@@Ken-rk3by I sure have and know his history when it comes to fuel tanks, but the fact that he has thought that empty is empty on banana and has never let it go below quarter tank is pretty impressive 😂
I was up hunting in the Colorado mountains. Some other hunters across the way couldn't get their truck to move. It would start, but would shut off every time they put it in drive. Tow company comes way up into the mountains to tow his truck out. Tow driver gets in and realizes the parking break is on, truck didn't need a tow at all. The owner of the truck was so pissed at himself. I bet that was expensive to have someone come up and turn off his parking break.

Similar thing happened to my mom when I was a kid, we were in the Kmart parking lot and when we went to leave, our truck just wouldn't move. Called a tow, but he knew right away what was wrong - the transfer case was in neutral. One of us kids must've kicked it out of gear getting out. Still charged us for the call...

it's awesome watching this videos because I think to myself you guys all have fun hanging out together and working together but at the same time you're trying to run a business and keep up a CZcams channel which is insanely difficult and takes tons of time. But you guys pulled off very well. Keep up the good work and that was nice of you to fix the guy's car after pulling it out of there
I really appreciate you guys showing your mistakes and mishaps. Stuff like this happens all the time (just happened to me for the first time the other day). You could've easily left out the part about the XJ running out of gas but you left it in. Recognizing mistakes is a tough thing to do but very admirable.
LOL!!! My dad always ran out of fuel when I was little. I remember having to walk the rest of the way to Sunday school because he ran out half way there. I was sooooo embarrassed!!!
Good collection of back dates there, what a great team. I would have screamed if I was driving that RV, I might have run away as well. Lizzy yelling at me "Sean come back the're only kids" while everyone else laughed there heads off. Fixing that guy's exhaust at the end demonstrates the commitment to customer service, plenty of others would have blown them off.

In my experience the top half of the tank works a lot better than the bottom half.

Well... that wasn't too bad. The first one was the most involved but you got the truck back onto solid ground without a glitch. Not sure the exhaust was your fault but you fixed it anyway... Great guy!! You guys are always awesome!!

Matt, you need to have the tow truck follow you on all your recoveries. That way you never have to worry about running out of gas.
You can see Matt briefly has this thought, then thinks 'nah, the rollback will just start running out of gas as well then...'
Believe me, one day he's gonna run out of gas on the tow truck.

Also got serious deja vu watching that shock fix at the gas station.....the first video I saw from MORR was the steep chevy recovery on boulder mountain, Matt had to trail fix a loose shock on the way up!

If you know what you're doing a FWD car is fairly capable (To a degree...). The key is knowing what you're doing and having years driving in those conditions.

Matt's so good to everyone and I sometimes wonder if he ever gets upset cause he seems like he's a happy person and loves what he does, and by the way, 👍 thumbs up to Lizzy for the fine welding she does...I've never seen anybody in my area, and my entire life, that lays a beautiful bead of weld like she does. I'm 63yrs young and I tried welding a couple times but when it arc's I shake really bad and I'm to nervous for it lol...If I had a welder of my own, I could maybe do it cause if someone is standing over me trying to grab the welding thing when trying to teach me, I can't work like that and all the 50yrs of mechanics I've done it's either been by myself or me and my brother cause we work good together but I've mostly done it on my own lol...Sorry for the long story Matt lol....It's amazing how good that child welds and I'm sure she's had a great teacher....

To be fair it’s not always viable or even smart to bring more than you may need. Sometimes you have to work with what you can bring and improvise
I said that to a former supervisor, one time, and he cocked his head like a confused dog. LOL. Then he decided I was making sense, with that statement. Because I went to the parts store earlier and got a large box of multiple types and sizes of automotive fuses.
Or ‘Better to be looking at it, then for it!’ Equipment, and I guess fuel!

Hey Matt.....I learned long ago not to trust any gas gauge! I always keep the tank topped up when it gets to half on the gauge and you know what.....I haven't run out of gas in 30 years.
Even Peanut is disgusted.

Excellent job, with all the recoveries, it's nice of you to repair the Hyundai's exhaust but I don't believe it was your fault it was leaking, more where he's trying to drive it, all the best to yous and your loved ones

Many of us saw the box truck recovery from the customer's perspective, a week or two ago. Payton Fisher is the channel name if I recall correctly. Matt always has a back log of recovery videos.

i’m guessing based on Matt’s consistent customer service that he let’s the customer know what happened. The options, and If the customer says sure you can fix it for me I think it becomes part of a video. Seeing some of the cars stuck in some knarly places I think most people are welcoming his generosity. It seems from all the car channels that most people drive a vehicle literally into the ground with little thought to maintenance or service. The percentage of vehicle caretakers and nuts is probably a lot less than we think.
