    In today’s video I go to Brecher Built Customs and we show you how to install the Vicrez Demon wide body kit.
    GENERAL NOTES:
    -If you have a pre 2015 challenger you will either have to modify the forward most fender-flare that houses the side marker or you will have to upgrade your front bumper. I opted in for the Vicrez Dodge Demon front bumper as seen in the video.
    -To use the 3M adhesive listed below Simply replace double sided adhesive tape with the glue. Apply pressure with clamps or other methods until glue cures.

    Wow it looks amazing! Thank you for taking your time this will definitely save me few hours of work 😊 . As for the people that have no experience doing widebody installation. Please don't do a DIY install unless you're 1000% sure you can do it, because it will double the work for the shop you will end up taking it to 😉

      Oh I addressed it 2 seconds after it happened. I held up a bottle of 3M adhesive or panel bonding adhesive. That’s how I got them to stick. In this video I followed the instructions provided. In my other videos I had to improvise.
      Others have heated up the plastic flares, added bolts to the back side and drilled holes into the fender to attach fasteners on the other side.
      I know one person who only used the 3m double sided tape but he also modified them flares a bit here’s a link.

    I ask because I have a T/A 392 decal on both sides that I don't want to cover.

      I did the glue but it wasn’t and is not easy.
      I think if you use the 3m 30 pound tape , 3m adhesive promotor, and heat up the tape before you apply it will hold pretty good.
      You don’t need to cut as long as your stock height ( I cut my car because I’m lowered) but I have other friends who didn’t cut and they are using widebody wheels and tires and are just fine.

    CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING! These will not fit a stock 2015-2018 Scat Pack Challenger unless you buy the Hellcat front bumper with the Hellcat chin spoiler. The Scat Pack chin spoiler is thicker where it meats the front fender. So the part with the light marker will not fit because it will be too long. The picture of the camouflage Scat Pack... that had to be modified by cutting and heating the part, and in even one of the picture, you can see that part is not flush to the fender. Through discussion with Vicrez Support, am hoping that they mold a piece specifically for the 2015-2018 Scat Packs. Until then, these will not fit without the Hellcat front end.

    Hey guys, I've had multiple discussions with Brian about this widebody kit, which I myself have being installed by a bodyshop.
    Unfortunately I hit a deer so whilst it's being fixed I'm having this done. My IG has a quick mock up and everything lined up correctly. Only parts that didn't fit/check was the side marker and the fender flare part that surrounds it.
    I've gone back and forth with Brian, vicrez, and my shop. We all decided to glue mine, simply want the stronger adhesion.
    My car is the v6 AWD which is currently now running 20*9 and dropped the car around 2inches. As I don't race like Brian I'm going to see how it fits and looks after the install. My solution to the ride height and wheel sizes are coilovers and wheel hub centric wheel adapters.
    Last resort is cutting the car which I and many of you probably want to avoid. Just one thing I've learnt each build is different and we all have different scenarios, feel free to ask me, Brian , vicrez questions there's always a solution.
    Thanks to Brian for alot of dms, he has been super helpful.

    • @TIRADORACING
      @TIRADORACING  Před 3 lety

      I can’t answer that because I don’t know what model or year car you have.
      I’m assuming you have an older generation like mine (2009 SRT8) in that case the answer is no. The front side marker sits in a different position than the Hellcats and scat packs AND the newer side markers are thinner.
      With my car being a 2009 I had to modify a few things for the bumper to fit, and clear past the older and bigger headlamps.
      The front bumper change was for more than just looks. The car is used on track and I have other oil coolers in the front that needed air to keep temps down.
      So again, to me, modifying my car as a whole with the widebody and front bumper wasn’t just for looks. If your trying to get a show quality fit and finish... go oem. This is not for the beginner or intermediate enthusiast.

    • @TIRADORACING
      @TIRADORACING  Před 10 měsíci +1

      You need 2015+ headlamps. 2014 and below headlamps are bigger than 2015+ headlamps so your headlights shouldn’t be sunken in they should be in the way of the Hellcat grill.
      I trimmed my Hellcat grill and headlamp bezels for it to fit with my 09 HID headlamps but if you want a clean fit and finish you’ll need 2015+ headlamps.
      Not 2015+ STYLED headlamps they need to be from an actual 2015+ car.

      To achieve the look yes. The flares don’t magically pull the wheel and tire out.
      It’s not just about the wider wheel and tire either you need to make sure you find a wheel with the correct offset so it sits more towards the outside
      A good place to start is the oem widebody wheel specs
      Demon: 18x11 -4.5 offset

Because I have 275/40s in the front and 295/40s in the rear. All 20in rims. Also, do you guys have anything on your website other than the carbon fiber hellcat hood? • @TIRADORACING
      @TIRADORACING  Před 4 lety

      Just to be clear Tirado Racing is separate from vicrez. So I do not know all the products they carry you need to ask them directly.
      Secondly there is more to it than just adding bigger tires...
      You need the correct wheels with the correct offset to push the wheel out to fill the gap in the new widebody...the widebody alone won’t magically pull the wheel out further if you know what I mean...
      I personally chose oem dodge Demon wheels in 18x11 on a 315/40 tire all the way around. But also the OEM Dodge Demon wheels wont clear all trim level challengers because the knuckles are different on a rt and an SRT (there is another video of this on my channel). To add more to this the dodge Demon wheels won’t clear the 6 piston brembos found on the 2015+ srt/Hellcat models. They will only clear the 4 pot brembos found on the older srt models and the 2015+ scat pack models.

