    Good to see you and frank together again! Yeah I've been following frank closely on this mod because I'm thinking about doing it. I'm still concerned about rubbing with the new wheels though. Whether you push them out with wheel spacers or push them out with a different offset, the tire diameter is still the same, and I think they're going to rub. The only ways to stop the rub would be to raise the car, use a smaller diameter wheels/tire combo, or cutout the fender. And my car is lowered, so at a minimum I'd have to go back to stock ride height unless I wanted to cut out the fender.

    • @RTLife
      @RTLife  Před 3 lety

    Looks cool for a non factory widebody! But don’t try it in anything less than a hellcat. People say. Oh it’s so overpriced. It’s a 6000$ option. That’s not just for some body haunches. It’s for the electronic adaptive suspension too. Which makes...quite the difference. Just do your research. I don’t want people messing up their nice rides!

    The black charger is a bit over accessorized.

      yah def not. Once I started modifying this RT (tuning, camming, headers), it became more obvious.

    Lol man. I can’t be silent on this one. But been seeing it so much with these cars up there. But if you’re trying to use TAPE or GLUE on your body panels / wings / louvers. You just need to STOP it. Pay a shop and have it done! They need to be installed correctly with rivets / hardware etc.

      hahaha I know what you mean. In the end having it professionally installed will last longer with less issues.

      @@RTLife lol well I get it. I’m a full time CZcams certified DIY guy also. But from all the years I’ve spent watching big time pros on tv. Yeah I’ve never seen them even think about using 3M tape / double sided tap / glue / etc on any body parts. Especially wide body kits / ground effects kits. Etc etc. that just is silly as it gets. But I also know. Not everyone knows as much as others. And experience and mistakes is the best teacher

  • @lovethesmellofracefuelinth7374

    Yeah it's a good way to get one on the cheap, but it doesn't look like the quality is that great and would spend the money on the OEM one when they come out. Not sure when that will be, but Mopar says they are coming soon and call them the appearance package. They're a little over 3K, but there's nothing like the stock ones and can be confident that fit n finish will be spot on..This is the link, if anyone wants to check into it..www.allmoparparts.com/sku/srtdemonpkg.html

      @@RTLife yeah they are, but I've seen good quality kits go for around 2500 and are always going to pay more for factory made parts. Yes they're pricey, but it doesn't surprise me and is always how it is when going OEM

    If the stock fender is not cut, then any rim designed for the real wide body models will hit the stock narrow fenders. The stock narrow fenders will not allow the wider rims to travel enough when going over larger dips.
    If you want the wider look, then do it right and modify the stock fenders. Anything short of this is asking for trouble.
