    THANK YOU for making this series for rail pro install. I’m converting from AirWire and I’ve been trying to find videos on how to install but hadn’t found one that was as in-depth as your videos. Very very helpful.

    nteresting topic, since I only drive DCC, such a battery instelation is new to me. I think it's very good.

    Hi, nice videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Can you provide more details on the remote couplers you install here? Maker, where are the available, etc? Thanks again!

      They are MTH remote couplers. I get them from rayman4449 here on CZcams. You might be able to get them from an MTH parts dealer.

    Perfect timing Jonathan. I'm probably going to be hooking mine up this week. At this point in time, I'm going to use a trailing car like you were talking about. One Question, If I understand it correctly you just ran the motor leads from the RP module in the car to power the engine as a whole. Is that correct? I have been thinking about future expansion and figured there were several options but I was going to start with that. Thank Jonathan

      P.S. I love the gator clips. Going to have to get some of those. The set I have now keeps falling over... lol

      @TheeFishGuy  Před 3 lety

      Yes, all you’re doing is taking the place of track power. Motor leads out to an MU plug. The engine will need modified so you don’t back feed power into the track.

    Jonathon, awesome information. I am just starting to get into the Railpro stuff. You have referenced an Amazon item to purchase the LED lamps, but that Amazon item is for 9-12 volt LEDs. The Railpro output is only 5 volt. Will that voltage illuminate the LEDs?

      I am pretty ignorant about ele tropics. What do I do with these. The LEDs are pre-wired with diodes.

    • @TheeFishGuy
      @TheeFishGuy  Před 2 lety

      @@robertprovost3622 those are the wrong LEDs. You don’t want the pre-wired ones.

      @@TheeFishGuy I appreciate the information, but I am now really confused. Your video #3 references rectifier diodes that are needed with led bulbs, and video #4 references pre-wired led that have the diodes in them and are 12 volt bulbs. So, I got the pre-wired leds to use. I have searched the internet, and as usual, find much information but of very little use in this case. Specifically how to wire these 12 volt bulbs with the prewired diodes to operate with the railpro 5 volt supply. Are the resistors needed or only the diodes? and will the 12v leds work when powered with 5 volts? Sorry to be so dumb, electronics is NOT my game.

    • @TheeFishGuy
      @TheeFishGuy  Před 2 lety

      @@robertprovost3622 the pre-wired bulbs can only be wired as if they are motors. If you reverse the wiring you’ll have directional lights. To use the light functions you’ll need the following bulbs and resistors.
