Yeah man! Don’t do it. This will be your first dodge and you want to future proof yourself. Get the first gen of the new body in 2021! Keep the Nissan as your daily! I believe all 2021s will offer the wide body as an option as well!

It’s costing more, than you think, full kits $1500-2000. Paint $700 min, instal $500, wheels/tires another $1500. But your right only upgrade if your car paid off
I remember around rumorville when the widebody images started making its rounds people were saying the widebody looks like an aftermarket body kit.
It looks like an aftermarket kit because it is. It was not part of the original design and they didn't do anything to its looks except slap the fender flares on so they could put on some wider tires. The minor adjustments to the suspension tweaked it a bit for the fatter tires, but $6,000? Not my $6,000 that's for sure.
Valid points....especially if you're going from scat pack to scat pack (or SRT 392 to Scat Pack)...but I'm going from Scat Pack to Hellcat.....no sense for me to buy another Scat Pack just for the flares (even though it does add adjustable suspension). But since it's standard on Hellcats, it's a win win for me....I put heavy miles on a car and a used Hellcat ain't feasible for me (unless it's 10,000 miles or less)....the price difference has to justify my final decision....if the 20 models ain't that much difference price wise, I'm getting the 20....they still got 18 models out there for the prices of 19s...smh...but if I do see a 19 hellcat deeply discounted and can add the flares like you said and still be below a 20....its a no brainer....especially if the shop can do it seamlessly.
Exactly man! I agree 100%... it’s just doesn’t make sense to get no reasonable power increase, but added fender flares for an upgrade. That’s just not enough especially for u! By you waiting another year or so. 18-19 hellcats will be dirt cheap. They won’t even be on the lot anymore, cause dodge is making way for new body styles. I tell guys all the time it doesn’t hurt to be patient, a good deal will wait.

@@Knockout360 and I guarantee you Dodge themselves can put on the flares and bumpers if people want the OEM parts...I seen alot of people change their older R/Ts with the Scat/SRT bodies....Hemilife44 did it....
Just got a charger so you think i can just get the wide body and upgrade my tires from 245's to 305 on the same wheels or i would need to buy wider wheels and if i do would they fit the way they do on a factory wide body?

I own a 2020 Dodge Charger scat pack widebody and I think the $6000 upgrade was well worth the money. It’s not just a widebody kit. It has upgraded suspension with larger rotors and bigger calipers all around. It also comes with 20x10 wheels and 305 wide tires. If you really wanted to upgrade your narrow body Charger to look, handle and stop like a widebody you would end up spending a lot more than the $6k option price. Also, installing a widebody kit the right way is going to cost closer to $4k not including the larger wheels needed to make it “look right”. I’m not saying that the kits don’t look good because I have seen a lot on CZcams that look great but they usually all included an additional set of wheels and tires probably costing between $3k-$4k to finish the look. Just food for thought. Thanks for the video.

Absolutely. U don’t NEED it but the look is off. U got a body built for 300 wide tires but u only got 255s under it’s a very weird look

I dont understand why everybody wants to "upgrade" every few years. I mean, it's your money, your life so I'm not mad at you. Do what you like. I dont get it though. I bought a 2019 rt 5.7 and I plan on driving this car for at least 10 years! I'll mod it and make it my own, get the power I need out of it and when its paid off, why would I go in debt again?

I work for Dodge in sales the "wide-body package" includes the upgraded active dampening suspension, 6 piston Brembos and wider wheels and tires. Also purchasing a wide body will hold its value far better than just putting on a body kit. regardless while its your car and your money do what makes you happy.
Im pretty sure all the widebody's have different tuned suspension and different sway bars etc.. least in the challengers, figure they do the same in the charger.

Okay, i wanted to get a 392 Daytona dodge already said there wont be a 2020 daytona. should i wait until 2021 and see if they drop a new trim or should i just get the 2018 392 daytona?
You benefit by waiting in two ways. 1st you benefit because it gives you the option to future proof yourself by getting the brand new body. They may not have the Daytona trim, but I’m sure they will have something comparable too such as an SRT 392 or scat pack something. 2nd you benefit by waiting because if you decide you don’t like the new body , by then the 18-19 will be dirt cheap, and you could prolly get a hellcat 16-17 for a good price too!
