Sadly, if Sachs is right, and he REALLY wanted everyone on board, he'd not just speak to those whose identities are already in alignment, and actually ADDRESS the ACTUAL concerns of those who would question it.

@@sakttan If China invaded Vietnam then Vietnam would have been a part of China a long time ago. Tibet has been a part of China off and on 2500 years before the white man invaded North America and carved out an area to be named "USA." So, in actuality China can't really invade an area that is a part of its own country since Tibet is just a province of China. However, the USA is a land born out of the white people illegally invading lands belonging to the native people of North America as well as lands belonging to Mexico and the Polynesian people. So, get back to me when you have actually learned something about the history of the USA and China, Mr. Hypocrite.
The border disputes between China and India is a problem caused by the British when the British carved out large sections of southern China to give to India since the British favored India over China at the time since they have ruled India more thoroughly than China and have already ruled India for well over 100 years at the time they ventured on to rule China. So, in essence, the problem between China and India is again caused by the white man sticking his nose into affairs that have nothing to do with himself and casually dividing lands to be given to different groups like the lands actually belonged to him. This attitude of the white man has caused all kinds of problems in Palestine where the UK and the US stole lands belonging to the Palestinian people and gave them to the Jews.
The white man did the same thing all over Africa and Asia and other parts of the world that have caused people of different ethnicities to fight for lands because the new boundaries drawn up by the white man aren't the same as the old boundaries that the native Africans, Asians, and South American Indians have known them to be for thousands of years so that when the white man left their country the people naturally want their land back. You see where I'm going with all of the disputes for lands that are caused by the white man?
If the white man didn't go around the world to conquer different lands that didn't belong to him and to steal the resources of different people from around the world for himself then none of these problems would have occurred and there wouldn't be a dispute between China and India over the boundaries. FYI, China never invaded India, the two sides argue over the borders caused by the white man and often have "battles" where both sides throw rocks and sticks at each other. Nobody invade anybody between China and India because if they did there would probably be a major war going on that could get millions of people killed. Likewise, India also has border disputes with Pakistan, Nepal, and other countries. So, why don't you make something up against India for that? Is it because right now India doesn't post an economic threat against the US? Maybe later on when India does you would, eh? So, stop lying through your teeth and making things up. Stop getting your "alternative facts" from the fake news American media!
BTW, I see you're posting hateful lies about China in countless videos that are made about China, are you simply an anti-China racist troll looking to spread lies about China because China is kicking the US's butt in the economy right now? Get a life dude!

Sach's career is one of growth.
From the early 1990s until the mid-2000s, Sachs was one of the most prominent figures preaching neoliberal economics. He made contributions to this ideology through his work both academically (he came out of Harvard) but also he was positioned in key levers of powers to give advice to economies of the post-Soviet era, to help them make the shift towards a neoliberal free market. He was not the key proponent of 'shock therapy economics' but someone who had firm faith in its effectiveness. In fact, he was positioned within the IMF and had the unique responsibility of drafting a thorough plan of 'privatisation' of public assets for the Poland economy. What followed is a familiar story, assets looted by foreign interest/oligarchs for a fraction of the true value, the drastic reduction in wealth and development in Russia in the 1990s, and similar negative outcomes of all other third-world countries that attempted the shock therapy reform.
Sachs made a shift afterward, he learned from his prior experiences and became one of the most important development economists. Perhaps his work with the post-Soviet economies taught him lessons in true experiences, but he became one of the leading proponents against imperialism and exploitation. He begun this line of work with his study of Africa in the mid-2000s, and later became engaged in the development of Venezuela, Nigeria, the debt crisis of Greece, the necessity of green development, and has been one of those firmly in the camp of left. A diluted and inoffensive leftist that leaves much of the radical ideology at the door, but an important positive influence nevertheless.
I find Sach's career immensely interesting and I cheer for his progress. I find it particularly noticeable that due to his past work, he still gets invited by the likes of BBC and other think tanks that are surprised when he no longer follows the empire narrative. It is also telling that he is no longer as prominent in the machine of empire as he changed his tune, after all, he was such a young and upcoming economists in the 1990s, he could have gone far in the establishment if he just buckled and served his role. Hell, if he did, I wouldn't be surprised he would be some sort of FED chairman/EU bureaucrat by now. I also find it particularly interesting, that Sachs has effectively red-pilled himself out of the propaganda of democracy, human rights, and freedom, and reached conclusions that are familiar to the socialist/Marxist left, without relying on those ideologies.
Regardless, I salute him. For him to recognize and shift towards the political stance now is a conscious and difficult path away from much personal wealth and power that is as seductive as it is corruptive. Many before him, as brilliant and as intelligent, would have stayed the course and betrayed intellectual honesty for greed. The fact that Sachs has walked this path shows me he is a good man and a great comrade.

And of course the West is always wrong and the CCP is pure of the driven snow.

The US is not the first country to face a rising China. The tiger economies (South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore) had to face a rising China years before the US. How did they tackle the same problem? No sanctions or trade war, not only because they were not in a position to fight China, but because they knew something about economics. So, the tiger economies upgraded their industries to produce higher value-added goods, and moved on. The US should learn from others. Comparative advantage is economics 101.

Those other Asian tigers all manage to rise up and trade with Chinese to gain benefits from Chinese rising rather than trying to block and sanction them.

You are one of the few in the US who have the correct view of current US and China geopolitics. Unfortunately you are the minority.

...and I've never been to China and I certainly do not see them as an 'enemy', but then I see no enemy in any people; the inevitability comes only from those that create them. ...and the illness of greed will consume all in pursuit of heedlessly consuming itself.

A very fair statement from these two gentlemen. Which angle is China posing threat to make an enemy, China only asking for is leaves them alone?
