Lots of good pistols out there. Still mostly a Glock 19 guy, with some minor mods to make it better. I don't generally recommend DA/SA or external safeties for beginning shooters because a striker fired internal safety pistol like a Glock, some M&Ps , Sigs and others means less to think about when they are faced with that lethal encounter at bad breath distances. Nothing worse than fumbling a safety or a first DA shot and getting killed because of it. Once you have the skills to make that a non issue, I agree you can avail yourself of the additional safety those features give you I personally still think those are best suited for people who OFTEN find themselves in the position of having to pull and even point a pistol in their day to day. But I love how you say that you could get the job done with a 92, a Glock, and HK a CZ or even a 1911. With your obvious experience and skill level I have no doubt that's true. And I think that's the key, acquiring that skill and proficiency to then be able to decide for yourself what features you are comfortable with and finding the pistol that best suits your preference. Even if its carry a 1911, Hi Power or 2011 cocked and locked. Love the CZ, a damn good pistol and an excellent choice for anyone correctly trained. And that is the key I think. Too many people out there more worried about acquiring pistols than acquiring TRAINING and mentored trigger time to get the proficiency in marksmanship, gun handing and tactics that REALLY make the difference. I've been trying to get a shadow 2 compact for months now. I've only ever owned an XDM. But that single action on a CZ is mint.

Exactly. I agree 100% and I prefer DA/SA. I´ve had CZ´s for the past 30+ yrs. and I prefer this to SFP.
