I bought the same RX 6600M for $135 about 4 months ago because of your GPU recommendation video and I gotta say it is absolutely serving well for me so far! One thing that I had a problem with was the non-adjustable fan speeds which always ran 100% loud when it went over 50c. Though it can be fixed just by flashing an RX 6600 bios into it and you theoretically have a white "RX 6600" on a discount.

I'm weary of 'off-bran' GPUs. I can only buy things ONCE... If I manage to keep money for a GPU, It will be hard for me to send that hard earned money to china and then also wait 2months... But I might have to.. GPUs in my country are priced $100 more than the rest of the world... RX 7600 is $300

I've checked your parts list and I am so jealous that you can get those parts for a lot cheaper than you will in the UK. So it might be that if you're watching from the UK you may need to swap out the parts for cheaper options. Also maybe you can do a build based off the price of parts in the UK market.... not sure if that would be beneficial to you.
UK Price list for same parts you listed for example:
    Mobo - £81
    case £87.85
So you can see after conversion it will end up being so much more in the UK. The UK sucks and needs a micro centre.

With that being said, for productivity focused CPUs, it 100% wouldn't be enough! An 86W average CPU? Fine. The 7950X peaking at close to 230W? Ain't gonna happen

In this build there are not many cables. It would be great if whenever you do a high end built with lot of RBGs (and some controller), you give us some advice on how to properly manage cables so that the other side of the PC, usually hidden, is not a mess. I would also really enjoy if you could explain flow of air in and out

Keep working on it, I absolutely hate cable management but as long as you got a case with holes for passing cables, a good amount of space behind the back and either a few zip ties or some velcro ties, it becomes a lot easier. Additionally, skipping on RGB and getting a semi modular PSU also helps a lot (you can also get a full modular but it's unnecessary as the only real benefit for those is being able to swap the EPS 12V and the ATX24 Pin cables, which only makes a difference for people who need/want custom cables), and removing the 3.5 inch drive cage also helps (although if like me you like to keep HDDs for media storage and use SSDs for apps, that may not be an option)

    Personal opinion:
    - Change the motherboard to a different A620 board, Gigabyte boards lack LED Debug, and even though you can still use a motherboad buzzer, I'd rather have LED Debug as an option.
    - Skip on RGB, will save you some money and cable management becomes easier.
    - Bump the GPU up to a 6650XT, you can find them new for 230USD, seriously even if you need to go 20 or 30 bucks over 700USD, it's well worth it.
    - Skip the WiFi card if possible, most ISPs provide extremely simple routers so unless you swap them out you won't be getting the best out of your WiFi, not to mention that other devices and multiple APs operating on the same router can cause interference, and latency with Ethernet is always going to be lower.

    • @ScatterVolt
      @ScatterVolt  Před 2 měsíci +1

      - My choice for the gigabyte motherboard was due to this video testing the different A620 motherboards out there and the Gigabyte motherboard had the best VRM performance which was my main objective with choosing an affordable yet upgradeable motherboard: czcams.com/video/NpB1c5YlO5M/video.htmlsi=TEFE8l8edMY3-JsE
      - My CZcams videos need clicks or else I can't do this full time haha. My last build didn't have any RGB.
      - I can't go overbudget. Or else I'll get ragers in the comments who'll complain (yes they exist). I always have to go under budget.
      - My target audience for a lot of these videos are pc noobies, and they aren't aware of that. They think in PS5/Xbox terms, so if it doesn't have "wifi" then they usually freak out.
I hope you understand my choices!