Vicrez SHOULD remanufacture these to properly sit on the body without pulling away. Front part around marker light does not line up with spoilers on Hellcat or Demon. Bottom parts don't stay attached to rocker panels and do not line up correctly. I returned mine as they need tons of modifications to to get them to work. The vicrez kit is only intended for oem ride height. There no way youd be able to fit your car with 325s in the rear and 305s up front and tuck them without hitting the fender. You have to treat this like a traditional widebody build, and cut your fenders. If you look on the vicrez website, the cars they show with the kit have oem size wheels and tires that arent even flush with widebody. If you want wider wheels and tires and lower or bag your car, you'll have to modify your fenders and actually cut the car just like with a liberty walk kit. I wouldn't trust double sided tape. This kit has drawn a lot of attention because of the low price. One other prime example is if you drag race with these fenders and your car squats hard in the rear, the widebody fenders are gonna get knocked off. Flares need to be modified slightly.

      I appreciate the info if you follow me on Instagram you will see I already cut my car and modified the kit to fit MY BUILD. We road race and autocross the car and will run 315’s all the way around.
      If you purchase the kit you WILL need to modify it for your BUILD.
      The easy route is buying a wide body car. I also mentioned on Instagram stories what you mentioned above and I am in no way saying “Go out buy the kit and put it on and you will be fine” what I am saying is if you choose to buy the kit be completely aware that you might have to modify either your car or your kit to fit what your going for and to do so at your own risk and with your own judgement.
      I showed how to install the kit, and I mentioned to use the glue in the video I’m not sure if you watched all the way through.
      The rest of the install is catered to MY BUILD on my specific suspension, wheel and tire combination and I understand that combination will not reflect most.
      As for me the kit is doing exactly what I need it to do and will keep posting updated videos.

    • @TIRADORACING
      @TIRADORACING  Před 4 lety

      I have oem flares too, all I can say is good luck with that endeavor!
      With oem flares you will need to swap out your fenders and replace your rear quarter panel so you can snap the oem flares into place. Same with the front and rear bumpers they have slots for the tabs on the flares to insert to. So you’ll need the oem flares plus fenders and rear quarter panels replaced ( way more than $2,200)
      Or you can grind down the tabs on the oem flares so they sit flush on your car and glue them down. Either way there is no easy answer.
      What I tell everyone is this, you want oem go buy an oem widebody car.

      You need to take these to a body shop. Someone who specializes in body and fabrication. Working on a HEMI, changing brakes, lights, etc is far different than installing body kits. Just look at liberty walk, pandem, etc….
      So far the BEST option is oem through a Mopar direct connection dealership as the parts are now unlocked. Fair warning you still have to cut the rear according to Mopar. I hope this helps.

      @@TIRADORACING I commented on one of your other videos that they need to be glued down that’s the only way to do it. 3M makes an automotive adhesive that dries rockhard for just this type of application and they won’t pop up, there on permanently.

    • @TIRADORACING
      @TIRADORACING  Před 4 lety

      Yea I know.... I glued them on... 3M glue and applicator both linked in my bio. It’s the same product used by body shops to bond panels together. It’s been 5 months since I’ve done it and I’ve had the car in cold weather, hot Texas heat (reading 102 tomorrow), rain and everything in between.
      BUT I do have to say I have many friend son Instagram who solely used the 3m scotch extra strength tape with this kit and they have had success..... and it’s been about 2 years. So to say it doesn’t work with tape is not 100% accurate either.
      I personally do not trust the tape considering this car is primarily used for road course and autocross so bonding them permanently was my only choice.
      Plenty of people reach out to me on Instagram and we DM back and forth I’m 100% transparent about the process and the cost. In my other video I admit I’m not happy with my outcome but I will redo it for a better fit and finish after the 2020 race season ends.

      Others have had tremendous luck with the heavy duty tape but considering my car sees high speeds often I’m glueing them.
      So the solution to all your 175mph, weekly wash, Memphis summer heat was in the video the whole time, imagine that. Even better a link to the 3M glue is in the description so you don’t even have to search for it!

    Do not buy these!! My son bought them for his car paid to have them painted and paid to have them put on. The shop where he had them put on said they are obviously not made for the car. They couldn't get them to fit right at all, the tape is worthless so he had to spend even more money on glue. They look terrible and the shop got nothing but worthless answers when they tried to contact the company. They say he should have been told that he had to have a new front bumper but he was never told that. Information like that should be listed up at the top where it's very clear what you need. He's taking them off as I type this. The first good wind would have probably tore them off anyway. I just feel bad that he had to spend so much money before realizing he'd been taken.

      I’m very sorry to hear this Rachel! I have read and heard this multiple times ( that a shop says they cannot install it), but I was able to do it in my garage and plenty of others with little to no experience have been able to do it, and other shops have been able to do it.
      As for the information on the bumper and the front flares not lining up I know it is mentioned in a VICREZ video and I think it is written on their webpage where you order the kit from. They mention you may have to modify the front flare piece (they also have a video on CZcams on their CZcams page) or you may need to purchase the Hellcat front bumper.
      You may see similar comments on my channel of the kit not fitting or the kit fitting... it seems like it’s a solid fail or a solid pass.
      I’m terribly sorry for your outcome and I hope you find something that works for you and your son!
