get a lot of hate but keep doing you. If you have haters then you’re doing something right is how I look at it
Derek Whittle right. The guy is like at least it's not your paint but paint wouldn't look like that in 3 months maybe 10 years. So spend 3k on a wrap every 3 months or spend 5k on paint job and a clear bra and have it last forever hmm hard one. I mean if your bank is fat maybe
You're a huge help dude. definitely one of the best leveled headed people in the industry

At 1:48 I got a mini heartattack and tought my house was in fire....
Chickenlal same

Thanks for sharing. Most wrap guys wont show this.

Probably someone with a ring on caused the door handle mark

This why I wont get my car wrapped I'm not paying 3k to have my car look like this in 3 months

I guess you would do the burgandy red, your own color on your own car, should be cool.
Will other brands like vvivid and Avery crack and chip like that in the cold? Or is this a con of teckwrap?
Do your matte burgundy you did on the Supra with wrap it up
Satin red would look Awsome on a gen coupe
He already had satin red on his car and yes it looked amazing.

I remove them
Thanks, ill look into that.
satin chrome viper green
Please do it in Matte Metallic Miami Teal!! 👍🏻😁

that's what happens with calendered vinyl, even if it's polymeric
Any issues with the adhesive discoloring white cars? I only trust the main wrap companies but damn do these guys have good colors.
no understood. It's a shitty material. ?? do you recommend for works ?? thank you

If installed correctly you should expect 3 years. If garage kept it could last up to 7 years
If the wrap is pulling back you've done it wrong
I think it's time for you to make a new wrap of your car lol
If I chose a new color, it would be Avery Color Flow Urban Jungle or Fresh Spring
Definitely wrap in your custom Burgundy red...I mean, it's your signature color after all 😀😎. If not that, the Arancio Red-Orange!
LUSTRE CHROME RED and BLACK DRY CARBON
Teckwrap's True blood or VVivids Brushed Gold perhaps???
Whats the product name of the ceramic coating you applied to the vinyl?
The ceramic coating is called Fuez
Did you add that rear camera?
Your custom vivid color
How much cost on rap 2014 dodge sub.? Like the same purple color the sub it's with color
is this a material defect?
Did you wrap vinyl on top of PPF?
Dayum.. Aren't you afraid pointing out the downsides of wrapping? Like won't that hurt your business?
My wrap has kind of done the same during during the winter, it happens, you can just re-apply fresh material on the panel where its damaged, cost and time minimal.
Ah I see I see

Paint doesn't finger like your mirror, rear camera, or every corner you showed

Real D.Y.R.C That's the reason why we used cast film here in Germany. Only the best is good enough.
Martin K. Well for easy install yes cast is good doesn’t make it the best ;) I’ve wrapped full cars in calendar no issues guess just determines the men from the boys :)
You're right, being able to install calendar film without issues will separate the men from boys
CK Wraps on another note great videos man keep it up, I’ve been in the industry for a while I can see you get a lot of hate but keep doing you. If you have haters then you’re doing something right is how I look at it
Not only for easy install. Also for durability. Here is a Cast film better.
When to use primer so edges won't pull back?
Absolutely never
Why not?
Because primers suck
I will definitely not wrap my car. 3 months and it looks so bad. Not good.
What's the name of the color wrap that you have
ArtOfSpeedd teckwrap concord grape
Snipershott Headkiller thx u
ArtOfSpeedd ok, i would like to know the model of this car... do you know?
Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Mario Barretta thanks man!
Predator cloak prototype film time \o/
Possibly 🤔
It’s pulling back because it’s callandered and not cast ... teck wraps on problem
Alex Thomas my customers car is totally fine after 6 months lol this looks very bad only after 3 months
For only three month it looks really bad imo. All that pull back on the edges.
Is this a viivid wrap?
This is TeckWrap
Андрей Бендер whew good..thank you brotha!
i didn't think teckwraps would be this terrible?
